Ryan has been an amazing addition to Oliver's weekly routine! Ryan takes him on scenic and long hikes. I really appreciate the pictures and text updates that Ryan sends me about their adventures, it makes me feel really at ease that our baby boy is in good hands. Oliver comes home both mentally and physically exercised, it makes such a huge impact on his demeanor. Another service that Ryan offers is care visits while we are away overnight or for extended time during the day. At first I was worried about leaving our Oliver home alone overnight, but after trying this service out it has been a useful and convenient option for us. When we come home we can tell that Oliver is not anxious or stressed. Having someone we can count on to take care of our baby boy has definitely added more flexibility to the social lives of two working parents!

She is always SO excited to see him, which says a lot because she doesn't warm up to people easily! He takes her on long walks with different routes around the neighborhood and sends us picture updates. He is very reliable and hasn't once missed a walk, and is very responsive to our changing schedule. I recommended him to my mom and would honestly recommend him to everyone I know. He's fantastic and we feel lucky to have found him!

This is a review for dog walking, doggy daycare, and dog boarding…read more I found Peaceable Pets after a very thorough vetting (I am convinced I should have been cast in the movie Best in Show--yes, that is how much of a crazy dog lady I consider myself). Time and again, people on the Ann Arbor Dog Owners Facebook group mentioned Peaceable Pets. I read all the reviews, stalked Peaceable Pet's Facebook page (where Robin posts videos of her guests and informative articles about all things animals), scrutinized the information on her website, did a meet and greet with Marcy, our dog walker, a play date at the Dellwood Doggy Ranch (required for doggy daycare and boarders). I give it 10/10 stars. Peaceable Pets is an Ann Arbor treasure. You will not find someone more knowledgeable about dogs than Robin. Some reasons I love what Robin offers: 1. She understands my dog's unique personality, quirks, and needs. 2. She prioritizes the safety, well-being, and quality of life for my dog. 3. The pick-up and drop-off times worked well with my schedule, which was variable for a while, and then predictable for another while. 4. I trust her 100%. 5. Every time I bring Hagrid to her, he bounds toward her and doesn't even look back to say goodbye. Every dog parent knows that is a good sign. 6. Hagrid is calm and content when he returns from daycare. ...I could go on and on. As for dog walking, Marcy was wonderful and reliable. A few times I bumped into Marcy while I was walking Hagrid and saw his entire body language and vocalization over his joy of seeing Marcy. There is no stronger endorsement than that, in my opinion. To top it all off, Robin and Marcy have really interesting personalities, back stories, and talents when they are not caring for our beloved animals. Marcy speaks French. Robin sings in a band. They are the absolute best.

Our cats are very shy, but they warmed up quickly to Katy and John. And, although they are very good at hiding, the sitters always were able to spot them somewhere and took great care in seeing that they are doing well. We were very happy with the whole process of getting to know their services and the time and patience they took to get to know our pets and us (and this initial visit was free). We felt that they were very professional in everything, e.g. by leaving detailed reports about our cats, when they visited and what they did during the visits or by sending us email and text updates. Also, we were very happy that they also took good care of our home, watered the plants and brought in the mail. That's a great help too, while on vacation. Our cats seemed like two happy kittens when we returned and we were happy about this :) We have recommended them to our friends without hesitation!

While I was gone,…read moreI got a message from Fur Ball saying that my aquarium filters were making noise but they had "fixed" them. I came home to find the aquarium filters had been taken apart with a piece floating in the tank. One of my fish got stuck in the disassembled filter and had died. They also had left a bunch of lights on. I messaged Fur Ball about this. They acknowledged that they took the filter apart. They could have easily contacted me first before tampering with my aquarium but they chose not to. There did not give a refund; they did not even a mention that my fish was dead. They ignored my last messages. Pet sitters aren't supposed to kill your pets. They should have contacted me about the aquarium and they should have apologized for what they did. I'm sorry to leave this negative review but this was a pretty disappointing experience. Update: Updating my review based on the response I received below. My fish did indeed die while in their care. I discovered it a couple days after I returned but by then it was decayed because it had been dead for some time. I did mention to them that my fish had died. I hadn't expressed my disappointment because I wanted to maintain a cordial relationship. I've since changed my mind and chose to share my experience.
