While visiting Ontario and birding at a provincial park, we ran into a resident of Ontario, in the…read morewoods, and started talking food. He highly recommended this bakery. So we stopped in on our way back to Michigan. We arrived mid-day on a Saturday in September. The cute store was literally empty. Perhaps the post-tourist season combined with the major construction going on in front of the store was the cause. Feel sorry for the business owners on this street. You literally need to park a block or so away, walk along town up sidewalks with a barrier to the street constriction to arrive at their storefront. The two women working the counter were personable and attentive. They gave me lots of time to ogle all the yummy selections. High praise for the selection of baked goods. There is something for everyone: cupcakes, pies, cookies, donuts, bars, fresh bread, flat breads, bagels..... You will definitely find something to your liking here. I also glanced at the Icecream selection. It looked good though not so appealing in a chilly fall day. I chose 5 donuts and paid $18.11. As others have commented, the price is steep for donuts. Grabbed a nice cup of decaf Americano next door at the Daily Grind and my husband and I sat down on a bench close by, on a quant side street, to sample our donuts. We shared. a vanilla covered yeast donut with sprinkles, an Apple fritter and a cream puff. The flavors were definitely good, a solid 4-star performer. The fritter and cream puff were on the small side and perhaps lacked that extra something that you find with some donuts. At our next meal, we also shared a chocolate moose-filled donut and a lemon-filled donut with powdered sugar. We enjoyed the sturdy and not too sweet flavor of the donuts, though we felt the filling was a bit light; much more donut than filling. The chocolate icing gave the donut a nice balance of sweetness. It was excellent. The lemon-filled donut was just OK. The cafe was cheerful with upbeat art and quotes. Nice seating in the back. Though the large selection of products was nice, wondering if a focus on "that something special" would make this bakery five-star worthy in the taste domain. The steep prices would also give one pause, as similar quality can be found for less elsewhere.

During my recent visit to Lion's Head, we stopped in this Tim Hortons for a break. I had an overall…read morepositive experience that made me rate this location as a 4 stars spot. The coffee and food served were up to the usual standards that I have come to expect from Tim Hortons, and I have no complaints in that regard. Another positive aspect was the ample parking space available at the store, making it convenient for customers to access. However, one aspect that stood out and influenced my rating was the cleanliness both inside and outside of the store. Unfortunately, there were some cleanliness issues that affected my overall impression. The outdoor garbage bin was visibly overflowing, and this not only created an unattractive appearance. Inside the store, I observed scattered napkins and other pieces of paper lying around, which detracted from the overall ambiance. Maintaining a clean and tidy dining area is crucial according to me for a pleasant and comfortable environment. I hope the management pays more attention to ensure a more positive dining experience for everyone. Apart from the cleanliness concerns, I also noticed a slight inconsistency in the level of service provided by the staff. The majority of the crew were friendly and accommodating, creating a welcoming atmosphere. They seemed eager to assist customers and were prompt in taking orders and serving food. However, there were a few staff members who appeared disinterested and were not as attentive to customer questions and requests. This inconsistency in service can have an impact on the overall customer experience and should be addressed to ensure a consistently positive interaction with every customer. Despite these areas for improvement, I did enjoy my time at Tim Hortons. The coffee and food were delicious, and the ample parking space was a definite advantage. Moreover, the majority of the crew's friendly and attentive service contributed positively to my visit. However, I hope that the management takes note of the cleanliness concerns and ensures that the indoor and outdoor areas are well-maintained at all times. Additionally, providing consistent and attentive customer service across the entire staff will undoubtedly enhance the overall dining experience for customers. In conclusion, this location Tim's delivered on its promise of delicious coffee and food, making it a preferred destination for many who will travel on this route during peak seasons. While the store's convenient location with ample parking is a plus, there is room for improvement in terms of cleanliness and service consistency. Addressing these aspects will undoubtedly elevate the overall experience for customers, ensuring they enjoy both the food and the ambiance at Tim Hortons.

Check your order before you leave! Especially if going through the drive-thru!…read more My friend and I drove through here on a Saturday morning to pick up breakfast for the group of us that decided we needed a change of scenery so camped out in a hotel room for a weekend. We ordered, pulled up to the window and though we clearly ordered 1 hot and 2 cold drinks. We were handed 1 cold and 3 hot drinks? When clarifying what those drinks were, they finally looked at the screen. This wasn't for the car behind me or someone else in line, this was a completely made-up order! The food was closer to being right, although they still got one sandwich wrong! By the time we argued and clarified and waited for our order, the line for the drive-thru was down Bowes Street. In relaying our experience to long-time Parry Sounders, they guessed which one we went to because it's notorious for messing up orders. When we got back to our hotel, I looked at my grilled cheese sandwich, thought there was a moldy spot on the bread, turns out there was a tiny piece of lettuce between the cheese and the bread. The next day we went to the Tim Hortons on the North side of town (right beside our hotel) and the experience was 10,000 percent better.

Hash brown tastes off, ketchup packets are very sticky, bread is hard not warm (do not like that), coffee grinds on counter, bacon isn't even crispy, soggy muffin (honestly not very good), egg is over-poached, my friend is furious and she doesn't get mad, holy moly!, melted frozen lemonade, muffin tastes like cardboard, limited assortment of everything, crispy wedges? More like raw potato wedges!, and uncooked rubber chicken. Sad to say this is a bit of an embarrassment to Canadians!!
