All ratings below are averaged (from me and my bf): salmon bisque // 9.25 // very yummy and unique. my bf didn't think he'd like it -- he usually dislikes seafood -- but it was great!! creamy, clear salmon taste but no unpleasant fishy/ocean taste that a lot of seafood has. i've never had this anywhere else, props to the chef! thai green curry // 8.5 // my bf says it's a 9. it's good but i feel like it was not my fave, it's lowkey your good, standard green curry that you can get at any thai place duck breast (curry) // 8.75 // very delicious and unique, i'd rate the curry, rice, and duck breast as 9/10, the duck breast itself was a 10/10. the curry was creamy, and they were all delicious and fragrant, pairing well together. however, the mushrooms, carrots, and other veggies it came with are too sweet. they seem like they're glazed with a sauce that has too much sugar. the black rice was surprisingly very filling strawberry matcha trifle // 8 // yummy, nothing majorly wrong with it. reminds me of a strawberry matcha latte. matcha whipped cream was a nice, unique touch i haven't really seen elsewhere despite it not sounding difficult to make. i'd order it again but i feel like it's on the sweeter side, so you can't eat too much of it.

Choosing to have our day here was hands-down the smartest decision we made. From the second we stepped into the venue for our first tour, everything just clicked. We live in Arizona but knew we wanted to get married on the Central Coast. During our tour, Lauren truly listened to what mattered to us and showed us exactly how those details would come to life on our wedding day. That meant everything. We weren't just potential clients touring a venue, we were fiancés getting ready to celebrate the rest of our lives together, and Lauren never lost sight of that. Once we signed on, our planner Lindsey walked us through every detail with so much confidence and warmth that planning from a state away actually felt easy. Something we didn't really think about during this whole process is just how much time you end up spending with your planner - leaning on them to help you through the day, asking them for advice. By the end of it all, Lindsey felt like an old friend and we knew we could trust her with our vision for the day. Camping and picnic areas are available, and extensive hiking trails let you explore this beautiful area of the central coast. The gardens are well maintained and organised. Lots of benches and areas to relax and enjoy the views. There are also lots of sculpture and art installations. Informative signage give informatin about the plantings. Gardening tips help point out which plants might fit your garden's needs. A small but well stocked nursery offers an selection of plants you can buy and take with you.

However, most of them were catered towards wedding venues which were out of my budget for a graduation event. Region Event Center is not only a beautiful setting for a wedding reception, but was the perfect option for my graduation. I had a little less than 100 people in attendance. Region provides more than enough space with its relaxing patio and indoor seating arrangement. I had the best experience working with Paige, the Event Coordinator for Region. From start to finish she was such a wonderful person to work with on my event. We were able to do a tasting and select local wines, as well choose the types of beer from a local brewery, prior to the event. Upon request she also provided us with a list of suggested caterers and external decor companies. She was very knowledgable of the area. The step by step process was so helpful. The day of the event went so well. I received so many compliments from guests on the event space, the drinks, the food, and the friendly staff. Our group have easily visited 250+ wineries and many of those we visited several times. We easily qualify as experts in the area of wine tasting. Based on our visit to Biddle Ranch as well as reviews I read the venue does not put an emphasis on hospitality. Our server (not educator) was nice but she seems to not care. Not care about selling wine, promoting or educating us about their wine and frankly or likes or dislikes. This behavior was repeated with other customers she was serving that day. If we are having a great time we reciprocate with numerous wine purchases and a generous tip. We only purchased the minimum to wave our tasting fees and could only justify the very minimum of gratuity. I truly hope management reads this post and invests time in better training their employees. We are in the area often and would love to have a spot to sip some wine before dinner. Based on this visit, I don't think so!
