Needed new sneakers, and have foot issues lol Scott was amazing. Definitely knows his stuff, knows the shoes, and knows orthotics. As a competitive figure skater as well as a physical therapist of many years, buying sneakers is no easy task and definitely not fun, but Scott was very patient and recommended different sneakers, and orthotics for me. Scott, the assistant manager was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding what shoe inserts appropriate for his plantar fasciitis and foot pain. He patiently explained the details what he really needed for his feet, to get him comfortable with type of shoe he best needed for that condition. I highly recommended him to my friends and families. Needed to purchase a Birthday gift. Since I've passed by the Store in Tampa several times. Checked the Yelp Reviews to see what other Yelpers had to say. Before visiting the Store. Time is $. And, yes. This place can get pricey. The TV adds, are very enticing,informative and do raise curiosity. So off we went in search of the Store adjacent to the Ellenton Mall. From the moment we walked in we were approached in polite and professional manner. The Staff is extremely knowledgeable. They explain from A-Z. Anything you need to know. Cindy the Store Mgr. is fantastic. So is James the Assistant Mgr. and the other Staff. Wether you are a Runner, Walker or need good relaxing shoes. Great Sandals for Fl weather. Or have Diabetes. Your Podiatrist would more then likely agree this is a place to meet your Keep Your Happy Feet Healthy. So, yes some $$$ later made the Birthday Boy Happy. And comfy(Healthy). If you are unsure about paying over $200 for a pair of shoes, please do not be persuaded by the sales person that you have 30 days to return. As I had explained to mine, I have been diagnosed with issues in my feet and have a job standing all day. She prompted me at least half a dozen times that I had 30 days to break them in and bring them back if they did not work. They will not honor this if the shoe looks to have been worn at all because, as they said, they will resell. Otherwise spotless, mine were worn outside (of course) and brought back within two weeks. Seriously disappointed professional here, will not return. read more

My girlfriend was experiencing foot pain after being on her feet all day at school. A friend recommended Happy Feet Plus, as she used to work there. After about 45 minutes of trying on shoes, and taking suggestions from the associate, she settled on a pair of Birkenstocks. After expressing some concern for the price ($192.00) she was told that she could wear them for up to 30 days, and if they were not working out, that she could return them. This was reiterated several times during the time we were there. We purchased, thinking that it was a hopeful win for her feet. After about two weeks, it became apparent the shoes were not going to work out for her, so I headed back to the store. After presenting the shoes, box and reciept, the associate took the shoes out back and returned several minutes later to show me the soles of the shoes. She pointed out what looked like a piece of gum that had been smushed into the sole and told me that she could only accept the shoes if they were in "unworn" condition, and could be resold. I expressed surprise at such a clause ( and that they would sell used shoes) and she proceeded to read the paragraph from the bottom of the 13" long receipt. I asked her how someone could wear the shoes for 30 days, and have them in unworn condition? She told me that they could be worn carefully indoors. She indicated that the shoes had obviously been worn outdoors because of the stuff in the tread of the sole. I indicated that anything could happen, if you had kids, and she told me that she had 4 children, and she would never have something in the soles of her shoes (really?) I was, and am incredulous.....yes, my bad for not reading the paragraph at the bottom of the reciept after the purchase (does anyone?) but as my girlfriend had repeatedly told the associate exactly what she needed the shoes for, and the associate had never mentioned, after repeating the 30 day return offer 5-6 times, that they needed to be essentially unworn, this is a ridiculous policy. I appreciate buyer beware, but having a policy like this is misleading at best. read more

I took my sad, sore feet in to this store after seeing a television commercial for Kenkoh sandals. After briefly browsing a bit I was approached by Michael, a very personable and extremely knowledgeable "Shoe Sherpa" :) He explained the process of how to determine the best type of shoe for my feet, and did the sole scans. He was very thorough in his explanation of the scan results and asked me specific questions about my foot pain and the style of shoes I commonly wear. Armed with all this information, he disappeared into the back room, returning a few minutes later with several different styles and brands for me to try. I have to say, these folks know their products and Michael went in to great detail regarding the construction and benefits of each pair, fitting them onto my feet and checking for proper fit. He was honest and forthright, not afraid to tell me if a particular shoe would not be the best choice for me. He spent over an hour and a half assisting me with selecting the best shoes for my aching feet. In the end I purchased Finn Comfort sandals, Brooks athletic shoes (which he transferred from another location for me) and Aetrex orthotics. I even purchased some amazing foot-hugging socks. My experience here was first class, and I doubt I will ever shop anywhere else for shoes. This place is truly appropriately named, my feet and I are both very happy! read more
