We were not in the door, but a few minutes when David came out and greeted us. He listened carefully and took foot measurements. He came out with everything he had that would accommodate exactly what I needed. He was patient and kind, but most of all he listened. I am very pleased with my wanted to make sure I let others know that this store worthy to purchase quality. Thank you for a great employee. Y'all, do your feet a favor, and make a visit to Happy Feet Plus. My feet are huge. And wide. And everything rubs weird. And stores never carry my size. I was expecting, as usual, to leave disappointed in my beat up, nearly good enough Men's Asics with the holes in the toes. But the gentleman who helped me today was very knowledgeable about my issues. With a quick gait check, measurement, a couple of insoles, and a pair of walking shoes from the back just to try, I slid, like some sort of elephant-footed Cinderella, into the perfect pair of Brooks. I have never tried on a pair of women's walking shoes that fit before now, ever. JP was just what the doctor ordered. My mom is very stubborn. She had terrible back pain everytime she walked. I finally convinced her to go to Happy Feet. JP was honest with her about her issues - high arches that causing her to be off balance due to lack of proper support. Within minutes she was walking without a limp and her back no longer hurt. Shoes and fittings are great, nice selection of shoes and types. I came in here with my family as my uncle and his bro needed some inserts. Wasn't terribly busy at all, maybe one other family. Both employees, a sweet Russian/Ukrainian woman and an older gentleman, JP were there and JP was the one helping us. I get that this man may be trying to be funny at times, but he is also very unprofessional on another level. We almost wanted to leave because most of us were irritated by his in-your-face behavior. He was telling people how to properly tie their shoes, which was disgraceful in his view, talking down to us in a "lighthearted" manner, and telling my uncle's bro..IN FRONT OF EVERYONE..how he trims his toenails too short and that they were infected on some. (Which is far from true) He was insensitive to our physical appearance, telling my uncle that we are fat and need to be taken to the gym, in front of other customers. To top that off, for some reason he was irritated with his fellow employee, muttering under his breath and telling us she's a Russian b**tch and rhetorically asking why she was even hired in the first place. I was floored, was sooo incredibly rude! I could keep going on about what came out this man's mouth, but overall this was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He mentioned he was going to be retiring soon....hopefully sooner than he thinks. We will not be returning. read more

I stopped in a few days ago to check out some birkenstocks. A very sweet Latina woman helped me out with sizing and gave me a foot scan to make sure they'd be good for my feet. She was very patient with me while I was making my decision. I found a certain pair I liked but unfortunately they didn't have that size available. She called another store to see if they would save a pair for me. Very cool! Great customer service which is rare these days . read more

I cannot express enough gratitude to Terry, the store manager, who took the time to help me find the right fitted tennis shoes for both work (I am a nurse) and for working out which I enjoy to do in my free time. I have been wearing ill fitted shoes for so long that when I tried on the Brooks tennis shoes on with the right orthodic insert he picked out for me after the foot scan I almost teared up. I had no idea what it was like to not have pain like that when walking or standing. I am writing this as I head to work and I'm so excited since I have my new shoes on to take on the day! When you are taking your dad to get orthopedic/comfort shoes you don't expect to have the best of experiences - at least with my dad. But I was totally taken aback with the great experience I had here. Jameson (and awesome gal who will be opening her own store in Downtown St. Pete) was totally amazing. I had to give her and this place a shout out. I cant imagine the type of day you have when you are working with people's aching feet and back but Jameson has it down. She knew exactly how to help my dad in the best way that suited his physical needs and limitations and at times old man personality. She was so knowledge, friendly and helpful - even my dad came around and got into it. We left with an even better pair of shoes than we expected to buy. And even though they cost a little more, we were confident in our purchase based on the knowledge Jameson had. It seemed the other people who worked there were just a helpful. read more

Man!! Went here today. What a great experience. Issac and Terry were so helpful. Nothing pushy. Very informative. If you have foot problems like myself, take your time to listen to what they have to say. Ive been going to a foot doctor with no results. He just wanted to sell me a $400.00 pair of shoe inserts which I got at happy feet plus for $57.00. They already make my feet feel better when I walk. I also bought shoes that will help my feet with their problem also. My feet have been bad 5 years, so I'll try anything. So far this seems as if it's going to help me. Wow. For $70 Dollars I got a great orthotic that significantly improved my metatarsalgia. This place is great no pressure. Went to Good Feet first and talk about pressure they wanted me to spend hundreds of dollars for basically the same orthotic I recieved at Happy Feet. read more

My wife purchased a pair of Birkenstocks that really reduced her foot pain from the South Tampa location and returned to buy a second pair for work. This pair had a soft foot bed unlike her first pair but had the necessary ankle strap for work. The sales associate Rea told my wife not to worry as the store has a 30 days return policy. Unfortunatley, after working a shfit in them she developed blisters. When we went to return the shoes today within three weeks of purchase the store manager Mia Poindexter refused to take the shoes even for store credit. Saying "I am not going to eat it." She was antagonistic and combative and this behavior intensifed when my wife asked for the number of a district manager. Now we are stuck with a $140 pair of shoes that are unwearable despite being told she had thirty days to decide if she liked them. Why? Because if you read the fine print they will only take shoes back within thrity days in an unworn condition. How is someone to determine whether an orthopedic shoe is helpful if they don't wear them? Tara the assistant manager is very nice, knowledable, and helpful. However, don't be misled by Rea and Mia - you only have thirty days to return your shoes if you do not wear them. If there is any sign of wear you are out of luck. read more
