What used to be a must go to location and has turned into mehhhh. We used to score great designer pieces at this location and were excited to stop in during our date day in Tampa and I was so sad to see that the store looked like a warehouse. The only good section in the store were shoes . Clothing was so bland that nothing caught my eye which is so disappointing, handbags were 1/5 and no good designer sunglasses. I ended up with a few pairs of great heels but no accessories , clothing etc fir use Service was good abut holy wow if you have to use the bathroom while shopping , run to find someone because the door is only opened with a code. Nothing like a bargain, and what better place than Nordstrom Rack Tampa. Whether shopping online or in-store, I can always find a bargain no matter the reason or occasion. It's seldom that I get to shop in-store, so I do about 50% online and love it. There's nothing like getting a packaged shipped or in-store store pickup with the easiest of easy. The staff are always pleasant and proficient in getting you serviced quickly upon checking out. Definitely my go to store for designer bargains without the designer price tag .... cha ching big savings! read more

Great RACK!! I almost didn't want to review because it's such a great store, I want to keep it a secret.

Found a few brands that i didn't expect to see. Solid pricing, customer services was ok. I'll get it another short for some winter clothes.

BEWARE: Bad customer service & under bad management! Beware when Wanda is the manager on shift. Unfortunately won't be shopping at this location any longer. I went to return a pair of shoes on 9/18/23 that I purchased on 8/18/23. I'm a regular at Nordstrom Rack in Tampa; Woodbury, MN; Orlando, etc! So, I'm familiar with the 30 day return policy. I knew I had until 9/18 to make it to the store to return a pair of shoes that didn't end up matching my dress. When I arrived at the store I was told I was past the 30 day return policy, because there were 31 days in Aug., so Ruby H. informed me I was 1 day late. I had no idea and obviously thought it had been exactly 30 days. Ruby went to ask the manager if they could make an exception considering I didn't realize there were 31 days in the month vs. 30. Wanda the Tampa store manager said no, there's nothing we can do. I'm obviously aware that Wanda could have helped me and simply chose not to It's unfortunate as this is the second time I had an issue returning something to this location! The last time, I realized I had purchased a pair of heels in 2 different sizes. I didn't realize until I went to wear them for a work trip about a month later! I brought them back right away and was asked if I was sure the shoes didn't work for me!! Who wears shoes in 2 different sizes? I wasn't allowed to return them. This store must be under poor management, because I know that Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack typically have great customer service. Both times I filled out a survey in which I was told I would get a call about my recent visit and have not received an email or call from Wanda at Nordstrom Tampa. I guess I will continue to shop at the Woodbury, MN location when I'm there for work. Hoping someone will have a conversation with management at this store! read more

I'm giving this Nordstrom Rack a 3/5! The store was well Supplied but was very messy and did not have a great selection of kids shoes. Even the size 9-9.5 women's shoe sizes were slim in selections. It's a huge store, nonetheless and also has public restrooms!!! You know I'm big on restrooms!!! lol! There is ample parking and the store is in a prime location off Dale Mabry. Extremely busy, and fairly well organized. There is always a line at least 2 or 3 people long when I visit and fortunately they usually have at least a 2 registers open so it moves decently well. The best find from this Rack is always shoes, the clothes are a little more chaotic and I don't find it worth it to sort through but the shoes are endless, organized, and easy to shop. This is my go to shoe store for men's shoes, kid's sneakers (AKA my sneakers), and bridesmaids shoes. The parking is also awesome because it is in a huge lot with several other stores that don't tend to be as busy. read more

They have a lot of sales happening and variety of items. My first time visit there, I had good experience. The staff were really nice and helpful. However I did need some help in the shoes area and there was suppose to be there someOne to help but that never happened. Other than that everything else is great! I visited Nordstrom Rack while they were having a Columbus Day sale event. It was hardly a sale but I left with four pairs of shoes, none of which were actually on sale. I don't shop at Nordstrom Rack often as I typically don't find clothes here that fit well. It seems like the clothes that did not sell at Nordstrom because of fit issues end up at Nordstrom Rack. This may be a misconception, but I rarely find clothing that works for me so I've stopped looking. I do go for shoes though and typically don't have this problem. I am a 7.5, This is usually one of the first sizes to go. Nordstrom Rack has a large selection in the size. They offer anything from more affordable brands to designer brands at significantly reduced prices. For example, I purchased a pair of Nike running shoes, regularly prices at $130 for $36 bucks! I highly recommend for shoes for the entire family! read more

I often get Nordstrom gift cards, but I find the prices at the International Mall quite high even if the quality is good. A clothes horse I am not so I love to go to Nordstrom Rack and dive into the "For Sale" sections. There are even items that were big items just weeks before in the "big store." I like shopping at this particular Nordstrom Rack for several reasons. 1: Its super central and convenient location. Located off South Dale Mabry just south of the Stadium and north of the I-275 overpass, Nordstrom Rack shares a plaza with plenty of recognizable businesses...which means, if you are in need of a shopping stop at the Rack, you're probably also in need of something from Home Depot, Target, Whole Foods, DSW, Petsmart or Homegoods. 2. Solid brands at discounted prices. No joke. Just two weeks ago, I purchased a pair of Kate Spade sunglasses for under $60. Granted, when buying sunglasses you won't get all of the accessories and courtesies you might get at your regular eye or optometry store, but the missing cleaning cloth is worth every penny. 3. Flexibility & Options. From accessories like purses/handbags, watches, and sunglasses to swimwear, clothing and even shoes, Nordstrom Rack has it all....with a flexible return policy to boot. They're picky about some items not having the original tag, but worst case, you'll get store credit instead of full cash back, which most people should understand. My only real complaint is the tendency for this location to have a long customer checkout line. Customers returning items have to wait in the same line as regular shoppers, which can expedite checkout flow for the store overall, but makes for a tiring/boring waiting experience for those simply hoping to make a quick return. I am the most upset I have ever been with an employee at any kind of store, restaurant or anything involving customer service! I went to this Family Dollar on 40th tonight because I have shopped there only once before and had a good experience, so I figured I would go there instead of the one that is literally across the street from where I live. I got ready to check out at about 830 pm and I asked one of the girls where to find something I needed. This girl proceeded to tell me where this item was but stopped mid sentence because 2 guys came up to the counter about exchanging a fan so she just completely ignored me and started flirting with these guys right in front of me so I had had enough and it was my turn to cash out so I asked the other girl where the item was and it actually was by the register so she grabbed my item and was about to start ringing in my items when the first girl came up and said she was going to handle the guys return, I had to bite my tongue so I just let it go but not only did he have a return but I bunch of items I didn't see at first. I still tried to remain patient but then the flirting started up again and talk of plans for the night I could not believe this , now I also must tell you that I can't stand very long because of severe medical problems so at that point I left my cart there and walked out, I also noticed on my way out that there was a HUGE LINE of at least 8 to 10 people had accumulated. There was also something else I didn't mention, these guys had a young boy with them about 11 and he came up to me while I was shopping and asked me to buy him some chips or something but I said I couldn't and when I was at the register he walked right past this girl and the guys he was with and right out the door with the bag of chips!! I am horrified, I had at least 50 dollars worth of items and needed a carton of cigarettes so big sale they lost . Now I know nothing will happen to this girl for this review because it never does, it has happened to my mom last week the same girl and nothing happened so we along with about 10 friends have had it and will now be going to Dollar general from now on. #stayawayfromfamilydollaron40th. read more

Praise the Lord, there is a Nordstrom Rack nearby! For many years I lived far, far away from this store. I could only go there on special occasions since it was over an hour and a half away from where I lived growing up. Now that I've moved to Tampa, the Rack is just a quick drive up the road and I love it. I think this is a great place to get some good discounts on designer threads and occasionally there will be total steals here. But you have to keep your eyes peeled because some brands (and the deals on them) sell out VERY quickly. You can always follow the Rack's Twitter account and sometimes they post about new arrivals so you can get a good idea of what there is at the store. My favorite part of this store is probably the shoe section. There are fabulous deals on all different types of shoes and great deals on athletic shoes. As someone who runs quite a bit and works out 6/7 days a week, it's nice to get a price break on shoes that would normally run me $100+. There are also awesome accessories and beautiful bags here. Great names like Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, and Betsey Johnson can all be found here. Definitely a go-to for the bargain shopper who doesn't want to give up on brand names! read more

I struggle with writing a review for this place because I have found some great deals on some things....My Kate Spade purse was an amazing buy. Clothing is hit or miss, I don't really like that much of Nortstrom's stock in general... My Kut jeans are comfortable and they fit well but weren't much cheaper than regular price... I'm a guy that does not enjoy clothes shopping at all. I don't care how a place is organized. I don't care if the employees are nice to me. Can you get me good clothes at a good price? If so we're good! That being said I've found this to be a great place to get new clothes. You can get some really high quality items significantly cheaper than you would at a mall department store. Just for giggles I went and looked at shirts I would like in a "real" Nordstroms. My eyes almost bugged out of my head when I saw how much more expensive the same type of item would be. I'll stick with "the Rack" thank you very much! Do NOT make the mistake of coming here when there's a big event going on at Raymond James Stadium. Sales and discounts, discounts and sales - yes, I'm a fan. Like many discount retailers, shopping at the Rack can be very hit or miss. Some days you'll find a million things you love, some days nothing. The great thing about the Rack is that they carry of lot of name brands that I can rely on to be quality-Franco Sarto, Cole Hahn, Sperry, True Religion, etc. While I don't usually find clothing in my size that I must have, I have purchased many favorite pairs of shoes from them. Another excellent thing about this store is that Nordstrom's has a discount website called HauteLook, and you can return items you purchase through the webpage at this store. The shopping center at Walter's Crossing is my least favorite in the area due to difficulty exiting the place; otherwise, I would be spending a lot more money at the Rack. read more

I just don't have the patience for this store. The racks are a disorganized mess and you have to hunt through all the racks to find your size because the clothes constantly get hung on the incorrect racks. Also the store is depressing, has dingy changing rooms, and completely lacks the atmosphere of a Nordstrom Department Store. Usually I walk out of this store empty handed, but I have lucked out and found some cheap threads for the gym. The selection of purses is really disappointing and the discounts aren't that great. All in all I would rather shop at Nordstrom Department Store in International Mall. I prefer the fancy decor with my piano music and perfume ladies! read more

I love that I can find a vast majority of my work and after-hours wardrobe at the Rack. They have a good selection of designers for both women, children and men. Here during Black Friday, the deals are eh--to be expected, but able to grab some good non-designer and designer apparel. Each Nordy is different, but the Tampa locay was not a disappointment. He was rude, unapologetic, and kept racing around the store like he was on something. He was the only one that wasn't working and was pacing back and forth into the restricted employee area. I can't say that I expected a lot from this location, as I had just been to the Rack in Orlando a couple weeks prior, but I was definitely mistaken. All the shortcomings I'd experienced there (not a good selection of women's hats, not enough of the brands I was looking for) were wonderfully absent here. Right off the bat I found a fantastic chambray hat that I loved. Once I moved to the clothing racks, I couldn't believe the substantial selection of Trina Turk, Ella Moss, Splendid, Robert Rodriguez, Diane Von Furstenberg, and the like. And not just a handful of each, but tons and in an array of sizes. I hadn't really paid attention to the store hours (I was there on a Sunday), but at about 6:15 a very friendly staff member made an announcement over the intercom that they were closed, and we should be moving toward checkout. Apparently they had closed at 6, but instead of rushing people out the door, they continued on and let everyone finish up at their leisure. I picked up the pace, made my final selections and went to check out, and the woman standing at the door to unlock it for the last customers leaving smiled warmly as I walked out at about 6:25 and wished me a good night. read more

Nordstrom Rack is a great place to get designer fashion for less. Wait...was that on a commercial? Anyway, I came here based off of the recommendation of a coworker. I've bought several items at ridiculous, hard to believe prices. I bout a $200 Kenneth Cole watch for $70. Everyone compliments me on the slick design, mesmerizing countenance and sexiness of the watch. I also bought a leather Bosca slim money holder. I bought it because when I go out, I don't like a bulges in my pocket. So I usually just put the essentials in the Bosca money holder - money for the honies, ID and a Credit Card. It works out well. From any designer, this location has it. The store is clean and organized, unlike some discount retail department stores. The checkout process is well managed also. Nordtrum rack is a well-known retail store that I have loved for a long time. I had a very negative experience at this Nordstrom Rack on N Dale Mabry, Tampa FL. I went in to return a pair of shoes and did not know where to go to return them. I was standing there and was about to ask where I am able to do that and the cashier (Charmaine) immediately gave me an attitude. Instead of plainly asking me what I needed-as they were not busy at all- she told me to go wait in the nonexistent line because I would not be helped even though I was standing right next to the register. I felt like a child being lectured for something so pointless. I also felt belittled and that I was not welcome in this store. I do not care if someone does not like their job, but I will not be treated like that again. I will not be going to this store anymore, there are plenty of other places to shop. read more

This one is funny smelling, dimly lit, clothes scattered everywhere in the wrong place, and just overall a poor shopping experience. I will never come back to this one again. This place is awesome if you're a girl. It's OK if you're a guy. I'd say you can tell by the # of female reviews that this is a total magnet for the ladies. The shoes are the big star here. You can find some amazing deals here. Occasionally you'll find a pair of Gucci Horsebit loafers for $99 or some Allen Edmonds oxfords for under $200. They also have a lot of workout/running shoes too. The clothes (for guys) are HIT or MISS to say the least. This is a great place to pick up a pair of designer jeans on the cheap. If you're a shoe guy - this is THE CHEAPEST place to buy Shoe Trees. They're normally $12.90 but can be found for $9.90 occasionally throughout the year. They're made by Woodlore (Allen Edmonds) and would easily be $20 elsewhere. read more

I was disappointed in the shoe prices. I have wanted to shop here since it opened and I was expecting to get "deals", but really $50 for a pair of hum oh slip-ons? The shoe selection was also not great. Did I come at the wrong time? Yuck. I like to be positive so I will say they did have the shoes in the right places. Had a pair of cheap sunglasses for several years that broke apart due to the Florida heat (I'm serious. Went to pull them out of my car holder and they were cracked apart). Seeing the writing on the wall but not wanting to shell out tooooooo much, I headed over to Nordstrom Rack to take a look. Found a pair I liked (70% off to boot) and headed to check-out. Shoutout to Constance at the register for cleaning the glasses for me and providing a pouch for them - maybe this is standard but it certainly felt like a nice touch.
