Instead of taking time away noticeably from another section of my body he simply just added a hot bag on my neck and did some stretches. I am beyond pleased. i didn't have time for a 30 min, and was trying to get a 15 minute massage because my neck and shoulders hurt so much. The man who accepted my offer got me to agree to a 20 min chair massage. I had such tough muscles he moved me to a room and worked my neck and shoulders. it was good! however it was so awkward when another man came into the room and started speaking quickly and seemed like he was yelling at my masseuse (maybe for moving me to a room when i asked for a chair massage?) dude could you have waited? that's terrible customer perception and i'm upset that any manager would have the gall to berate his employee in front of customers. why would i bring my business to you?? I will come back only if my masseuse is working and i will only be going to him. i don't know how these places work compensation wise but employee treatment is overlooked often by customers for the sake of cheaper services and I felt like this business owner was not a decent human. It wasn't bad for the price. It was a little awkward because we got there, and the lady literally starting massaging our shoulders while we were picking out what service we wanted. Then, they brought us to a back room and we laid there for about 20 minutes before anyone came to start on us. In the mean time, someone was getting a massage on the other side of the wall, but in the same room as us (it was a dividing wall) and it was a little awkward. The massage itself was okay! My mom had been here on a previous visit and suggested we go again. Today we walked in, 3 of us, and the lady at the front asked what we'd like to do (seeing as they accept walk-in's; plus, they have happy hour between 10-11am! So we did the basic package.) the lady told me it would be about a 20 minute wait for one of us, so I told her I would wait. No problem. They had us lay in the communal room, with 4 beds, I believe. They got to work on my sister in law and mother, while I read the journal articles I needed for school this week. 40 minutes had passed and no one had updated or masseuse in sight. I was about to get up when someone came in and asked if I was ready. Ohkay, I thought. Here we go. When she started it seemed to be going pretty well, pressure was ok, no problems there. Then she got to going to work on my legs and feet. She disappeared for a little and came back and started massaging me with gloves on! I was kind of shocked. Usually, we look for that seamless hands on experience- but I had felt as though she was rubbing me raw with sandpaper on my legs and feet. I toughed it out, wishing the 30 minutes to go by faster. Then she came up to do the back and body massage. This is where she took her elbows into my spinal column, and slapped me around to the point where I felt like I was being punished for being there. Once we were done I couldn't run out of there fast enough. But my mother still hadn't paid. During the payment process the lady lectures me on how it was inappropriate that we did not have appointments and there are only a few masseuses there, making it seem like an absolute inconvenience to her. I didn't mind waiting. I was in no rush. But after that experience, I left more tense than I came in, and with a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm sorry, I don't suggest this place to anyone. read more

I'm a temporary transplant from Southern California where we are spoiled for choice for reflexology joints. Happy Foot does a great job, I'd put them right up there with the better places at home. It's clean, spacious, quiet, cheerfully decorated and the massage style is authentic if somewhat westernized. The therapists provide thoughtful touches like a cover for your eyes, making sure your ear doesn't get folded when they turn your head and hot towel for your feet. My boyfriend and I came here immediate after getting a couples massage across town at a more expensive massage parlor and although we only purchased the "basic" foot massage deal, we ended up with a much more thorough and beneficial massage here. We weren't put in a private room together but they weren't too crowded and we didn't have to remove our clothing (just our shoes) anyway and we still got a full massage. I have rheumatoid arthritis and the way she placed my arms to get into my shoulder blades left me almost completely relieved of most of my discomfort! I will be going back and ordering a bigger better package to see where that gets me. When I went here the business represented themselves bad already. I called the business before I went there to see if the student discount and the $5 coupon could be used together so I can know before I got there and the man that answered the phone told me yes. So when I got there I expected the price that the man told me over the phone was the set price, but this lady at the desk when I came in told me a different price so I questioned it and told them well an employee here told me on the phone told me the deals could be added together so after much debate of her asking 2 employees who told me this they approved me for the combined discounts. My massage was good but when it came to 10 minutes before my massage was over the lady that was at the front came into my massage room and said something to my masseuse in Chinese so when my masseuse came in she wrapped up my massage. So they shortened my massage bc I paid a discounted price. Then when I got out to tip my masseuse they lady tried to lecture me that I got their price wrong and it was my fault for thinking that.
