It's got great curb appeal with a bright blue sign and attractive script font scrolling across the front of this spot on Dundas making it difficult to miss. There's the requisite tent sign on the sidewalk highlighting foot massage (reflexology) as well as a couple being massaged (sounds fun!). More rich content visuals adorn the front of this place and the lobby is well lit with an oriental-looking backdrop of bamboo to give it a friendly organic look. There's also a giant "465" above the door so you know where you are, and I like this over-communication so there's no mistakes. Upon entering I was instantly greeted by a friendly person and when I asked about shiatsu massage she instantly said 60 minutes and I nodded, ok! After having previously tried 45 min and then 30 min, it seemed silly not to spend the extra $10 to level up the experience with the 60/60 deal. I was not disappointed with that decision! (Remember people chinatown is a cash-is-king place so don't get whiny about it) The rooms were tiny, omg. There was no way to fall over in here. I guess the tops of the rooms are open as I could easily hear other activity. The rooms are clean and nicely painted. My masseuse was a woman name Mia. As soon as I lay down on the table I could feel my feet against the wall and when I told her, there was no response, so I knew she didn't have much English. Good enough though, no problem with Hello and Turn Over, but rudimentary for sure. She was fantastic, and the most thorough and professional so far with some new moves added that I appreciated, like lifting my leg up and over bending me backwards which felt great. That didn't sound easy for her but she did it, and I appreciate it. This may be due to the 60 minutes, I'm not 100% sure. There was some cheesy instrumental music playing in the background, which could have been louder but overall a pleasant experience. Starting with my first experience with rmt with expert Angela (miss you!) I noticed that when a massage is done right, my head gets congested (light headed too) and I feel like I'm getting a cold temporarily. This likely takes a longer 90 minutes to achieve and get in the zone, but Mia got close to this in the 60 minutes that we had. Makes me wonder what she could do in 90 : )

I'm no expert but this was possibly shiatsu, although they told me this was Chinese massage, and it was different from the usual rmt in that they press on points as well as the usual moves. I was super happy with the service and value. Also the amount of effort she put into the job. I asked for 45 minutes which is $50 cash and seems a fairly standard price in Chinatown. The pace was much faster than I'm used to and it seemed that I almost got the usual 90 minutes worth in 45. Of course it's not the same, but quite impressive amount of work over the 45 minutes with no downtime or inefficiency. The room was small, clean and quiet, although I went in the evening when it wasn't busy. There was soft Chinese folk guitar twanging playing quietly in the room and the lighting was nice. The white disposable sheet on the table was great. I met two ladies when I went in, and it seemed like they were the only ones there. One was better at English. The one that massaged spoke only Chinese with rudimentary "ok" in English which was fine and I appreciated not wanting to talk. She ended up using the hot towels on my back which felt heavenly. I tipped $20 since that was all I had on my, but felt worth it compared to the usual $156 bill at the clinic with no tip. I'll be back and felt fantastic on the walk home and the next day.

After the soak and 10 Minutes in, came the constant interruptions of my masseuse, tending to other appointments coming in, making phone calls on her cell phone between touching me , talking to other patrons coming in. Did not hear or see the other masseuses cleaning their hands in a span of 5 seconds. Phone by my feet? Way to decompress hah. In the middle of my massage she asked if a male masseuse could replace me so she can tend to what it seem to b another appointment . I declined and then she proceeded to continue and then talk to a second appointment while being on her phone touching her cell phone and my feet. She then told the other man to undress and told him she would be there in 30 Minutes communicating from The other room. I got then moved To another room to complete my second half of the package and she left me there for another good long moment. She came back rushing,violently rubbing me quickly . Absolutely not peaceful at all. Then i said can you go Slower and she went softer. Then she got on the phone again speaking her language out loud massaging me With one hand . I asked her if she could take the call later she continued her call And ignored me and then she hung up and i asked her to stop. I decided to do the 30 minute foot reflexology with the 10 minute shoulder massage and then get the free 10 minutes added on to it. At the time I went, it was $40 total. The place was clean and the rooms were private. Seating area looked very nice. I really enjoyed my foot rub but I did find the shoulder massage was mediocre. I don't think the therapist was targeting the right spots. Perhaps getting one of the other staff might have been better. Other than that, it was a good price.

My first impression is that this is the most legit spa I've seen in Chinatown so far. Even their business card says "accept insurance" on it so someone there must have a RMT license and adhere to the rules enough to keep their license. The other thing that gave me a more elevated impression about Blue Sky is that they have some expensive looking gear in there. Not that I know what it's for but it looks impressive. Now that I've tried reflexology, I'm hooked on that and find it relaxing and a great way to get in the mood for a massage. It helps to be in the right mood for a massage to be effective. If it takes a half hour into the massage to get that way, then that's less time for the massage to do the most good. I had a smartly-dressed more mature woman named Lucy take care of me, and she told me to try and sleep or relax with the reflexology and turned the lights right down to pretty dark which was great and worked a treat. Since they tend to massage up your calves it's almost a good idea to take your pants off, or wear light sweatpants so they aren't fighting their way down during the reflexology. Next the massage and her technique was quite impressive. She wasn't a large person but amazingly strong and could boss my body around without a problem. I appreciated how she could grab a leg or other part and shake it like you sometimes want to shake sense into someone (but can't) and in this case my body needed some sense shaken into it, so wow I'll be considering Lucy as my go-to for the best value in Chinatown massage done right! I didn't see it on the sign in the room, but at the desk they listed a 90-min massage as an option, which would be awesome especially coupled with another 30-min of reflexology beforehand. Who does that! I've been going there for years and have given Vivian (an excellent foot masseuse) a generous tip... but this time I did not.... for 2 reasons: 1 - I arrived early to find front desk lady and Vivian right outside the front door both smoking. This was a shock and it is a disgusting habit, so during my 45 minute foot massage, I struggled with the idea of her hands on my feet right after she smoked. 2 - The front desk reception lady was rude, has been in the past, when I asked about the TV not working properly... she dismissed my request. Then it was her that called me after I left, asking for a bigger tip, but never asked me why such a small tip, then she said "never book Vivian again". I am very sensitive to smokers, others could be allergic, and it is a vile and bad health habit and should be kept private, and at least done outside their back door which I know other staff go to... I would never book Vivian again because of her unfortunate smoking habit then touching my feet or body, but mostly the front desk lady is rude, has an attitude, and I truly hope the owner reads this post and takes action to correct this staffing issue... There are other posts citing similar problem with her...all other staff have been nice over the years. I have shared this story with 4 other people that were clients at Warden, and they said they will not go back to this location. We found a few other decent places.

I had the worst and most disappointing massage experience at Comfort Zone Richmond Hill…read more I called the day before to book a Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) session, and the receptionist clearly confirmed a 7:15 PM appointment. When we arrived, they couldn't even find my name or appointment at first -- everything was written in a paper notebook with pen, which already showed how disorganized they are. After searching by my phone number, they finally "found" it and told us to go in. After the session, they charged us around $190 with tip and tax. When I asked for a receipt to submit to my insurance (as it was supposed to be an RMT session), they said: "You weren't booked for RMT." This was shocking because I specifically booked an RMT massage over the phone, and they confirmed it. Instead of taking responsibility for their own mistake, they simply denied it. Overall, this place is either extremely unorganized and poorly managed, or they are misleading customers intentionally. Either way, I will never return and do NOT recommend this place to anyone looking for a real RMT massage or professional service.
