Incredible selection of all things booze. Spirits, wine and beer. I live in Minnesota and come to Happy Harry's for their bourbon selection. Great staff that are always there to help. They have a great selection of local beers and even offer singles where you can make a customized six pack. Great sales too. They have massive sales on wine during Easter and Thanksgiving. A must stop for me when I want to round out that case or splurge on some of those high priced wines. read more

I experienced racial discrimination today at Happy Harry's on 45th in Fargo ND, while trying to buy wine for Thanksgiving Dinner. When asked for ID, I presented my Federal Tribal ID card, which I have always been proud to offer. The clerk said he can only accept it if I produced a birth certificate to go along with it. While explaining that our Tribal Id's come with holographic imprint, our social security number, birth date, full name, address, and tribal affiliation, the clerk raised his voice at me and barked "We are trained not to accept federal tribal id's!" Several nearby cashiers heard the commotion and chimed in agreement, loudly telling me and my girlfriend to leave. The manager, Sam, rushed toward me with unnecessary force and yelled, "You need to leave!" As a fellow local business owner I was surprised at the hostility Happy Harry's employees are allowed to display towards customers. I left humiliated, without the wine, that ironically, was for the holiday that celebrates Native Americans accepting the White Man, by offering dinner...probably with wine. read more

This is our "GO TO" liquor store! It's a huge warehouse of any alcohol you can imagine! They had LAKEGIRL wines on sale for $6.50 a bottle. They will make great prizes for my wine club get together! Their prices are higher than what I am used to but it's definitely a one stop shop! I'd recommend going there if you are in need of stocking up! read more

I seem to wind up here a lot. The place is always consistently great, with selection of every kind of boozy drink and even a cigar area I didn't notice before. I'm on a non-drinking streak, so I wasn't there as much this trip, but nice to see it was good as ever, though a bit disconcerting that the staff was unmasked during a Delta COVID-19 surge, but then again, North Dakota in general seems to be largely of the belief that it is not there...somehow. Happy Harry's is easily my most favorite thing about Fargo. Yes, the Fargo people are lovely quirky and yes there are some nice places to eat, and yes I might slightly have alcoholic tendencies, but without a doubt, I hands down freaking love this place. They have an excellent and impressive selection of every type of alcohol, the staff are super friendly and helpful if you ever need any expert advice on what to get, and the prices are great! Make sure to keep your eye out for their Penny Wine Sale that happens right after Thanksgiving and again in the spring time. They'll have a bunch of different types of wine highlighted for this sale, where if you buy a bottle, you can get a second bottle for a penny! Big barn full of wine, beer, liquor and cigars. Mixers too but who cares. Prices weren't bad. What more can you ask for during a weekend of debauchery? EXACTLY. The staff was friendly and abundant. This place was amped Up to be the liquor collectors dream...it's not. The bourbon selection is tiny compared to other stores and the selection is unexciting. If you are looking for wine, you can probably find about anything you want. But for a bourbon collector, it wasn't worth my time. read more

Happy Harry's has a great liquor selection overall, including beer, wine and the hard stuff - I often find newer releases here before most anywhere else. Talk show host Rick Emerson, from Oregon, once remarked "in Fargo, they have their liquor stores in giant barns!"; this definitely must have been what he had seen! Happy Harry's definitely has the best selection of beer and wine in the F-M area; the liquor selection is adequate, but Cash Wise Liquors in Moorhead actually does a better job. But anyway, the beer selection in particular is good for this area. The regional selection is good; while the number of microbreweries in ND is close to none, Minnesota beers are available here, as well as some of the more popular Wisconsin beers (no Spotted Cow, unfortunately). In addition, there are many other US microbrews, as well as some good German and Belgian beers. As all liquor stores should (but not all do), Happy Harry's has a mix-match beer special, so that's great. It's not the end-all be-all of liquor stores in F-M, but Happy Harry's is still a darn important one! If you like alcoholic beverages, stop here and check it out! read more

We went there and there is a great selection. The problem came when we went to check it out. We just came from a wedding and my buddies wife did not have her bag with her. Instead of informing that he would not be able to sell to us. He yanked the cart away from us and told us we should have left her in the car. We would have been fine being told nicely that he could not make the sale but instead he made a scene in front of the store and embarrassed all of us. I would not recommend this location because of the lack of customer service. read more

This place is all show and no go. If you're looking for eight different sizes of Mich Golden Light, they may be a good choice, but the amount of cold craft beer they offer is appalling. Prices are not that attractive either. I routinely travel here and call MPLS home. I've experienced Total Wine and our local fav, Haskells. Both blow this place away. This place was an oasis after a lonnng drive. I couldn't believe how many different kinds of beer they had, although I did chuckle at the sky-high stacks of Bud and Miller cases. I found a 22 of delicious Belgian ale as well as a wine I recently had in France. So basically, awesome. read more

The best liquor/beer/wine selection I have come across in my short time in Fargo. A lot of chilled selections too, which is always great. I caught some good deals on wine that they seemed to have in bulk and on Lambic beer - Lindenman's Pear flavor was half off.... which is always very pricy. I would like to test some of the workers knowledge to see what beer and wine they could recommend me that I haven't tried but I will save that for next time and update you all! I think this alcohol store is in a great location and they have good prices. There is a wide variety of beverages to choose from. I'm partial to girly drinks myself with the occasional shot, so it's nice to get everything I want from one store rather than having to get something because it's the only thing I'm willing to drink. Today I accidentally broke a bottle of Seagram's Escapes at check out and the employees' response amazed me. They immediately blocked off the area so no one would step on glass and they quickly started cleaning up my mess. They didn't make me pay for the broken bottle! They replaced it and said they do it all the time. I thought that was pretty cool, because I've always thought that if you break it, you buy it. I've had good experiences here in the past, and this is the icing on the cake :) read more

Ordered 2 kegs which was smooth. I went to pick up the kegs and they wouldnt honor my identical empty kegs on deposit. They wanted another $100 for deposit and they told me to drive to Minneapolis to get my deposit for the exchanges i brought in I recommend Bottle Barn or Bernies for keg needs read more
