I had a lot of girlfriends that had postpartum so I wanted to do anything I could to not get it with my first baby and this was one of those things to help. It might sound a little crazy but my placenta pills gave me energy when I was exhausted made me a happy mommy and I knew 100% that I was going to do it again with my second baby. Sarah is absolutely wonderful to have as a Bradley instructor! Without her class, I don't think we would have known what to expect during the labor process. I knew I wanted to have a natural birth and after interviewing many local instructors, I found Sarah to be the most passionate, resourceful, and caring. She even gave me recommendations for some OB's in the area depending on which hospital I wanted to give birth in while I interviewed her. Because my work travel schedule was so hectic, she offered to open up another Saturday class if she found one other couple interested and sure enough, because of how great she is, she found another interested couple and opened up the class! In the end we had 6 couples in the class and that was lots of fun! We all still meet up with our little ones every now and then. Aside of going through the course materials, Sarah also showed snippets, made sure we did our exercises and homework, and helped us with our meals to ensure we got in enough protein and other great nutrients in our daily diet. I think the greatest part about having Sarah as an instructor is the never-ending support that she gives to her students! Who will wake up and take calls from her students in the middle of the night and walk them throughout their ENTIRE labor process, at home AND at the hospital?! SARAH WILL! And SARAH did this for us! She was on the phone with my husband off and on between 1am all the way until sunrise and probably even after too since I lost track of time during labor. We knew we could trust Sarah with our first born and she definitely did a great job guiding us through it all, from what to expect during each labor phase to anticipating next steps and also answering questions we had about drugs and options as the on call OB was starting to talk us into speeding up the labor process. We completely trusted her expert advice because we were able to get through it and deliver a beautiful, healthy and happy baby, naturally! Sarah is amazing! Very knowledgable and always willing to help. Bradley Classes: Bradley classes are filled w/ boatloads of information and you really need an instructor who is going to make it engaging and entertaining. This is a very important part because if you have an instructor that bores you, it can become very easy for you to tune the information out causing you to miss out. Sarah was also very thorough and offered lots useful info that wasn't included in the workbooks. We were very informed and went into labor feeling confident in ourselves. Placenta Services: I received my placenta pills and smoothie the very next day delivered to my home. Placenta Smoothie worked very well for me. I was on one hour of sleep a day (no exaggeration) and the smoothie gave me a very noticeable jolt of energy. I don't know that I would've made it through those first couple days without it The combination of the smoothie and the pills help lessen postpartum bleeding significantly. Postpartum cramping was very little to none. Emotionally, I felt normal besides the lack of sleep. I would highly highly recommend Sarah. It is clear that she is passionate about her work. I had my placenta encapsulated for my first pregnancy to ward off post-partum depression. Sarah was prompt in picking up my placenta and got the capsules back to me quickly as well. I did not have PPD with my daughter, but also had nothing to compare it to because it was my only pregnancy. Then last summer I miscarried and was obviously unable to encapsulate my placenta. I had a really hard time with depression and anxiety when my hormones dropped, which indicated to me that the placenta pills were what had helped me through the hormonal drop I experienced following my first pregnancy. I was referred to Sarah from my Bradley instructor for placenta encapsulation and boy am I glad I was. Sarah was very helpful and prompt with everything from the first time I contacted her until after she finished encapsulating my placenta. Even after she was done she said I could contact her if I had any questions. She came to the hospital to pick up my placenta right when she said I would and it was a very easy process. My husband was able to take everything out to her and she had my placenta pills back to me at my home within 48 hours! I didn't have to do anything except communicate with her via text message. Sarah was truly wonderful. I met her at the annual Granola Babies expo. I signed up for the placenta encapsulation around 6 months pregnant. She was diligent about touching base with me up to my due date. I gave birth at 40w6d at Hoag Hospital. My husband texted her an hour after our baby was born and Sarah was at the hospital 2 hours later! She has the perfect personality to teach Bradley and is super knowledgeable about all things parent/child related. Her classes are centered around the Bradley workbook, yet she also encourages discussion and questions beyond the workbook. She brings videos and props to each class which really help you visualize and learn. She is hands on with all of the relaxation techniques and offers plenty of homework assignments for extra practice. We truly feel that Sarah is the reason we were such a great team during our labor and delivery. She really made sure that we were 100% prepared for any situation that would arise. My husband was a wonderfully prepared labor coach because and my labor was fast and intervention free. We really owe this to Sarah.
