They don't have anything on buffet. Such a waste of 30$ . Might try ordering off the menu. We won't be back !!!!!

Went there for lunch on Sunday 2/8/2026. The food selection was horrible. More American food than Asian. The windows were dirty. Only had beef and broccoli premade, if you want an orange chicken or General's chicken it was just fried chicken bites and then you had to pour the sauce on it. Happy House has decent food, but it really depends on when you go. It's actually better during peak times when everything is fresher and comes out hot. During slower hours, the quality can be hit or miss. Overall, an okay option if you time it right. read more

I hadn't been back to Happy House in almost a year but returned this past Friday with a date and was pleasantly surprised! The food was all fresh and plentiful. When it ran out, it was promptly refilled, the orange chicken was particularly tender. The cashew chicken was good. The waitress was friendly and prompt. We both enjoyed our meals and agreed we'll come back sooner! read more

Just keep driving. We went in and was told where to sit. The waitress and hostess had to have a conversation before we were address so we decided to get our soup. We each tasted the soup and it was disgusting I got the egg drop and it tasted like corn starch. My husband got the hot and sour he said that it was awefull. Tried this place for the first time. I was hesitant because of the reviews. Several friends really like the food here, so I thought let's give it a chance. We had the buffet so we could try several things. The buffet food was mediocre at best. Bland and barely warm. We did not eat very much. The desert section had a lot of choices and looked good, until you got close. There were fruit flies on everything. Last thing that happened was disconcerting. One of the workers was tidying up the buffet and there was a small piece of chicken on the edge of the counter. She literally picked it up with her bare fingers and tossed it back in the serving pan! Through with respect I give this Chinese buffet place to stars one because the waitress was very very nice and the second star because of fortune cookie at two fortunes in it! And that the food is really bland especially compared to the Chinese buffet in Essex Junction Vermont. Spareribs OK, that's about it. read more

Monett in general it becoming a disappointed in restaurants. Happy House was a one time experience for this out of town worker. It is sad when the best thing on the buffet is the sausage and fried potatoes. Will give them credit for friendly service, the people were nice, just disappointed with the food. read more

Good fresh food. The Springfield style cashew chicken was the bomb! The selection was a little small but everything tasted really good! The wait staff were friendly and apparently they also have a drive through. Next time we are coming through town- we'll be back. read more

My son and I ate here because we wanted some Chinese food! I rarely eat off a buffet and this place just reminds of why. The food was so old it was rubber, the green beans had been burnt, yet they still served them and then let them sit for hours. The hot and sour soup was disgusting and the fried noodles had been cooked what tasted like a 3 day stale. The noodles had an off taste, can't explain it but blah. When we sat down we ordered water but never seen it, we had straws but nothing to use them on. We never even seen a waitress until I went around the corner to use the dirty bathroom, there they where eating what was left on the buffet. Cashew chicken is a favorite of mine until tonight! I came home for a visit, and I ended up with a to go box of hair. There were FOUR 6 plus inch hairs in one of our to go boxes of cashew chicken. Find one, maybe it was your own in the mix... find the other??!! And my mom gagged and spit it back into the box! There is no cashew chicken in NC, now I'm just turned off and mad. Love it!!!! I eat here all the time. The rice noodles are so good. My favorite is cashew chicken. Service is really good. Reasonably priced all you can eat buffet and they have a drive thru. If you go through the drive thru their a la carte is very inexpensive. If you MUST order off the menu (which I do not recommend) the portions are huge, but you can eat half and box up the rest. I definitely recommend the buffet. They have little cozy tables for just a couple people or the banquet room if you have a large group. read more

Visited this place on about of state visit. I wish I took pictures of the buffet. Most of the food was empty or had been sitting long enough to have a hard ring around the heating dish. Food wasn't great but it was edible. Definitely priced way too high for what's offered. $40 for 4 people usually wouldn't seem bad but the quality is terrible. One star is even too much for this place. I barely ate half of my plate before I had to stop in fear of throwing up. My husband and oldest daughter both have food poisoning from here. The best part was when I was on the phone with a friend and said "My husband is so sick from eating at this place in Monett last night..." she cut me off and said "You didn't go to Happy House did you? Happy House is ok if you are looking for a veriety, although the food is not that great. They have pretty good fried chicken for a Chinese place. The other stuff is just meh. My favorite thing about Happy House Buffet is they have drive thru. Hahaha Drive-thru Buffet? Hahaha. read more

This is one of the worst places I have ever eaten. Everything is so greasy you get a coating of it in your mouth when you attempt to eat. The place is always packed. The only explanation can be it is cheap and the food is plentiful. I would go without eating before I would eat there again. read more

My cousin lives in a nearby small town and we visited on easter weekend. I live in Lees Summit MO a much larger town but loved this place. You people that live nearby should appreciate what you have. I especially loved the shrimp in some kind of white sauce. Maybe coconut ? I have never had this in Kansas City area was very unique and Delicious!!! read more
