Happy House Movers appeared to be the only company that actually read the details about my project and had a follow up question. So from the start, I felt like Happy House was being straightforward with me. They have a clear and simple pricing system and there were no hidden fees. The two gentlemen that came by to move my items were great. This was a bit of a different project than a lot of moves because I had already moved into my house and had my items in two POD storage containers in my driveway. They worked quickly and yet still handled my items with care. They even took the time to try to dismantle a dining room table that we were having trouble getting inside the door, but ultimately ended up finding a different solution instead. My only point of minor dissatisfaction (maybe minus 1/2 a star) is that they showed up an hour before their scheduled window, which caused some frenzy. Our movers were very professional and worked quickly and efficiently. They were careful to wrap our bookshelves and drawers in plastic, and used their own large blankets to cover our TV and computer monitors. They are mainly Chinese speaking, so there may be a language barrier, but it is not too much of a hassle to use Google Translate if needed. It took around 4 hours to move all of our things from an apartment in San Jose to Sunnyvale. Nothing was mixed up or damaged at all, and they didn't charge us excessive fees. Him and his partner moved everything quickly and efficiently. They are about 100 dollars an hour plus tip which isn't too bad (please keep in mind you are paying for convenience). In my personal opinion it was 100 percent worth it bc I have two 90 inch tvs that they helped unmount. They include wrapping on all fragile items. Requested service and was quoted they would arrive between 12-1:30pm on a Saturday...however come the actual time they kept on getting delayed due to the previous customer that day not having an elevator lift functioning so their actual arrival time was about 3:20pm. They were kind enough to drop the truck fee due to this delay, and the two movers were very quick and efficient in getting my 1 bed apartment all cleared out and settled to our new place within 2.5-3hrs total. They do wear shoes so be mindful that your rugs/carpets will be stepped on when moving. Otherwise we did appreciate the speedy packing, disassembling/reassembling bed and moving some big item furniture. Will likely reconsider them if moving again in the future due to the speedyness and and their hourly quote is most reasonable after some research. read more

The moving team arrived on time, and although I was a few minutes late returning with coffee, they were very friendly and understanding. Once they started packing and moving, everything was done quickly, efficiently, and with great care. The team clearly knew how to pack and load items safely and efficiently. They also assisted me in disposing of some old furniture, which was a big help. I noticed that, instead of taking the highway, they chose to drive on local roads to minimize any potential damage to my belongings by driving more slowly--something I really appreciated. I've hired Happy Movers twice! They're punctual and get things done! This last move was a bit bigger than my first and everything was moved efficiently and everything was moved with no damage. During the move we added more items and it was no issue at all. Our move was from a condo unit on the second floor so there were a lot of stairs, they were rock stars getting things moved in this situation. Happy house movers did a great job helping us with our move in Sunnyvale! The new apartment complex was only about 2-3 miles away from the old apartment complex but we still wanted to hire a moving company. We initially hired someone on Taskrabbit but they last minute cancelled so we researched and found Happy house on google. We called them and they were more than willing to take us on which we were very appreciative of since it was somewhat last minute (about 4 days before). They had lots of availability for Wednesday. We requested for two movers and to move out in the late afternoon/evening. We were also pick up some extra medium size boxes from their Fremont warehouse which was extremely helpful. On the day of the move, they requested to come a few hours earlier which was fine with us. Once the two movers came, they quickly packed all the remaining items and placed the boxes in the truck. At the new apartment, the movers brought all the boxes to our second floor apartment. The rate was: $105 an hour which includes 2 movers. $19 truck fee. Mover tips: $10 per hour per mover. 2 hrs minimum charge The whole move took about 4.5 hours total. Would recommend happy house movers! read more
