There were three people on the crew, but one of them only supervised and didn't help move anything. Even with three young movers, they struggled with heavy items. It took them nearly an hour just to carry a mattress down three flights of stairs because they had to stop and rest several times. After everything was packed, moving a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home still took 5.5 hours. They also damaged my child's wooden play kitchen by punching a hole in it, and they placed the mattress upside down with the sleeping surface facing the floor. On top of that, they pressured us to give a tip. Overall, I would not recommend this company. read more

This was a horrible experience with Hello Movers. Owen, driver/mover arrived 50 minutes late. His excuse was that he lives far away from my location. I don't understand why we had to make a reservation in advance. While we were moving, I advised Owen to keep the door close to prevent insects coming in, he replied "don't worry". (Really...) At the end, Owen provided us a wrong phone number for Zelle Payment. We are still currently working with our bank for the refund. Called the company to complain about Owen's mistake but they blamed us for it instead. They don't take ownship of the problem and had poor communicatiom about payment. Owen has a language barrier but the problem is him not the language. If you choose to use Hello Movers, I suggest you have everything in writing. read more

I scheduled a two item move with Hello Movers and was happy to pay their hourly rate and truck fee. However, they did not show up at scheduled time of 2 pm . They texted to say they would be here between 3-3:30, which was not a problem. At 3:30 I called them, they said it would be later so I called the office. They called the movers and then sent me a different phone number. When I called it the voicemail was not set up. The office called again to say it would be tomorrow instead. Very frustrating. Movers came 10 minutes earlier than scheduled time and informed us about their arrival. Without wasting any time they started moving items. Without taking any break or lunch time continuously worked, though we asked them to take their lunch break and we bought the movers lunch from McDonalds and sodas. Provided them water. On the day of the move, I texted all the information again, and the woman replied asking "for when?" even though everything had already been confirmed. That immediately made me anxious, but she reassured me they could come at 3pm. Then the delays started. She said the movers were running late and gave me the number of the crew, who only spoke Chinese. Every hour they pushed the time back again and again with no clarity. By 7pm, after four hours of constant delays and no accountability, I finally told them I was disappointed and would just move myself. There was no apology and no attempt to make things right. I honestly cannot trust a company that is this disorganized. Save yourself the stress and go with movers who are actually reliable and won't turn your moving day into an anxiety provoking experience. They are so fast and so friendly! I moved from a 1 bed on 1st floor to a 2nd floor apartment. The two of them were strong enough to get the heavy things up no problem! Took apart and rebuilt my dining room table. He even fixed a loose nail in my box spring out of kindness! In total for fully furnished apartment it was 3.5 hours.
