They handle the disassembly and reassembly of all furniture and pack everything very carefully. This was a horrible experience with Hello Movers. Owen, driver/mover arrived 50 minutes late. His excuse was that he lives far away from my location. I don't understand why we had to make a reservation in advance. While we were moving, I advised Owen to keep the door close to prevent insects coming in, he replied "don't worry". (Really...) At the end, Owen provided us a wrong phone number for Zelle Payment. We are still currently working with our bank for the refund. Called the company to complain about Owen's mistake but they blamed us for it instead. They don't take ownship of the problem and had poor communicatiom about payment. Owen has a language barrier but the problem is him not the language. If you choose to use Hello Movers, I suggest you have everything in writing. read more

Movers came 10 minutes earlier than scheduled time and informed us about their arrival. Without wasting any time they started moving items. Without taking any break or lunch time continuously worked, though we asked them to take their lunch break and we bought the movers lunch from McDonalds and sodas. Provided them water. The only issue was that they didn't speak or read the labels in English. But we managed the communication with translator capability. read more

I had a minor job request for them to take on where they basically would wrap a large 3pc sectional couch, carefully get it from my loft down an L-shaped stairway, through a tight front door opening and into a rented truck on the driveway. They arrived early, and went straight to work. Everything was handled with care and the two movers that came over were friendly and understood my ask. Their price was fair and several other reputable moving companies either turned down this quick job or wanted 2x the money. English augmented by my limited/out-of-practice Mandarin was enough to communicate today. I'd use Hello Movers again, perhaps to move me out of my house and into the next. read more

I had a really disappointing experience with this moving company. I called to get a quote and even confirmed the details the very next day. On the day of the move, I texted all the information again, and the woman replied asking "for when?" even though everything had already been confirmed. That immediately made me anxious, but she reassured me they could come at 3pm. Then the delays started. She said the movers were running late and gave me the number of the crew, who only spoke Chinese. Every hour they pushed the time back again and again with no clarity. By 7pm, after four hours of constant delays and no accountability, I finally told them I was disappointed and would just move myself. There was no apology and no attempt to make things right. I honestly cannot trust a company that is this disorganized. Save yourself the stress and go with movers who are actually reliable and won't turn your moving day into an anxiety provoking experience. I used hello movers for my long distance move from Alameda to San Diego. Service was all same day, the two movers came by in the morning, 7am to load up all boxes and furniture and then drove to San Diego where I was able to meet them. They unloaded all of my furniture and even asked me where I'd like heavier items placed. Service was friendly (even with a slight language barrier) and was way more cost friendly than other companies. Definitely recommend! read more

Did a really good job with my move. There were 3 persons, with 2 helping load and unload and a 3rd manning the truck. They arrived approximately on time but once they started packing they were super efficient and accommodating . They disassembled and re assembled all of the furniture as well. They are so fast and so friendly! I moved from a 1 bed on 1st floor to a 2nd floor apartment. The two of them were strong enough to get the heavy things up no problem! Took apart and rebuilt my dining room table. He even fixed a loose nail in my box spring out of kindness! In total for fully furnished apartment it was 3.5 hours. The language barrier wasn't an issue. They were early and pricing was good! So appreciative of their hard work, making my move easy. 10/10 recommend. read more
