    Jasmine Green Tea Milk Tea

The food (Bubble Waffle) was delicious. The service was great. This location is inside The Common Mall.

I have visited this spot a few times and can happily say that the drinks and food have been consistently satisfying, the space is clean, and the service is decent enough where you will get your order correct and they are professional. The drink orders come out pretty fast. As for the bubble waffles, they arrive not too long after. As for the ambiance, you will see their adorable mascot just being cute with the lemony color palette used in their furniture and decor. Glad Federal Way has a Happy Lemon! During my visit, they had a promo of posting a reel on Instagram or a Tiktok of their store with the correct tags and location, then get w free drink! Not bad!

Pros: clean location, ample parking, offers a fair amount of seating, offers everything you'd expect a Happy Lemon to have Cons: service was not good. It was very slow and unfriendly. Workers were very quiet and hard to hear above the music. They also seemed to have difficulty with eye contact (e.g. when we were at the register to order, the cashier did not look up so I couldn't tell if she was ready for us or not; the girl making waffles couldn't seem to look at me when trying to figure out which waffle was for my order) and none of them seemed to work together. The drink we got was a smoothie but was not blended well so it was full of ice crystals. I've had Happy Lemon smoothies before at other locations but did not have this issue. I just let it melt for a bit and it tasted better so that was it easy fix, but still a bummer The cons weren't huge deals but didn't leave a great impression so I do not plan to come back soon. If I was wandering around the mall the Happy Lemon was attached to, sure I may drop by, but wouldn't specifically seek out this location.

Taro Milk Tea (yuck!) and Roasted Milk Tea (good)
    Maggie L.

I've never been disappointed with drinks at Happy Lemon before, so I was surprised when the Taro Milk Tea with boba tasted so bad (overly sweet and the taro powder tasted artificial). I liked the Roasted milk tea (tastes like hojicha) much better. To be fair, I usually get something with Salted Cheese, but didn't feel like anything heavy. This location is inside The Commons, right near the entrance to Century theater.

So we came back to give it another chance , but I don't know what's wrong but it's like they don't listen or just don't pay attention at all . We mentioned so many times we don't want any ice because we didn't want it to water down by the time we drop it off to our destination . We won't be coming back anytime soon, but please owner or whoever is working there please make sure to pay attention to your customers need. Thanks.

Ohhh! This place is so good! Loved the Bubble Waffles and the Lemon drinks. Note: you can ask to lessen the sugar content. I didn't know till after I placed my order had I known that I would have told them.

My drink had great tea flavor and not too sweet. My hubby loved his oreo milk tea (no boba balls for him) and my kiddo LOVED her bubble waffle! I have been obsessed with trying all the boba places that have been popping up all over Federal way and this is no exception. Definitely one of my top favs!!

Strawberry shortcake smoothie w/lychee jelly $8.

Been here twice so far since my daughter loved their strawberry shortcake smoothie. But, she said their lychee jelly was little flavorless. My son didn't liked their milk tea bc it was too strong. The strawberry jasmine tea & bubble waffle was ok, will not order those again. We'll probably return to try other drinks.

So happy that there's a Happy Lemon FW location now! They're located right of Bath and Body Works (by Target). The trays are too big for the cups and they don't hold the drinks very well so it accidentally knocked over a couple of times in my car. I wished the drinks came with the mini yellow lemon caps like their Tukwila location. Cute interior decor and good drinks! They have a few seating areas for small groups. I went during grand opening week and they had BOGO deals on selected drinks. Ordered the milk tea with rock salt cream and original bubble waffle 5/5 recommend!

    Strawberry shortcake - my favorite!
    Cybil N.

Stopped by this location during their BOGO promo. So glad that they now have a Federal Way branch! No need to drive to Tukwila or Tacoma to get my strawberry shortcake fix. The strawberry shortcake was not included in their promo but I still bought it anyway. If you like Matcha, you should try their Avocado matcha smoothie! Although it may seem like a weird combo, it actually works!

Finally a happy lemon on the south end. I've been to multiple happy lemons before and everything they do are very consistent. Came here for their grand opening and they were offering bogo specials on select drinks. I ordered both their milk tea and strawberry green tea. The drinks took a while to come out but it's understandable since they're just starting out. This place is located at the Commons mall right by Baskin Robin's. Really love how they decorated the place. So stoked there's a happy lemon in Federal Way now! Will have to come here more often!

Tea is diluted not strong enough. Tapioca ball is too soggy over cooked. The one in south center is the best. More consistent

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #115…read more This is one of three Sunright Tea Studio locations in King County and is by far the largest in terms of size. It's the only one that has actual seating and tables, which makes it a much better location to relax in and slowly sip on drinks. We visited on the way down to Portland, hoping to get a caffeine pick-me-up before the long rush-hour fueled traffic on the way down. This location has two kiosks for easy ordering, although in less busy times, the bobaristas are happy to take orders and answer questions. Fragrant really condensed milk and extra cane sugar for sweetness. Slight fruit essence. regular ice on a hot day almost all gone within five minutes. About 3:1 ratio tea to milk Boba great soft yet really chewy and bouncy. Compresses soft layer on outside. Fragrant Oolong Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Regular Ice, House Milk w/ Brown Sugar Boba ($7.25) - As the name implies, this drink really is quite fragrant, with the somewhat fruity and floral taste that is similar to an osmanthus oolong. It's rich from the addition of condensed milk - in fact, this drink seems to have more dairy in it compared to most boba shops. Watching the bobarista assemble the drink, I saw perhaps a third of the cup filled with milk and condensed milk before adding the tea. I ordered the drink with regular ice and it wasn't nearly enough to survive the hot day - within 5 minutes of pulling out, all the ice was gone. The boba is great. It's soft yet really chewy and bouncy. There's a compressible soft layer right on top that's pleasing on the tongue. Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 This Sunright Tea Studio is consistent with the other two locations in the county, serving some really great drinks. I don't come down to Federal Way often, but this would be my choice for boba for any future trips that far down south. Bathrooms - Single unisex room

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #117…read more We visited Onit Cafe on a rainy Saturday afternoon in June, hoping to score an after lunch boba. Sprinting through the downpour, as we hadn't expected the rain, we threw ourselves into this modern, yet industrial shop, where we saw a couple of people sitting inside like us to wait out the rain. We placed our order with the friendly bobarista and got our drink within a couple of minutes. Jasmine Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.75) - The milk tea has a heavy powdery creamer flavor, but it's not gritty or silty at all. Unfortunately it's so heavy that the drink tastes almost entirely like creamer with only a tiny bit of flowery finish. It's not the most pleasant flavor due to this quality. While the creamer is on the heavier end, the sweetness is not; at half sweet it's not too sweet. The boba is very good, super bouncy and chewy with basically the ideal texture. They aren't marinated that long so aren't quite that sweet or flavorful. Milk Tea Rating: 3/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 Onit Cafe is one of those rare places where I liked the boba far more than the drink. I don't visit Federal Way too often, but if I'm even down there again, I'd give it another shot to see if I can get a better drink next time. I've been to other OBC locations in Seattle and Woodinville…read more However, this location made me question their food safety practices. Firstly, the inside was clean and welcoming. There was one employee working, but it did not look very busy inside. We ordered 4 dubai chewy cookies, 1 taro croffle, 1 small galaxy ade, and 1 large taro/oreo smoothie. Our total came out to around $60. Dubai chewy cookies were very tasty, I am a huge fan of dubai chocolates. My galaxy ade tasted very watered down, barely any grape flavor, and little to none carbonation. The taro/oreo smoothie was decent. The basque cheescake was flavorful. The taro croffle was actually very good, better compared to the other locations. My main concern was the fact that I found some sort of hair in my croffle. We had already eaten some of the croffle and we brought it up to the employee. He told us it is a sugar strand and showed us an example. Yet, when I pulled the strand out of the croffle, it was more attached to the taro cream and it had no similar texture to the sugar strand. The sugar strand should melt and break easily but this strand did not, it was also more like a white-ish color. I'm thinking it was maybe a pet hair. The employee was very friendly about it and made us a new croffle free of charge.
