    Bubble Milk Tea
    Nancy N.

First time trying this spot in Tukwila. I got the regular black milk tea with boba. To start off the milk tea is ok to me nothing special stood out. It's not bad either, what I can say the best part is the boba. The chewiness is perfect and it has a nice sweet taste to it. That's what stood out the most to me and make me want sip more each time. So I give that to them, I would come back to try other drinks like the brew tea. The atmosphere is great really clean inside and the greeting is great. Customer service is nice as well.

This is my favorite place to get milk tea. Always greeted with a friendly welcome whenever we come in, and the staff is so kind. They even greet customers with samples of their fruit tea, which is such a nice touch. I love that they brew each drink fresh to order using real tea leaves -- you can really taste the difference. My favorite drinks are from their taro series, especially because you can order a drink with either taro balls or taro paste. The shop itself is very clean and aesthetically pleasing, with plenty of seating. I've even come here to work on school assignments since they have Wi-Fi available. I also appreciate being able to adjust the sweetness and ice levels to my preference. It's definitely on the pricier side, but it's worth it for the quality

I'm super happy they added a tukwila location. Their teas are great quality and the store is spacious and clean. Servers are nice, and they usually have a sample tea to try. I got the cassia black tea with mousse this time around. I meant to get a milk tea, but I didn't pay attention. Either case, the black tea was great and mousse complements it well.

First time trying Chicha and I absolutely loved it! The tea was amazing- honestly couldn't have asked for better flavors. The boba was also perfect: soft, chewy, and just the right texture. This might officially be my new go-to boba chain!

Chicha San Chen never disappoints! I'm so glad there's a tukwila location. The service was great from start to finish, and you can really tell they take pride in the quality of their tea. The boba was perfectly cooked soft, chewy, and fresh and the drinks themselves were super smooth and flavorful. Everything tastes really intentional, not overly sweet, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. There can be a bit of a wait, but it's honestly worth it every time. The inside is minimalistic and so cute. Definitely a go-to spot when I'm craving good boba. I'll for sure be back!

We have visited the Bellevue location many times, and were excited to try the Tukwila location. We were greeted at the counter with a tiny complimentary tasting of one of the drinks. After much deliberation, we went with a fruit tea (osmanthus mango + coconut jelly, light ice) and a tea latte (honey dong ding oolong tea + bubbles, hot). Both were very nice. One cool, fruity and refreshing. The other warm, comforting and smooth. The interior is spacious, but has limited seating. It was empty when we came in the early afternoon on a Tuesday. We would love to stop by again! Love how patient and efficient the staff were. And the interior design is very nice.

I'll rave about CHICHA all day. Ever since their Bellevue location opened up in Washington, I've been more picky about tea (especially across boba spots and cafes) because no one does it quite like CHICHA. The tea is pricey and a smaller volume, but all their tea is rich and flavorful. I'm a fan of the Tukwila shop but dislike how far away it is because Tukwila is so south! The store is more akin to CHICHA across other states, in their own building rather than in a mall (even the old Bellevue location before they moved, felt lacking). Lovely service, the staff are extra friendly here. Osmanthus Oolong Tea w/ Boba - while I typically prefer milk in boba drinks, I'm starting to open up at CHICHA because their teas are wonderful and don't need the added creaminess from milk. Light, yet potent, aromatic, and smooth, this one is a favorite from my partner and I because it's refreshing and naturally sweetened with the osmanthus flowers. Honey Osmanthus Oolong Tea w/ Boba - for those of us with a sweet tooth, this is a favorable option to the original teas. Had to avoid saying "simple teas" because they're crafted and brewed masterfully. Adding honey is so simple, yet they integrate it well into the teas with their brewing methods. Refreshing while satisfying that sweet tooth.

Chicha San Chen bubble tea are always amazing! I've been to Bellevue location multiple times but this was first time at Tukwila. Service was great but a little slow here. Still worth waiting for! Will be back again.

We were pretty disappointed with our visit today. When we walked in, it was busy but not unusually crowded. Still, it took almost an hour (50+ minutes) to receive our drinks. What made it more frustrating was seeing all the people who arrived after us get their drinks WAY before we did. We ordered four drinks -- two of one kind and two of another. After about 45 minutes, we realized we were the only customers left from the group that arrived around the same time. To make things worse, three of our four drinks were made and left sitting out for at least 15 minutes while we waited on the last one. We eventually went up to ask, and were told they were still waiting on the final drink, but it still took another 20 minutes. By then, the ice had melted and the flavor was watered down. We were watching our order be skipped over and over and over again, and seeing the cup not be touched at all. The taro balls are always great, but the service and wait time this visit were really disappointing.

I was so excited they decided to expand and open a location in Tukwila! So close to my house. So dangerous. I love how it's near Southcenter mall, so it has ample amount of parking. During the cold season, this location luckily doesn't have much of a line as in the summer. I really like how you can taste the tea in the drinks you order and the toppings also are delightful as well always. The only thing I dislike about this chain is that you cannot customize your drinks; except for toppings, level of sweetness and ice level, nothing else can be changed. But other than that, drinks always tasted good here. Would recommend. Oh, but this place strictly only has tea, no smoothies! So if you're wanting to order similar to that, do not come here.

Service: 5/5 Attentive and friendly service! They gave us a sample of their daily drink which helped us make a decision (and allowed us to try a different tea). The time it takes to get your drink can take anywhere from 10-15 minutes depending how busy the store is. Each drink seems to be freshly brewed. Drink: 5/5 Flavors are amazing! I got the high mountain orange drink and it's so refreshing! Perfect balance of sweet and the boba has great texture! Highly recommend this one if you're not a milk tea person. If you are a milk tea person, try the dong ding milk tea, it's delicious too!

Went here with a friend after they said they really want to stop by. I like boba so I thought why not. I had never been to this boba shop before and my friend told me the one in Bellevue is really popular, so I came in with high expectations. I noticed how clean the inside looked, which is hard to do when the majority of the place is white. When we got to the register we were given a sample of a seasonal flavor. It was so good that I decided to get it! We both wanted boba, and were properly informed before the purchase that they had to make more which would take a little bit of time. I appreciated the warning ahead of time. The drinks were well made and were true to the sweetness level and ice level requested. The menu had quite a bit of options so I'm eager to return and try what else they have! A good boba spot all in all!

Honey milk with Sakura Konjac (left) and another really delicious one I forgot
    Laura G.

They have a lot of drink options, I forgot which base tea I got- but their Sakura Konjac with honey milk and light sugar is SO GOOD. The layout and decor is beautiful as well. Staff is friendly, but does not call out names, which I actually like. You can guess which drink is yours and ask for help if needed.

Some pros: huge menu including those fun and yummy bubble donut thingees, which come out piping hot. Some cons: untidy dining area and lackadaisical staff. I often wonder, tho, if the staff at some places just treat people differently if, like me, they are a bit clueless about bubble tea lol. Grace for the dirty dining area would be that the staff was all by themselves and probably with steady customers to prepare orders for. Would be hard to get out front. Ordered the green tea lychee w/ boba and the "exfreeze" coconut milk w/ coffee. Both were tasty and hit the spot on a hot day.

I went here with my mom on a Sunday afternoon while shopping in Southcenter and decided to get some of their drinks to go with our tater tots we got from nearby Undercover Fries (which I'm not sure if they have a Yelp page). Ambience is very casual, with plenty of seating. Nothing to say of service since I only ordered at the kiosk closest to the entrance. I got their passion fruit & lemon green tea, and my mom got their peach green tea, both at 70% sweetness and ice levels. We both ended up tossing our drinks after having about half of it for similar reasons, the biggest one being that the drinks didn't taste at all fresh. They were also watered down to the point where we weren't sure if we got 70% sugar as I saw on the kiosk or 25% sugar. I've been here several times before and have tried their bubble waffles and other milk tea drinks, so this review on its own isn't an accurate representation of my experiences overall. But for this one visit, I wanted to get the mango desserts from Hui Lau Shan again at Southcenter... those who know what this place used to be will know what I mean.

This was on a Friday night around 7:30pm, and my group of 5 came here to get some balls inside us... or more like just satisfy our sweet tooths. For this visit, I decided to get one of their signature smoothies: cuddles on the beach. It's a blend of strawberry, peach and mango, and comes with a bunch of peach bits. This whole drink was really sweet - there were options to change levels of sweetness that I did not see carefully that would have made my rink better. Probably if I had gotten it much less sweet - if that is possible for the cuddles on the beach - it would be much better. Peach bits were one of my favorite parts of the drink, as I could easily suck them through my straw like balls haha. I'd go as far as to say this drink went past the cuddles and went all the way... :P It was fun striking a conversation with my server up front when she asked me and friends about our day, and that made this visit a lot better. That's kinda the feel of this place especially when it gets late at night, because there's a lot of people that come inside and fill the tables. As for my group of six, we definitely contributed to the already loud noises of people talking and blenders blazing to make drinks. This place wouldn't really be my go-to for drinks in general, even though it does open much later than most other places serving boba, but they have a ton of interestingly named drinks that I'd try when I want a late-night boba call :PP

Back then I would have rated it between 3 1/2 to 4 because the taste was great. Now it's just plain, watered down and pricey. The way they made the Thai tea milky boba that my cousin ordered was not good at all. She made me taste it and we agreed on a lot of things. For $6.59 we are expecting the price will match the taste. One thing for sure is that it tasted like plain water with just added milk. She went ahead and asked if there is anything they can do to make it taste less watery. What they did is just added more milk which just change the color lighter and still taste like water with milk mixed together (Thai tea taste is no longer there). The avocado smoothie was also disappointing because it doesn't even taste like how avocado smoothie should taste like (again taste like watered down drink) :( . I don't know if they are just not adding enough ingredients or they just don't know what it really taste like. The pearls was also hard like it was not made fresh the same day. It taste as if you just put it in the refrigerator for many days and kept reusing. Unlike other location they make their boba every four hour or so to have the fresh consistency. Also , when my cousin and aunty approached them about the issue. They didn't even tell them to remake it or anything it's more of a FYI letting them know that this is what's going on and shared their experience about the drink. They just wanted to make sure , the next customer will have a better experience. The worker or probably the owner just said that's just how the boba should be because it was shaken together with the cold drink. . I know for sure that the pearl/boba doesn't suddenly turn hard rock because it was mixed in with the cold drink. We have made them fresh at home before and they are suppose to be soft and chewy , not hard and disgusting when eating it . I'm afraid they have lost not just one loyal custome, but a lot more .
