I have a monthly massage membership where I get a reduced price of some services and I can gift a month if I want. So I gifted my Mays services for my daughter to get a wedding facial and paid the extra fee in cash when setting up the upgrade in person so she wouldnt have to pay anything except give the tip I gave her to give. This was a gift. But instead she was charged full price which is more than what I pay as a member and the upgrade fee. The manager Arianna argued with me endlessly saying nothing was noted under my account and treated me as if I was lying unless I find my receipt. I hope I do. WTH!! NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER.

Tara made me feel so comfortable, like we had known each other for years. She is an independent business owner with a ton of experience. She kept me happily engaged while she waxed me, and it did not feel nearly as bad as I was expecting it to! Honestly, it only stung for a second or two, and less than an upper lip wax, but if you psych yourself out, your first wax can be almost pain free, and then it just gets easier from there!! The private room was very calming and relaxing while having my facial and I felt very relaxed when I left. Negatives: the facial itself didn't yield any results for me. I had a hydrafacial, with my main areas of concern being hydration and to help with the signs of aging. Unfortunately neither occurred. My face was smoother and brighter for maybe 2 days afterwards but it was also very tight and dry. The fine lines around my eyes and mouth were more pronounced and noticeable than they were before. I did see a temporary reduction in blackheads around my nose, but less than a week later, my skin was back to being dry, dull and flaky like it was before. UPDATE: Two weeks later and my skin is breaking out like crazy and peeling in some places. I have texture where I didn't have it before. It looks worse than before I went. I'm disappointed that I didn't see any positive results and angry because of the breakouts and other adverse side effects. I will NOT go back again.

Please do not go expecting what you would find at the larger, fancy chains. Those are nice on occasion, don't get me wrong. It's in a cute, little white house on a side street in Bel Air, away from all the big stores and traffic. The spa is on the second level and as you are going up the stairs you can hear slow, relaxing music playing. I love that the setting for this spa is in a house because it makes it feel much more homey and relaxing. The "trendy" spas seem too busy with people rushing around and I can't fully relax. The atmosphere here is very calm and soothing and definitely made my massage more enjoyable. Roseanne was my masseuse and she was very friendly. While I was filling out the initial visit form, she introduced herself and offered me a cup of water. She took me to the room and we talked about what areas I would like her to focus on and then she stepped out so I could get undressed. The next hour was completely wonderful and relaxing. Roseanne concentrated on my upper back and lightly touched upon other areas, just as I requested. After the hour was over, Roseanne left the room and I got dressed and met her back in the main waiting room where she gave me another cup of water. We chit chatted for a few minutes and then I left and felt so rejuvenated. I would definitely return for another massage :)

Regardless of how a customer books, the quality of service should remain consistent. My nail tech (one of the men in the salon) didn't talk to me much or necessarily ask me what I wanted (nail shape, cuticles cut, etc) but I'm honestly not picky and will speak up if I have specifications. If you're someone who cares more or would prefer a more proactive approach, this might be a problem. He was gentle yet thorough-- didn't scrub or exfoliate my life away but removed everything that needed to be removed. Wish they were a bit more friendly but otherwise, excellent pedicure at just the time I needed it in a clean and sanitary environment. I'd return when I'm in the area!
