I always go to Happy Nails Bar and Steven always does my nails. I'm very happy with the service I get when I'm there. I've read some of the bad reviews. I think that nail salons are like hair salons...I would never go into a random hair salon and let just anyone do my hair. If you care enough to read reviews you should care enough to request someone that has been recommended. If you don't mind a random person doing your nails there's a high probability you will get a less experienced tech. If you leave the salon and write a bad review, shame on you. They've missed a learning opportunity and the owner finds out through an online review that something was wrong. Say something when you're there.. give them a chance to make it right before you shame them online!! read more

I walked in with no appointment Sunday around 1pm, got in immediately for a gel pedicure. They removed my old gel and were very gentle. Completely cleaned up my feet: cuticles, callous remover gel, pumice scrub for dead/rough skin, sugar scrub for feet and calves, hot towel wrap. Listened to exactly how I wanted my toe nails shaped. Didn't want them cut, just filed down a bit. He made sure there was no polish in my cuticles which is a huge factor for me. All this for $30, plus and extra $15 because I got Gel and removal of old gel. Great price for the quality and work done. Maybe took an hour. This will be my new spot! read more

There was not enough staff to accommodate this, so instead of just saying no or saying it would be a couple hours they basically did us one by one and still took 3 hours. The last one of us stood waiting for 30 minutes after we were done to start. The vibe of the salon was low energy to say the least. I would not consider them exactly friendly, but not completely rude. At one time I knew they were talking about us but could not understand what they were saying. Honestly would not recommend to my worst enemy. I have been going here for years this time turned me off from Happy Nail Bar completely because of the treatment my friend and I received. Specifically Cathy, I know she isn't a nice person in general from the many times I have been here in the past and the amount of people that have told me to avoid her... but yanking my arm and glaring at me because my hand wasn't in the position good enough for her could have been avoided by simply asking me to move my arm. This whole experience my friend and I felt like we were in trouble for getting our nails done from the way we were looked at, spoken to, and just treated in general. They were so rough my fingers are literally in pain and they were awful at shaping. I had to re file my nails in the car. They also flooded my cuticles and the sides and did a sloppy paint job. I left there bleeding. Wouldn't recommend. Oh and I got my nails sports length and apparently that's long so they charge you 5 extra. Update: OWWW my freaking fingers hurt wtf!!!! I just had to take ibuprofen to help the pain they actually are causing me so much pain I can't sleep. I'm not looking forward to how sore they will be in the am. Well...my wife and I both had a pedicure this last Saturday. I recall the nail technician Kathy cutting the cuticle on my right big toe very short. Three days later my big toe is infected and I will require antibiotics as this has happened before to me at another salons. I took my daughter for her first set of nails, she has asked for years to get them done, and for her birthday, I agreed. Upon entry they told her she shouldn't get acrylic, but dip. We declined. They refused for 15 mins. I said, "should we go somewhere else?" They said no and began her nails. Finally we agreed they could do the dip. They didn't speak to my daughter the entire time. Finally asked me about length, I asked if they could make them shorter, they said "no". I gave up. Her nails are not smooth, crooked, misshaped. They charged $70 for this despite the menus being significantly less. I got a pedicure. 2 hours post and it's chipped. There is still hell polish on my foot and leg. The foot pumice they used was disgusting and worn through, the brush was repulsive. Insistent I give tip, and the only time I my life I've declined. Terrible experience and even worse quality. I love this place. Everyone is friendly and they do an amazing job. I especially love Loi (younger gentleman with glasses)--he always makes sure to make each nail perfect and is never rushed. I just left the nail salon and got in to the grocery store. This is a gel manicure. My nail technician was extremely rude and spoke to her coworkers the whole time. She was very pushy about the pedicure package and asked me multiple times to buy the $45 package, after politely telling her not today. I made an appointment online, got there about 5 minutes before the guy that "greeted" me, wouldn't get off his phone and just pointed to the self service check in. He then sat me down, and the station still had nail clipping and used items all around it. After he put the nails on me he told me someone else was going to do my nails bc he was yelling at someone behind me the whole time. I sat there for 5 minutes before he came back (after he sateted working on someone else nails that came in after me) to file and shape my nails, I asked for coffen shape, he gave me square and didn't ask me about the length. Then he walked away. After a couple minutes he told me to move setts because a women was going to work on my nails. He station was just as bad. She was rough and cut my fingers, I kept saying she was hurting me but I was told that I was being a baby. I asked for the 3d cats eye polish, they put that on, but she couldn't be bothered to complete the job, and now my nails look like trash and are dark red glitter not the look at all. She was pushing me out the door. But when I went to pay, she TOLD ME to tip her! That I had to tip her. And she was already sitting someone in the set I was just at without cleaning I wouldn't go back. I have to go some place else to fix my nails now. Wast of money and time. If I could give a no star review I would. I went in for a regular fill and was left having to go home to fix it myself. The woman doing my nails literally filed the skin around my nail bed off. I told her that it burned and was sensitive but she just kept filing away. A few days later at work I began to notice that the polish just wiped off AND it was gel polish. I have never had that happen. I know mistakes happen, but with the service and the longevity of manicure, I wouldn't recommend giving them a penny out of your wallet. read more

This is the absolute WORST nail salon I have ever been to. I am visiting my family here and we decided to get our nails done and when we walked in we felt incredibly uncomfortable (but none of the other salons around here seem to get great reviews). We were asked roughly 8-9 times what it was we wanted after explicitly explaining it and writing it down. I only wanted a pedicure and the woman who was doing my pedicure was talking on the phone the entire time and during the middle of it she asked me "is it okay if I talk on the phone?" ....well you are just now going to ask me?.... Prices are cheap and it shows why. The service is garbage. Here today for a little pampering before the "after" Christmas party tonight. I generally do not get manicures because they don't last because of the constant hand washing that is done at my job and pretty much every where else. I went in just to get a standard pedicure @ $25. Instead I chose the deluxe for only $5 more. I'm glad I did because it felt sooo good! My pedicurist was Loi, who was very professional and proficient at his job. The deluxe includes a variety of lotions, scrubs and hot stones that were massage into my tired lower legs and feet. Totally worth the $5 upgrade! They offered me something to drink upon sitting in the pedicure chair, that is equipped with a built in massage. Most of the nail places have this. The establishment was very clean, they use sterile individual sets of clippers and cuticle pushers. They offer a variety of services including facials, which most nail places do not offer. It's not bad, but it's not good. I have been here 5 or 6 times now simply because it's close and convenient. I do not ask for anything fancy because I don't think they are qualified enough for it. They all are pretty stand off-ish and sometimes blatantly rude. The facility seems well worn. It's not "dirty" but I think it does need a good scrub down. For the service and quality, they are overpriced. They are pushy to upgrade pedicures and pushy to do dip instead of acrylic or regular polish. It's exhausting arguing so I see many people just give in. I will still go when I want just a super simple pedicure or manicure. I have posted my PSA Health Hazzard Warning. Since then, I'm getting numerous other reports from others saying the same thing. They're not sterilizing their equipment in between clients and others have gotten sick. Please, if you still go there to get any service, make sure you're getting sterilized tools. Also, they do waxing as well and they are,"Double Dipping", so to speak. When waxing, each time they dip the disposable wooden stick (like a doctors tongue depressor), they are supposed to throw them away after one dip. Then grab another one to do the next part. Well they don't do that either. There's so many health hazzards here! I'm surprised the Health Department hasn't made a visit. read more
