I no longer go to Queen Nails. The owner, my tech, was away the last 2 times and the young lady cut my cuticles till they bled, despite my protests to stop. She just giggled and continued. I decided to try Glitz and Glam, and have been a loyal customer to Peter. His wife does my waxing and from the start when i told her i break out from the hit wax, she has used wax for sensitive skin. The first time Peter removed my dipping powder nails after I'd been to Queen, he said my fingers were red and itchy bc the girl had used acrylic! I told the girls every time that I couldn't wear acrylic - my fingers crack and bleed and itch. Although I drive a little farther, it is so worth the trip. The salon is large, airy, and new in appearance. One problem: I have asked Peter not to take a vape break out back when working on me bc I am allergic to the tar, however during my pedi he usually runs out for a quick smoke, so he smells of tobacco. I've been 3 times. Each time all except the male have delegated doing my nails despite having an appointment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon returning my 3rd time for a quick nail repair I was not greeted, addressed, or helped despite a staff member being directly in front of me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]After saying hello several times I was treated poorly and met with a "Can I help you" dismissively.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I explained what I needed then was told to come back later without second thought. While the ladies were nice, my manicure was super rushed. It was done in less than 15 minutes. The polish started chipping off the very next day (even though I was being super careful). Prices for services are decent, but nail art is another story. I spent more on that than the manicures themselves for my daughter and her friend. I struggled as to if I should leave this review since they seemed so nice and really tried to ensure we left satisfied, but for $80+, I'd expect the polish to last more than a couple days. My Nail salon was booked and J was near the St. Augustine area so I decided to give this place a try. Everything seemed brand new and it wasn't over crowded. I had the feeling vibe that it was more relaxing and comfortable as it was not too busy. The decor was so cute and chic. Everything was organized and clean. Didn't have an appointment but did a walk in. Staff was very accommodating and kind. I just got a pedicure and the nail tech took her time and was very gentle with my feet. I went to Queen Nails for a full set, with gel polish. Unfortunately, I did not get the name of my nail tech but she was awesome!! I told her I wanted spring inspired nails, with little flowers, she asked if I wanted to try the no background nail style and showed me an example picture. We went with it and I love the results! I was there for over an hour and was very comfortable the entire time. If I lived in St Augustine I would be a regular at Queen Nails. Next time I am on the road I will certainly stop by! Appointments are NOT honored!! HOT SWEAT FEST-beware... Last Sunday, I made two appointments. A pedicure for my daughter who went to prom and a mini mani/pedi for my 6 year old niece's birthday. My niece had never had a mani/pedi before. The appointments were made online and in advance the day before. When we arrived, the girls were excited, only to find out that we would have to wait 45-55 mins!!! There were 6 girls working and nobody was available:( I told them that I made an appointment. They looked to check on their computer. I told them that we shouldn't have to wait a long time. I was respectful and nice about it, but upset. They didn't care AT ALL. 45 minutes later, they started the pedicure on my teenager and the 6 year old had to wait longer-55 minutes total. AND there was no A/C! No apology and they wasted our time on a special girls day together. I wish I could give this place negative stars read more

We made an appointment for two people. You make an appointment so you don't have to wait. They must have taken walk-in's so our appointments no longer were available. We waited but after 15 minutes left. Every technician had a way to go before they finished and there are way too many salons around to be bothered with this. I would not recommend this place. read more
