I was happy with my manicure today done by Leo. The owners were very nice and welcoming. My nails look great and you can't beat $10 for a manicure. Not fancy, but cheery inside. They do the latest types of manicures and pedicures. They take appointments and also take credit cards for purchases of $15 or more. read more

Terrible dip manicure. Manager started arguing with me that I didn't want the shape nails that I said I did. Had to have her refile 4 times and filed my own mails after I got home. Left color dip all over my fingertips. She told me to go home and take a nail brush to get it off. Just wanted a relaxing manicure and it was anything but that. read more

I have never posted a review but this was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon! The woman doing my pedicure did not speak English so I guess she didn't understand when I said not to cut. She literally cut them to the point that they hurt badly. Then, the next woman pushed and pressured for me to try the "dip" for my manicure. not only does it look awful (white tips are actual bumps) but it was actually only a polish change! Charged me $45! I asked her to do my cuticles and she said they didn't need it! All she did was remove polish! Not even a drop of lotion applied! AWFUL!!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!! read more

I tried Happy Nails based on a friend's recommendation last month. I was so pleased with my gel nail refill that I went back a second time. I was lucky enough to have Leo do my nails. He listened to me when I told him the problems I've had in the past and how I prefer my nails to look. He didn't rush and took his time to make them look perfect. I have already scheduled my next appointment at Happy Nails for two weeks from now and I will continue to do so. I'm so glad I tried this little gem of a salon on Ventnor Avenue in Margate, NJ! Prices are low but you get what you pay for. They hurry you in and out of there so the work is sloppy and they don't pay much attention to what they're doing. There is a short hand massage but I'm reluctant to even call it a massage. Work is sloppy, had to go back to get it redone because it chipped the next day. Owner was quick to replace no questions asked. Gave two stars because owner fixed mistake and the prices are good. read more

Horrible! My daughter and daughter-in-law just returned and told me how awful it was. They cut my daughter-in-law's cuticle and made it bleed. My daughter asked them to cut her nails. They cut them so low that she was in pain when the girl was filing her nails and still in pain when she came home. read more

Awful! The technician rushed like she had somewhere to be. I had to keep showing her where she was missing polish and I still came home to find my nails not fully done. I also had to tell her when the polish needed to be cleaned up around the nails. Also only cut a few cuticles. The spa pedicure consisted of lotion on the legs - - no massage of legs or feet. Very unpleasant experience with the staff and owner. Rudeness seems to be the way this place operates and the quick manicure did not last 2 days. I will never go back. I was told to sit down while the owner continued a lengthy conversation in Vietnamese while I sat at her station a good 10 minutes waiting for her to finish--that should have been my first clue. My family and I went to Happy Nails to get a pedicure and a refill for our nails. The lady that was speaking to us was very loud and she was screaming throughout the store. She kept telling us that we had to get the powder dip, which we did not want to get and made it very clear, instead of a regular powder refill. My aunt wanted to get a tropical color for her nails, so she chose to get purple on the tips and a natural color with it. The lady that was very loud was doing her nails. When my aunt first saw the color on her nails, she made it very clear to the lady multiple times that it didn't look good and that she wanted to stop and remove it. The lady then kept telling her that it looked good and forcefully just finished the manicure. After, my aunt made the decision to paint over the nail with REGULAR POLISH. I looked at the price for regular polish and it was $12. So I said ok, she'll just charge $12 because the costumer did not like the result, and wanted something else. But no, the lady said it was going to be $45 because she had put the powder underneath the polish, which would "make it last longer". If a costumer is not happy with your work, you should be willing to do whatever to make them happy. That's how you keep costumers. My family had already gotten our pedicures, which were good but fast, so we decided we would pay and never come back. The end price was $105; $20 for a pedicure (x3) and $45 for my aunt's regular polish refill/manicure. read more

I would give zero stars if that was an option. I've gotten many manicures in my life, and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had for a few reasons. 1) The nail technician started using some kind of razor to cut my nails. I stated that I would like just a regular manicure with the nail scissors and file, but she insisted that this was better. I hesitantly agreed, but second later I was pulling my hands away in PAIN because she was cutting into my skin. I was bleeding! When I told the technician that I did not want her to use this device anymore she looked annoyed and told me that my nails would not look as good, and that would be my fault. 2) The nail polish application was HORRIBLE. It honestly looked like I let a child paint my nails. When I asked the technician to re-do a few of the sloppiest nails, she flat out said no. I asked to speak to the manager, which brings me to my last point. 3) Management was extremely RUDE! I've never been spoken to that way as a paying customer. The owner insulted me continuously until another patron stepped in and shared her disappoint/disgust with their treatment. I will NEVER go back here again. read more

Went in to get a manicure and pedicure with my grandmother. The employee who took care of me was extremely rude to both me and my grandmother, laughing at a foot injury my grandmother asked the woman taking care of her to look out for. The pedicure was fine, but the manicure was an absolute mess. Filing is crooked, painting is sloppy, and the woman was very rough and rushed through the whole thing, despite the fact that no one was waiting. Definitely will not be going back here. read more

as told in the phone that my service was going to be $25. i understand prices change pending the client but jumped to $40 because my nails were "special". then after service i went home to see the gel peeling off the acrylic already and the acrylic all bumpy and clumped and jagged. called to speak with a manager and the women who did them got on the phone and started to yell at me. when i went back to get them fixed she cut me twice and roughly handled my nails and hands. nails still look horrible will never step foot in again read more

New owners are terrible. A week before I had a new spa treatment with NuSkin products, because I know the product and I like it. But do not take the spa treatment at this place. Not for extra $20! NuSkin product was used in a such small amount, that I felt cheated. Today, I came in for a manicure only and was told that the wait time is 10 minutes. And it is fine, because I did not make an appointment. But the owner was taking in people who came after me and who also were walk-ins, leaving me sitting there for 20 minutes. Finally I asked and the explanation the owner's wife gave: "pedicures come first"! Why because they cost more???? Today was my final visit. There are many other nail places on the shore. Do yourself a favor and skip this place: the mani and pedi should be a pleasant and relaxing experience.
