I would just like to say I would absolutely never leave a bad review if didn't truly feel this way. I went in to get a soak off and got seated. The bowl they used was highly unsanitary and looked as if it had not ever been cleaned. I ask the guy to keep my nails long because I don't have tips and like my length -- he proceeded to cut two of them down. Already I want to leave -- instead of letting them just soak he keeps going back and forth between my hands and is drilling them off on level ten with a metal nail bit. which is very harsh on the nail bed. I asked him to turn it down a bit because it was hurt, he nodded and proceeded to not turn it down. On top of that, the acetone was burning hot to the point where I couldn't keep my nails soaking in there, so I explained that to him and he did nothing. At that point I said thank you but I will just leave with my nails like this. I left with horrible nails and they still charged me full price. I am a hairstylist and this is never the way to treat clients, I will never return and you shouldn't go either. read more

Foremost, the service here is absolutely atrocious. You ask politely for a french tip you get met with rudeness and attitude. They close at random and tell you they aren't accepting customers when the place is nearly empty. If we're being completely honest here, they do cheap and entry level work. Find LITERALLY any other nail salon. Any one. Seriously. I only gave one star because I can't give 0. There's a nice place in Marshall's Creek I take my girl to now. I'd rather drive forty-five minutes than deal with this place. read more

This places doesn't take appointments and it's always packed with tonns of people, so the wait for the nails is always at least 30 min. Don't think coming here before the holidays, the wait will be 1.5+ hrs. They have a good choice of colors which is good. I've been coming here for more than a year but now I found a different place. Sometimes they do you nails just fine, but sometimes nails are different length and angled. Yikes! This place was awful! I walked in on Friday for a mani pedi and the woman who took me was very rude. Instead of communicating with me she during the pedicure, she was pushing and hitting my feet around when it was time to move them. fine. ok. language barrier, maybe? The pedi was lackluster, no foot massage or anything like that, but the end result did come out decently. Now onto the worst "manicure" I have ever gotten. Lets note that I came in with three other women (so 4 of us ladies), and three of us got mani/pedi. One got just a pedi, no polish. The woman who gave me my pedi did my manicure as well. She asked if I wanted my nails cut or filed. Since mine were nice and long, I asked just to have them filed a bit. While she is doing her thing, I am speaking to my friends. After filing, she asks me to wash my hands and takes another woman who had come in to do her eyebrows. This happens, no big deal. I go to wash my hands and notice how strangely she had shaped my nails. They were cut inwards on both sides extremely and then straight across. I have attached a photo of the closest thing I could find (note none of my nails looked this good, none were the same length afterwards and were jagged). When the woman returned, I politely told her that I was not happy with the way may nails looked at the moment, and asked if she could file them down lower and make them more even. She took a finger and swiped back and forth a few times and it didn't look much different. I offered to do one nail myself to show her what I was looking for (again, thought maybe a language barrier). She then THREW the file at me and walked away. So, I filed all my nails down myself...... She came back asking "Are you done" and said yes. She then puts the polish on. My nails got trimmed down a good amount, but they still looked decent so whatever. This place is CASH ONLY on Friday and Saturdays and when it was time to pay, I went up with the other ladies to pay.... SHE CHARGED ME FULL PRICE! I am disgusted. The owner who sits in the first station (Kim) is rude and money hungry. No electronic forms of payment accepted on Friday and Saturday, CASH ONLY. She changes the prices of services as she sees fit after having her customers wait for very long periods of time. She doesn't deserve business from loyal patrons. No one acknowledged me upon arriving (After reading other reviews I was not expecting this). First they hand wash their nail tools (clippers..etc). They are not sterilized with in an autoclave. Second I have gel nails. Instead of wrapping every nail with cotton ball soaked in acetone and wrap the finger with foil they put your fingers in bowl with acetone. Your skin is exposed to and sucking up the acetone! After my nails were soaking the man that did my nails then sucked up the acetone into the bottle to reuse for the next customer! I have been going to Happy Nails for over 15 years it is the best place in our area. I don;t agree with the reviews on the front page. there is a list at the front desk and as soon as you come in they ask what you want done. Just was there today and two women were here on vacation and came in and were very happy with their service. read more
