Just moved into the neighborhood and was on a walk looking for my new nail spot and needing a pedi. All the people writing negative reviews are people who show up when they're booked and just unhappy they couldn't get in for an appointment. Who do you think you are~royalty? Pretty selfish & self centered to attack a kind long running small business like Happy Nails. & who ever came said they had only 10 colors is crazy bc there's ever color, glitter, temperature changing polish u can think of. We stopped by on a Saturday and there were 2 ladies getting a pedicure and another lady paying so a total of 3 customers. I asked if they could fix my nails and she said they were "too busy". I looked at my daughter and we were both confused as there wasn't anyone else in there. I mean even the lady paying kind of chuckled. I asked "are you serious"? And she said "yes". Alright, you would think they would take me in and make some quick cash as I only needed my nails re-filed. They could of earned my business but she was not interested. I wandered into this nail salon to get a dip manicure. I should have followed my gut when they only had about 10 colors to choose from. She started to remove my nails with an artificial nail tip!!!! I immediately questioned her, and asked if she was going to soak the dip product off, and then she scurried to get the supplies needed to do so. I could tell she was unfamiliar with the dip process, and I'm fairly certain she used a gel clear top. I won't be returning. read more

I've been a client at Happy Nails for over 20 years. I love Cindy and Susan and the quality of work is amazing. The salon is clean and very reasonably priced. Make sure to book ahead as they are generally unable to take walk-ins. Can't recommend them enough!! read more

After 10 years of declining services, standards, and professionalism I can no longer recommend this place. 2 years ago I stopped using Susan for pedicures due to poor workmanship. Nails chipping days, not weeks after the appointment. Horrible art work and ingrown nails. Now we get to today. I had a fill 4 days ago and my thumb nail separated and broke. Four days. Ok it happens. Called Cindy and made an appointment to get the nail fixed. She then tells me it's my fault because she only does the top of me nail. What???? This clear deflection of workmanship is unacceptable. To the point that I was ready to walk out half way through the repair. We make an appointment for the following Wednesday for my next fill. Three hours later I receive a text that she cannot meet my standards and has cancelled the appointment. I do not text to communicate with her, very unprofessional. A word to the wise, Cindy will share ALL the private personal information you tell her with other clients. I know who is crazy, getting divorced, in rehab, cheating on their husband and much much more. I stopped sharing with her the moment she crossed the client gossip line. There is a reason she can't get anyone else to work for her. And she tells me all the time how much of a problem Susan is to business and clients. read more

The reason why I'm giving it a one-star very unprofessional people I went in there on Friday June 25,2018. The reason for me going in to see if they can just shut my nails off real quickly wasn't going to take long so she looks at me then looks down at her little appointment book and says that she's all booked up that right there did not make any sense to me. I love my nail experience every time I see Cindy at Happy Nails. I just recommneded a co-worker, and she too loves Cindy. We take photos of my nails everytime I go. I always get compliments from guys and gals about my nails. Happy Nails is the best - the cleanest - and most professional salon. Its a real treat and relaxing spa day for me. I love my nails painted in 2 color combinations to match my SW jewelry & Cindy makes it all happen. With this said, be honest if you chew your nail(s) just once you are going to have a slipt nail or something come loose. Cindy will fix it. No one works for free. Ok so first of all, this is my very first review and i just had to write about my experience here at happy nails. My cousin and I came here to get a pedi the weekend of super bowl last year. Waiting wasn't bad at all considering there were only a few ladies there and I believe there were 3 nail techs working? Anywho, I had a lady name Christine working on my toes. She told me that she was just helping for the weekend bc she actually worked at a different location. She seemed really friendly. making small talk with me... though it was very hard to understand her bc she had a really thick accent.. but I just do what I always do, nod and smile. As she was getting started on my toes, I noticed she was a bit rough. Ohhhkay..... a lot rough actually. It very unpleasant but I just sat there gripping onto my magazine and prayed that she would hurry up and just finish already. After she painted my toes, I told her that I wanted a flower design and I even pointed out the design to her on the sample board. She smiled and said 'ok' in which I started to feel a little relieved since my time there was almost coming to an end. I proceeded to look down to read my magazine for a while.. but as I made a quick glance at my toes I noticed that it did not look like the flower design that I had chosen. Instead, it started to look like the cardinals logo! WTF. now why would you do that???? I quickly asked her what that was and indeed, she was attempting to draw a cardinal on my toe (not a good one either, btw). I told her that's not what I wanted but she still kept insisting that I get it bc it was super bowl wknd. I was thinking to myself.. "Look lady.. i'm sorry, I love my cardinals and all but I am not getting that on my toe okay?!" Gahhh. She finally fixed it for me and put my original design of choice on and practically chased me out of the store. I think she felt a little insulted that I did not show interest in the design she picked for me but come on now, really???? That obviously was not what i wanted so why would you go and do that? I am obviously paying for it so I should be able to get whatever I want on it. This ain't free woman!!! OH, and also.. they did not accept tips in any other form other than cash, in which i did not have.. but needless to say, I didn't feel all that bad about it. My husband and I were both in desperate need of a pedi on a Sunday and the most recent place I went to in this area was closed on Sundays. We walked in and the receptionist was very kind and scheduled us to come back in about 45 minutes. Since we live down the street, this was no problem, so we ran some errands and returned. The salon was VERY clean unlike another one down the street which I visited 6 months prior. The techs were nice, the chairs comfy and the atomosphere relaxed. I got a regular pedi with a french/design, hubby got the callus removal pedi. The total was $51 for the two of us- pretty standard for our area. Susan was really nice, polite and did a great job on both of us. I always feel bad for anyone that has to deal with hubbys feet- they aren't the most attractive and he works a blue collar job so they take a lot of "wear and tear". Susan is the nail tech that helped me with my fingernail disaster! I had broken an acrylic nail and I didn't stop from there I peeled the rest off. So this nice place told me how good my natural nails looked and went on from there. My nail issue is fixed with my natural nails and gel polish. AWESOME! I don't go anywhere else for pedicures. My husband and I go together once a month. It was hard enough to get my husband to agree to go with me that I did not need him to be uncomfortable. Both Cindy and Susan made us both feel very welcomed and relaxed. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is that since there are only two employees scheduling can sometimes be tricky. Shop is older and could use some updating but always very clean. read more

This is the best nail salon in Tempe! The service is personal and one of a kind. Cindy and Susan make you feel at home and comfortable for the entire time you're there. I would not recommend this nail salon to no one. they did a very bad job on my nails that the next day they looked so horrible they where discolored and looked like I needed a fill.
