I was reluctant to try the newly remodeled "Chinese Garden" due to so many negative reviews from others. I'm glad I gave it a try. The remodeled is beautiful! The restaurant is refreshed and feels clean. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The food is different from Chinese Garden, but that's not a bad thing. I found my lunch was hot, flavorful and a decent quantity. I will definitely be back.

This place years ago was Chinese Garden and a family favorite. Out Harley riding thot i wud check out the remodel and new owners. Started with a disappointing fried shrimp. The batter was flavorless. Had a odd taste. Dipped in enuf mustard and sweet sauce it was edible. For my meal Happy Family with shrimp, chicken, BBQ pork, scallops and vegetables in black sauce and $2 more for pork fried rice. Not as good as the Chinese food in Kalama. The shrimp was the small dime size shrimp with the dark uncleaned line. The remodel is bright and fresh included the bathrooms. Staff is very nice and friendly. Probably wud not return.

Lunch special: General Tso's Chicken, BBQ Pork, pork fried rice.

Decided to stop in and try since they opened up. We used to love coming here prior and thought we'd give the new owners a chance as well. We were greeted with friendly smiles and sat down immediately. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. We both got the lunch special that comes with either steamed rice or fried rice and soup then you choose 1 thing from the appetizer list and one from the main dish. We did find out if you get the potstickers from the lunch special, they are frozen ones but their standalone appetizer is the handmade ones, so we opted for those. They were pretty good and had good seasoning to them. The BBQ Pork we each got was some of the best we've had but there was a bit of fat on the edges of a few pieces. The flavor was really great and it was moist and not dried out like we've had at other places. The pork fried rice actually had decent flavor for house fried rice. My Mongolian beef had a really nice flavor that had a bit of heat but not so much that I couldn't eat it. The beef was tender too. The General Tsos chicken had good flavor as well. Husband said he'd like it spicier but overall flavor was good. The place has been upgraded and new tables and benches, the restaurant looked clean.

Great food. Not over seasoned. Didn't taste like MSG. Bright atmosphere and very friendly staff. And weekday lunch menus special is under $15. Very much enjoyed our meals

Truly the best in the area. Consistent Quality- both the food and service. This place is clean , servers are pleasant and the good quality is consistently good.

These potstickers are amazing! They are as big as my fist, I've never seen anything like it! The service was attentive without being obtrusive. More expensive then I expected, but at least it wasn't expensive AND disappointing! I'll be back for these potstickers-but I'll have to bring friends to help eat them!

It's been far too long since I had the pleasure of returning to the heavenly flavors this restaurant exudes!! I am having an Almond Joy (mild alcoholic beverage) while I wait for my order to go. Service is very tentative and accommodating, food is always made with love and swiftness. The Singapore is my forever go to and of course can't forget the wontons! They are phenomenal! Prices are well for the quality and quantity of amazing food! I've been coming here for years and never been disappointed.

I've eaten here twice. The first time was at lunch and the second was at dinner time. The portions from the lunch menu are what you typically get at most Chinese restaurants for dinner. The dinner portions are MASSIVE! Overall, the food is very good. Fresh and hot. The service is very good. They are upbeat and very helpful. So far, the potstickers are my favorite. They are huge and very tasty. The honey glazed shrimp was my least favorite because of all the breading on the shrimp but the flavor is very good. We will be eating leftovers for a few days. Yes, the price is a bit high but they make up for it with the amount of food and the service.

It did have plenty of bacon and clams in it but the broth of the chowder was different. We did not care for it and it was very different than other clam chowder dishes. Next we ordered the cod fish and chips and the crab sandwich. Along with those came fries and coleslaw. The fries were hot and amazing while the coleslaw was very dry with little sauce. The fish and chips were the best ever. They were even better than perfect. Next we shared the crab sandwich and neither of us took more than a bite. It was actually terrible but not sure if it was as intended or not to our taste. Either way with all this tasting the fish and chips were great but nothing else was even something we would ever order again. The restaurant was clean except for the floor. It was very sticky. Servers were good in taking our order and handing us the bill but never came back to check on us once. Needless to say if we want fish & chips, we get them as a takeout. We would definitely order the fish again as it rated 5 stars with us but nothing else. The chowder was 2 stars in our mind and the crab sandwich a 1 star.

The definition of a charming little downtown restaurant!…read more The décor is wonderful, and I love that they've preserved its old-time character. There's an eclectic mix of tables and chairs that adds to the charm, and they've done an excellent job fitting plenty of seating into the space without making it feel crowded. There's also a cozy little bar with the obligatory TVs. Despite the lack of soft surfaces, the noise level was surprisingly low, and the background music was at just the right volume, making conversation easy. We seated ourselves, and our server arrived promptly with menus and took our drink order. Unfortunately, after our food was delivered, she seemed to disappear. She never came back to check on our meal, and we ended up asking another server for drink refills. The food, however, was fantastic! I had the Pacific Pasta (I may have the name slightly wrong), and it was outstanding. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was light and flavorful, and there was so much seafood! I expected a couple of shrimp and a few chunks of salmon, but the plate was loaded with both. My husband ordered the tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly, and he enjoyed the rice as well. The presentation of both dishes was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. Our bill came to about $110 for an appetizer, two entrées, and three drinks. If I had one small wish, it would be cloth napkins. It's a tiny detail and certainly doesn't take away from the experience, but it's one of those little touches that would have made the meal feel just a bit more special. Overall, I was very impressed and would definitely recommend this restaurant. I'd happily return the next time we're in town.
