Our vet (The Visiting Vet) comes to our house for appointments, so when we knew our guy Franks had really just fought his last night with laryngeal paralysis we called her and she agreed to come over that afternoon. Our vet had already made all the arrangements, so we did not have to do any of the work, but Life Tails was truly amazing. After our vet left at 3:45, Life Tails was there by 4:05 to pick Franks up. They were so kind. I had to leave the room because I mentally just could not handle him being taken away, but Mr. MVP said they were very super gentle and made a funny and very helpful comment on how amazing Franks coat is (the gentleman thought Franks was all hair, but this made Mr. MVP laugh because Franks was BIG - 75 pounds big). Life Tails called us just two days later and we were able to pick Franks back up. He came back to us in a wooden box that suits Franks really well. We have used other cremation services in the past and have ended up buying other pottery or boxes, but this box does Franks proud. Some non-pet people may think pet cremation is crazy, but until you have loved and been loved by a dog for 12 years you will not understand how painful it is to have a four legged family member die. Life Tails helps makes this extremely terrible process less so.

I appreciated the dogs being able to socialize with other dogs. If these people send employees home at a precise time , lock up and don't take dogs that are late even when life happens and a client calls to say they will be late, what do they do if they haven't finished feeding or cleaning up after the dogs? This incident was caused by the managers difficulty with being flexible! Customers don't come first! Hope they get this reworked! Prior to this I told friends that it was a good place!!

It is just for a lyme/heartworm test...why are no vet tech appointments available for that simple visit on Saturdays? Be more flexible for those who have normal jobs and cannot just take their pet in at anytime during the day. If it were not for this, I would have given a 5 star review.

We take our Olde English Bulldogges there and love that the care is not only thorough but affordable. Dr Bruce is extremely smart and does a great job of educating us. Last year he performed surgery on our bulldog's hematoma (surgery for Bulldogs are always dangerous because of their normal airway restrictions), but he and his wife, the surgical manage, took great care of Truman. Their repair was as good as a certified plastic surgeons! You can't even tell they operated on him when you look at him. This saved his ear and Truman's self esteem! Lol I bred Bulldogs once and would never take my Bulldogs anywhere else! I highly recommend this clinic, if yyour pes but don't want to end up in the poor house when caring for them.

I can not be more thankful to these wonderful people for the compassion they showed from start to to finish. When I picked up his ashes a week later they were in a nice tin with a blue rose on top. The plasters of his paw prints were a beautiful remembrance of my little side kick. I have been bringing my…read moreanimals to this clinic since I moved to Richland 35 years ago, but since the hospital was sold to the conglomerate MARS corporation the place has really gone down hill! The staff is a revolving door and Dr. Haley McCall I assume is a recent graduate of vet school and lacks experience. She also is very "WOKE" and a fool in my opinion. Two weeks ago I brought my 9 year old lab mix for a routine check-up, Lepto vaccine and Heartworm Test. Dr. McCall was unable to get the blood necessary for the Heartworm test, so she prescribed heavy duty drugs and asked me to return. I have a family member who has worked in Vet medicine for over 30 years, has managed the small animal ICU at MSU and now does the same at Iowa State University. She disagreed with Dr. McCall's prescribing all the medications just to "calm" down the animal and instructed me a bit differently. When I returned to VCA Animal hospital with my husband in tow to hold the animal while the blood was being drawn. The technician, also unable to get the blood because the animal was twitchy, went to get Dr. McCall. Dr. McCall questioned me asking if I had not understood her instructions. When I explained that I had gotten a 2nd opinion regarding the drugs, she stated that my dog was "Scared", and that is the reason she had prescribed as she did. I stated to her that every dog I had ever brought through the door in the past 35 years was "Scared"! Dogs are nervous (Scared) at the vet, that is almost a universal thing. As I did not comply with Dr. McCall's drugging of my animal, she refused to attempt to draw the necessary blood and we left the practice. I will also add that now that VCA Richland is owned by a corporation their prices have skyrocketed and are outrageous! Do yourself a favor, Go Some Place Else!!

I moved here from out of town. I wanted to make sure that I went to a non-corporate Vet Office. I…read morewent twice to the gull road veterinary clinic. The first time was to get the second shot in a series that dog needed to live here in Michigan. The veterinarian told since I didn't have proof that he got the first shot that we would have to start the series all over. I couldn't believe the words were coming out of her mouth like I would lie about him getting the first dose of a Lyme disease shot? I figured at that point if they caused me anymore issues I would just leave and go to another practice. But then my dog got a UTI. I didn't notice until the late afternoon so I ended up going to an emergency vet. Emergency vet only gave me five days of an antibiotic instead of the usual 10. This made me nervous because I was going out of town and I had to put my dog in a kennel. I wanted to make sure that he was completely cleared of the UTI and comfortable. Once he finished the antibiotics, I waited a few days and took him in to Mosel. He still didn't seem 100% and the UA they did on him showed bacteria, red blood cells, white blood cells and the pH was very low. They told me that since his UA looked better than it did at the emergency vet that he was very clearly completely over the UTI and even though he only got five days of antibiotics from the emergency vet and I was going out of town and putting him in a kennel, they were not going to give me more antibiotics. Long story short, given hindsight, it seems that he was suffering that whole weekend in the kennel because not only did the UTI get worse, but he also got kennel cough, which he has always been vaccinated for. I ended up taking him to an emergency vet again for the UTI and the infection had spread to his kidney and they had to do an ultrasound to confirm. He is now on 10 days of antibiotics and I have a follow up with a new vet to confirm that he's over it After he was at the emergency vet for the UTI two days later, he developed a cough and I had to take him back. Turns out he was sick at the kennel and probably that made his immune system vulnerable to getting kennel cough. Now he can't go back to a dog park or a kennel for 2 to 3 months because he would be contagious and would transfer it to other dogs. So my two time visit to Mosel has destroyed every vacation and work trip I have coming up, has cost me more money, and has tormented my dog when I was just trying to be the best dog guardian I could be. I now have to hire a private company to come into my home and check on my dog four times a day when I have to leave for work trips. Not only does my dog not get to play with other dogs while I'm gone but he gets to sit alone in the house like a punishment. All I wanted was to make sure that the UTI was cleared and it wasn't. All I wanted to do was do the exact right thing for my dog to make sure he was 100% and they refused.
