I came in with an empty tank to get help selecting a lid and the cashier was really helpful and patient despite my cluelessness regarding exactly how to take measurements. I have worked with exotic animals for over 20 years and tropical/salt water fish for longer, this lady is by far the most knowledgeable in the trade in this area. I would recommend this store of any other in the area for any of your needs. Pet Stores should be looked at more for the quality of the animals and the knowledge of the employees then the bright shiny lights and employees that don't know the difference between a guppy and a ram. From the moment we met her, she was cheerful, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. We originally stopped by just to ask about grooming because we saw a promotion, but Mandy went above and beyond to check availability. She told us she had an opening that same afternoon, so we ran home to grab our two Australian Shepherds. A few hours later, she called to let us know they were ready, and we couldn't have been happier with the results. Both dogs looked fantastic, and it was clear they were cared for with professionalism and kindness. Because of Mandy, we've already booked our next appointment and look forward to many more visits. She made the entire experience easy, positive, and enjoyable. Mandy is truly a standout--thank you for taking such great care of our pups!

You can tell by their aquarium section that they really do care about the animals (always the telltale sign at a pet store). They have something for all types of animal lovers, including various reptiles, birds, fish, rodents, invertebrates, and more! Unfortunately they are cash only, which is a downside for customers and the business alike. It's important for businesses to have a card reader in this era, so I hope they are able to change this in the future. Aside from that, I love this little pet store and visit frequently. It's a lot better than many commercial pet stores with hoards of dead fish and dirty enclosures. I recommend this business!

As I walked up to the front door I noticed that weekly/monthly specials were posted. After walking in I was immediately greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable employee who helped me find exactly what I was looking for -- I said rawhides when what I really meant was Bully Sticks. :) I spent around $45 on a nice assortment of dog treats (they have a very large variety including a multitude of small training type treats), a bully stick ring, and Tibetan dog chew. Who knew?! I believe the front half of the store is dedicated to dog items, middle of the store for cats, and then at the very back of the store in kind of a separate room is the food. Had I not just bought my dog's food, I would have looked to see if they carry his brand. I did notice they they carry a large selection of FROMM foods, which I've always been a fan of. They had a cute table of gourmet dog treats that you could use to create your own mixed assortment. Might try this next time. If you need a funny greeting card, look no further. They carry the Avanti brand, which is my all-time favorite. They offer some harder to find subject matters like pet-loss, pet-sitting, etc. Prices are more than fair. Everything I bought could be found online, but at more expensive prices. Excellent customer service. Conveniently located in a strip mall with UPS and my favorite Chinese restaurant in IC. Plenty of parking.
