Jet Blue cancelled our flight the night before our departure time. They rescheduled our departure 1 1/2 hours earlier. I contacted Happy Shuttle right away and asked Victor if we could be picked up earlier. He proceeded to tell me that they needed 24h notice for a change of pick up. I explained that this was not our fault and that I had been a customer of Happy Shuttle probably for 10 years. He refused. Luckily, airport check in was very quickly and the flight was delayed. Happy Scuttle has lost us a customer. Also, since we own property on Isla Mujeres, I have been recommending them to our guests. But now I will steer my guests to other transfer companies. They will probably lose over 100 bookings this year alone. Not a very smart move by Happy Shuttle! read more

The driver was very friendly and provided great information and guidance on transportation options in Cancun. I recently traveled alone to Cancun and was nervous about getting a shared shuttle to my resort. I contracted with Happy Shuttle to pick me up at the international airport and transfer me, and just me, about 45 minutes north on the island. It was the best $105 I've ever spent on round trip service! The email confirmation provided precise details on what to expect before, during and after my trip. There was ample email correspondence regarding where to pick up the shuttle, including the platform number and even the color of the coordinator's t-shirt! Never having been to Cancun, I felt confident of the exact location. I checked in and the coordinator quickly radio'd to my ride that I was ready for pick up. I was also given a check out time right away that I was told would be confirmed the night before my departure. I was happy to only endure a short wait of about 5 minutes before my driver arrived. The entire drive out to the resort, the driver shared the pride he has for his country and family and made me feel welcome and safe. I was told to confirm my pick up time the night before the end of my trip, and the staff was very responsive via email. My driver arrived on the dot to my resort, and though it was a little bit of a hurried and rough ride back to the airport (even though we had ample time), I was overall happy with the total experience. Considering the fact that I was originally booked on a shared shuttle that received way too many 1 star reviews, I'm beyond thrilled that I chose to cancel that reservation and book with Happy Shuttle. Excellent communication with punctual service! Happy Shuttle is safe and dependable! We were staying at Secrets Resort Akumal which is about an hour south of Cancun airport. Rather than paying the resort shuttle through Amstar shuttle services, I searched for other options. Happy shuttle was less than half of Amstar pricing with a private transfer vs. shared shuttle. Upon making the reservation online, I immediately received a confirmation email with instructions depending on which terminal you'd fly into. The detailed instructions helped us skip all of the nonsense with people trying to sell you their transportation service along with other amenities. Our private shuttle driver was on time coming and going. They provided bottled water and happy conversation. I would highly recommend using Happy Shuttle when traveling through Cancun. read more

I booked with this company in February of this year. They were very responsive and gave good details about the process. Upon arrival, everything went as scheduled. At time of my departure, I was not picked up for my return trip to the airport. I arrived at the designated pick up location 15min before my scheduled pick up time. I waited for 35 minutes and resulted to using a local taxi. When I contacted the company to express my concerns the company showed no accountability for not having a driver at the location on time. I received an email with a driver looking for me 38 minutes after my pick up time. They even had pictures as if I was in the wrong. A thoroughly UNHAPPY experience. I recently booked a private roundtrip picked and return from Cancun to Playa del Carmen. I booked a private reservation so we'd be sure to have transportation right away and not have to wait for passengers from other flights. Their advertisement says this : Book with us prior to your arrival and a date and time will be arranged, we will wait for you outside the airport so rest assured that you won't find an issue. After you've found us we'll help you with your luggage and we'll head to your destination. We arrive, there is no-one waiting with a sign so we had to find them, not them there for us. We were told that the driver was not there that it would be 10 minutes, and kept being told that for 45 minutes while we waited outside in the 90 degree heat.. I told them I wanted a refund at that time so I could just take a taxi and they told me I'd have to do that online via email since that's the way I booked it. So we paid for a taxi and I proceeded to request a refund via email. I was given the run-around, saying they'd refund my return for $48 rather than my $129 since I took a taxi from the airport. This correspondence has gone on for over a week with no resolution; only their refusal to refund me despite them not doing as they advertise. DO NOT USE THEM if you're looking for a "HAPPY" transfer. read more

We were hesitant about how were going to get to Tulum from the airport as there are so many reviews saying that taxis will scam you etc. So we booked through this service and although it was pricier than a shuttle or taxi, not having to worry about getting there made things alot easier. Their customer service is amazing. I had to change our destination pickup around 3 times due to airbnb troubles but they were extremely fast and accommodating. They are also very responsive on whatsapp. During pickup it was clear that he came early as to not miss our pickup time. Would definitely use this service again if we were to ever come back to Tulum. January 8-12, 2022: Our first time in Cancun. I did some research before our trip, and came across Happy Shuttle online. Selling point was that we contract for the vehicle, and would share with other passengers. We were not greeted at the airport exit, which caused some anxiety. A taxi driver spoke with us and suggested that we call Happy Shuttle. Apparently they were short staffed, and we had to wait for a driver. There was some miscommunication regarding the hotel location, but that got resolved after I agreed to pay an additional fee. The driver had me speak several times with dispatch during our ride to the hotel. Dispatch did communicate afterwards via email, confirming the correct pickup point, and that I made the additional payment as requested. The ride to the airport was much nicer. Richard arrived before our pickup time of 6am, and he was very professional and courteous. All in all, I'm happy with their service, and looking forward to using them again in the future. read more

Happy Shuttle Cancun is the way to go for your transportation needs. They were waiting for us as soon as we walked out of the airport terminal, just as they said they would. Our driver was friendly and patient with my better-than-average-but-still-laughable attempts at Spanish. Our driver for the return trip to the airport arrived at the hotel at the exact time we had been told he would, and, zip!, 20 minutes later, we were at the airport. If you don't already know, payment for the round trip (cash/credit) is made INSIDE the van when you first get in, since they are not allowed to accept payment on airport property. I used Happy Shuttle to get back and forth between the Cancun Airport and ferry. My first ride had a driver who was very unprofessional - he cussed a lot, asked me personal questions that made me uncomfortable, and made homophobic comments and taught me dirty and homophobic words in Spanish (I didn't ask). My second driver was a no-show for a 6:30am pick-up. There was no traffic issue at that time. I called the company, and they dispatched someone else who came twenty minutes later. We flew into Cancun airport and used the shuttle service to get to Playa De Carmen back in September 2016. That was our first time using Happy Shuttle. I was a little scared at first that they would not show up on time, but we exited the airport and they were outside waiting for us with their Happy Shuttle logo sign. Very happy that they were reliable and they got us to our resort on schedule. The next trip we planned and we just scheduled right on their website since we knew they are reliable. This second time using Happy Shuttle, we came came with close friends and just like the first time they were timely. The cost was very fair compared to other shuttle services and we did have private vans each time (it was only 10 dollars more to have a private van). We had really nice drivers on every trip. I spoke in Spanish to them but they still try to practice there English as well in order to talk to everyone in the van. The vans were nice and clean and they also offered us water for the long drive to Playa De Carmen. When it was time for us to leave our hotel on both trips, they picked us up at the time that they said they would (very reliable). I will defiantly use them again on my next trip to Playa de Carmen which is hopefully very soon. read more

Do not use this service unless to do not care about a refund! American Airlines canceled my flight the night before. I called Happy Shuttle to change my time for the same day. I was informed that now they could not help me but I would get a refund. I did not cancel them. Flight times change frequently and to think that they are not flexible. Then I had to pay more for a taxi since they could not provide me the service. To later find out that they chose charge me more when I still wanted their service is simply unacceptable. Nice employees wearing uniforms. There wasn't a name board but they were easy to find. Make sure that you have the address that you are heading to and directions for the driver if the location is obscure or remote. Booked the round trip and they already gave me the return ticket and told me that they will be here at the prescribed time. The van is Air Conditioned so well that I used my travel blanket to stay warm. Comfort and customer satisfaction are their priorities if I'm judging by their actions. read more

I highly recommend Happy Shuttle. My husband and I made a reservation with Happy Shuttle before flying to Cancun. After we arrived, we made it through immigration and we went outside. The happy shuttle people were wearing green shirts with the words "Happy Shuttle" on them. A nice lady took our name and verified our destination. We were in an air conditioned van on our way to the resort within five minutes. The drivers were nice. Ostudio was super nice and a great driver. He even had a playlist of all different kinds of music for us to listen to. The van was nice and clean. When our vacation was over, the driver who picked us up was right on time at our hotel. We had an early flight, and we left at our scheduled time at 5:00 AM. I recommend making on online reservation. It's very easy. We will definitely use Happy Shuttle again. One warning: Be sure to ignore all the people who are trying to sell you something on the way out of the airport. They're standing by door before you leave the building after you exit immigration. Happy Shuttle couldn't pick us up in Chiquila due to protests on the highway - note I do NOT blame them for not being able to pick us up. Worst service ever. Paid for a private car - had to wait over an hour for pickup in shuttles with multiple people. Several families were left in the heat with their small babies for extended periods of time. Customer service was awful, we were just told there was "traffic" with no apology. So I purchased a shuttle from the airport in Cancun to the Margaritaville Island Reserve Reviera Cancun. The original agreed price was $64.50. That's a really good rate for a round trip. Anyway, I get to Cancun and find the shuttle service, board the shuttle and start the trip to the resort. Soon it becomes apparent that we are headed to the wrong resort. Happy Shuttle is taking us to Margarita Hotel, I assume downtown Cancun. After talking to his supervisor, they want another $60.00 to transport me. Thinking well, the resorts are close to the same name, maybe a communication issue English/Spanish, Spanish/English I went ahead and paid it. The driver delivered us to our destination without issue. I received an email stating I needed to check in prior to the return trip. 48 hours before my departure I sent an Email to Happy Shuttle stating the time I need to depart. Within an hour I got a confirmation stating a shuttle would be at the resort at noon on the date of departure. That day came and I waited at the resort entrance waiting for the shuttle. Noon came and went so I called Happy Shuttle, they informed me that my shuttle was stuck in traffic and would be arriving in 10 minutes. 25 minutes later I called them again. The agent said that they would not be sending a shuttle to pick me up as no driver was available. I told them that I had already paid for the transfer, the said they would issue a refund for the return trip within three weeks and I should call a cab. At this point I was a little mad said some unpleasant things. Happy Shuttle hung up and declined to work with me. This business understands that tourists don't have any rights in Mexico and if they have a staffing issue it's the customers issue not theirs. DON'T USE THEM. read more

My husband and I recently traveled to Cancun Mexico. I made arrangements 2 weeks prior to our trip. The service was perfect. They were prompt as promised, the van was waiting for us as soon as we stepped out of the airport. (Just make sure to look for the green shirts because there are a lot of pick up vans outside of the airport). They verified our names and off we went. The driver was very courteous and professional and the van was clean. On the return trip, again the driver, Luis Ocana was prompt. We used Happy Shuttle service on our trip to Cancun. The drivers were very nice, although we purchased our round trip tickets for the shuttle to Isla Mujeras, and they said that since our kid was 16, we needed to purchase a "child" ticket. When we went to use the ticket at the shuttle location, they refused to let us use the ticket because they said they went by height, not age. We were forced to go back to the ticket area to purchase an adult ticket. I tried to explain to the shuttle service about the issue, but they just kept saying that Happy Shuttle gave us the wrong ticket. We had to leave our luggage, which was uncomfortable and almost missed our shuttle to the island. Upon leaving Cancun our shuttle driver couldn't find us because he went to the wrong hotel but the dispatcher called us and connected us with the driver who was able to come to the correct hotel and get us to the airport on time. I read reviews on TripAdvisor and Yelp and searched for shuttle to and from the airport to our hotel for the stay in Cancun as our hotel did not provide transportation. I was very glad to have stumbled upon Happy Shuttle and was able to print out my confirmation, realize I had put the pick-up time incorrectly. Then emailed for a correction and received prompt responses! Francisco and Felipe were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. We got stuck at the time-share booths and apologized for being a few minutes late to find them. It was a bit flustering at first, but the e-mail gave specific directions on how to locate them, which helped a lot. Even though our driver confused Hotel NYX with Wyx restaurant, we were all in good spirits as he even said, "haha! You guys got a tour!" I highly recommend Happy Shuttle. I booked a round trip transfer from Cancun airport to a hotel in Tulum and it was much cheaper than other private transport services I researched. They were easy to find once I landed and I didn't have to wait long to leave at all. They also give an option to purchase snacks during your ride OR they can stop for you at a grocery store to pick up booze, Waters, and any other stuff you might need on the way (for only $35 I think - so worth it !!) They allow changes to your reservation as long as you give them ample notice. This was great since I extended my trip a day longer!! I'm currently in the van on the way back to the airport and am having a lovely ride in the AC with a super friendly driver. I will be using Happy Shuttles every time I travel here!!! read more

We booked private round trip airport transportation. Once we got outside the airport and located the company, our wait time for a car was at least 20 minutes which you typically don't expect when you've reserved and paid for a private car. On the return, our flight was significantly delayed. While we knew the cost was non refundable, we hoped they would at least work with and accommodate us to some degree. They did not. Our original call asking for a later time ended with the representative stating that we needed to reschedule within 24 hours and the time requested couldn't be accommodated. So we canceled since we didn't want to wait at the airport an additional 5 hours. After reading the fine print on the confirmation, it stated we could reschedule subject to availability. So, I called back and said we can be flexible on time. They offered a new service for an additional cost. I escalated to a manager and shared we never would've canceled if we knew this was an option but the supervisor was not flexible. He referred to the policy and despite us not being given the full picture during our phone calls, was not willing to do anything to help us in this situation. I will never use this service again and recommend you don't either. read more

I couldn't possibly say enough good about this company. I used them before when I traveled with 3 others and had a good experience. This time, I was coming in for our wedding with about 70 other people. I organized the transfers for each group coming and leaving together with happy shuttles since I knew I could trust them and it worked perfectly. They were there waiting at the airport, spoke great English and were professional, charismatic and efficient. Then on the other end they were punctual to the resort and travel both ways was safe. Then, as if everything wasn't already perfect with then, my husband left his phone on the back seat apparently when we got out.
