My mom went to get her wedding dress tailored the lady pulled it so hard it stretched it out.. and basically was hating on my mom made her feel fat and ugly with her words. 0/10. New job requires new suit. New suit requires fitting. It might be new but it needs a professional to make it fit just right. I tried on the new suit with wingtips inside the store. After pants and jacket were pinned for precise fit the behind the scenes magic happens. I returned one week later to a perfectly altered new suit that fit perfectly. It's alteration not magic. We've been taking our clothes here for years for alterations and fixes. They're quick, friendly, and professional. They're also reasonably priced. It cost $5 to fix the belt loop on my boyfriend's jeans. We're definitely coming back when more alterations or when we need our clothes fixed! read more

my soon to be daughter in law and her mom just left Happy Tailit and she was in tears. the lady that helped her was so rude and mean. She yelled and my DIL's mother about holding the dress wrong. Told them she couldn't add the glitter skirt that she bought with the dress. Very helpful gentleman. They fixed a jacket zipper and jeans for me and did a quality job. He sat with me for several minutes showing me what needed to be done and how they would attempt to fix the zipper. Excellent customer service and very friendly. Happy Tailor saved the day for me! I am in a wedding and the bridal shop measured me wrong or the liner was not to size. So my bridesmaid dress did not fit around the hip/thigh area. I went to see what they could do and they suggested cutting out the liner and see what that will do. We did and it made all the difference. The best tailor/alterations shop I've EVER been to! The customer service was great and they did so much to make my wedding dress perfect and they did it SO quickly I was amazed! It took 2 weeks and two fittings to get my wedding dress perfectly fitting and gorgeous for an amazing price! They also did a bridesmaid dress for me in a week and it's absolutely perfect! The gentleman who spoke to me was polite and informed me that due to it being wedding season the repairs to my belt loops and the patch's would take about 1 week. The price was very reasonable. The work is effective and you can hardly notice the jeans have been patched. I will definitely use them again. I had a belt strap on a kilt that needed repair (first time I used Happy Tailor) it was according to the lady a easy fix. For a small fee she fixed it on the spot. I will return. read more

This location does the best BASIC alterations. Turn around time is around a week. I recently took in a zipper to be replaced on my skirt . I believe it was around $11. I do not recommend this location for other alterations that need closer detail work such as reconstructing, adding, or renewing expensive pieces you may have. I have taken pieces to them to work on and they will not touch them. This is just your basic tailor for zipper replacements, pant hemming, dress alterations, brining in cuffs etc. Nothing complicated done here at this shop. read more

I brought my wedding dress here and it was the best! My dress is very expensive and had A LOT of detailing. They did such an amazing job. They are reasonably priced, work very fast, and they're extremely nice. Each alternation I've had done here takes a week. Their turn around time is amazing and their work is even better. Very, very sweet Chinese couple owns this place (for a little over a year now) and are a joy to work with. Clean work environment, great service, and good communication from the time clothing is dropped off to pick up. Fun to chat with too. I altered a gown with fabric that is very complicated to work with -- raising the hemline ($45) and adding a slit ($15). Note that all pricing is different for individual alterations due to fabric, design, etc. Also hemmed a pair of short for $6. Great deals all around! Well, I wish I had posted this review sooner. Over a year ago, I had a bridesmaids dress that needed to be hemmed and taken in so I chose this business based off of Yelp reviews. I was charged more than the cost of my dress for the services provided by Happy Tailor yet the dress still dragged on the floor. Today I picked up another bridesmaids dress from a different business for what the tailor claimed was a "big project"... of course I was expecting a much higher bill after my unpleasant experience with Happy Tailor but no, not at all. This reminded me of how much Happy Tailor ripped me off. Nice people but very poor service. read more

I first tested this place with one dress shirt and hemming 1 pair of work slacks. Everything came out great so o brought the ref of my clothes from GAP. Once again they shortened the sleeves and pants to my liking and I did a little price check with another place in Wataga the other place was charging $15.00 to shorten the sleeves and $12.00 to hem the pants. Happy Tailor ONLY charges $15.00 per shirt and $5.99 Per pant. Still quite expensive when you need your whole closet done but worth it. Timely , and they are really nice people . They actually tried to understand what I wanted . Will be going back for future repairs and alterations. read more

I've been going here for 2 years. I go often and never leave disappointed. I am the most picky guy ever for alterations. I like my clothes modern and fitted/skinny. I actually got my wedding tux altered here and they were so caring. I actually came back 3 different times because I was so picky with the work. AMAZING, top-notch work! My husband is extremely particular when it comes to proper and desirable fitting of his clothing. He likes to get his pants and jackets hemmed to particular fit, and he has been coming here for some time. The owner is a fantastic and very friendly man. We came here this past weekend and he was honest about when we would expect our garments, I appreciated him telling us this because he set up a realistic timeline. My dress is all lace and has tons of pearls on it so everywhere we went the price to get it altered was super expensive. They took my dress in a few inches for me and took a lot off the length and it only cost me $130. To top it off it looks amazing. Not a flaw in sight! read more

I went to Happy Tailor to have my daughter's school uniform skorts (skirt with shorts sown in) taken in at the waist. As the name implies, the Chinese couple were happy and friendly to both me and my children. It cost $15 per skort since they had to alter the skirt and the shorts underneath, which seemed reasonable to me. They do accept credit cards. They were able to have the work done within four days. They did an excellent job. I will definitely use them again when I need something tailored. Highly recommend these super nice and high quality tailors too others. read more

I started taking my work slacks there when they were new in the neighborhood. I recommended them to a lot of people. I had problems but overlooked them. Not a Happy Customer now. I took in some slacks to be sewn 2 weeks ago. 4 quick seams. That's it. He complained about the twisty, crappy string he had put in there because he wanted it back. I told him I would supply my own. I provided the pattern and pinned it to the pants because, for some reason, they can't sew them with just a basic basting stitch as a guideline. It took TWO WEEKS to sew 4 simple seams and finish a very basic pair of slacks. In addition, they took all my ball headed pins and complained when I asked for them back. Sorry - but when he tells me that "we just dropped them in our box" - to me that's stealing. NOT WORTH IT. NOT RECOMMENDING THEM ANYMORE. NOT RETURNING. read more

Went to get a bridesmaid dress taken up for a wedding in October. They lady was very sweet and asked for my opinion on everything even after she gave hers. They are fairly busy so she gave me an estimate of about a week which seemed very reasonable. My dress had two layers and had to be taken up about 2 inches on both layers. She only charged me $38. Saw all the good reviews on the Happy Tailor so I thought I would give them a try. I had 1 brand new shirt & 1 skirt with torn seam in both. They just needed to be fixed and I'm happy to say that Happy Tailor was able to sew them both up within 30 min. The shirt & skirt looked like new again and the owners were very sweet people. For the two fixes it only cost me 5 bucks so it was very inexpensive. Nice people + great job + fee = Very Happy Customer. read more
