Worst experience we've ever had at a tailor! I adore supporting small businesses, and we took some items to Amy's based on the other reviews we had seen. I'm not sure if she just decided she didn't like us or what, but she absolutely BUTCHERED my husband's brand new dress shirts! They had the tags still on them when we brought them to her the week before Thanksgiving. We wanted to have them tailored a little because they were slightly large on my husband, with too much material around the middle and the sleeves too long. Amy did not take very good measurements at all, she used safety pins to "mark" where to take in the seams and such. This should have been a huge red flag and we should have taken our items and left at that time, but silly me, I thought she knew what she was doing. When my husband tried the shirts on after getting them back, we were absolutely appalled! They look atrocious, with puckered seams, uneven stitching, and everything so baggy still it looked like a child had done the alterations! To make matters worse she charged WAY too much for the work done, and when my husband went back to her to ask for a refund for the poorly done work (we didn't want her to try to "fix" it and make matters worse) she denied even working on them at first! She finally admitted she had done it, but still refused even a partial refund. We had to contact our bank to dispute the charge to get our money back. Please, don't take your items here as they may end up completely ruined! We have yet to take the items to a real tailor to see if they can even be salvaged, I'm so upset at this whole experience. read more

We love Amy's Tailor. My husband and I have brought many things to get tailored and they always turn out great. With me being only 5ft tall, I need most of my jeans hemmed a few inches, but I've also brought a nice jumpsuit and a gown I wore to the Margarita Ball here to get the length shortened and adjusted around my torso. Amy's never disappoints! Price is very reasonable and you get your stuff back usually within a week, although I'm sure she could have it ready sooner for the right price and depending on the workload. Looks a little funky on the outside but the service is great - definitely recommend. read more

I'm only leaving 1 star because I can't leave 0. This place is a rip and Amy is a crook. Took 2 suit coats in to have the sleeves hemmed. Wanted them to fall above the wrist so my shirt sleeve cuff will show. Charged me $60. Tried them on after getting home and realized she didn't do anything. Literally. They weren't hemmed. Fell exactly as they were before with no sign of being altered. Total rip off. read more

I've generally had ok results here but we just had a terrible experience. I've taken many clothes here - pants to be taken in and blouses to be tailored; she's always done an OK job for me and she's a very nice lady. I will say, the pants have not had the most amazing fit but she'll usually do a second repair on them to get them to where I like them. I just bought my husband a nice American Giant waffle hoodie that he loved. It was $100, and just about his favorite casual shirt. However, it was a little too big for him. Both the sleeves and the overall shirt were a little too long. We decided to get it taken up. Bad idea. She took it up so far that it literally showed skin on his stomach! This is quite the feat, because he's only 5'3". In addition to that, she had done a strange flair to the sides (instead of giving the fabric the taper he asked for), so It hung away from his body in the most unflattering manner. When he picked it up, he was a little shy to let her know how disappointed he was, but he came home and basically threw the shirt away in disgust. I took it back and tried to get some kind of fix. She obviously didn't have any material left repair the bottom, but I asked her to try and maybe put some elastic bottom on it to see if we could salvage it by giving it a tighter fit to his body. She couldn't; the shirt is trash, but what is worse was the customer service. First of all, she insisted that she cut it right where she measured it and right where he wanted. How could she possibly believe he wanted to turn his nice pull over into a midi/crop top? She obviously made a big mistake and would not own it. Not only did she never consider offering to replace the garment she completely destroyed; she didn't even offer a refund of the cost to ruin Very disappointed - we will never go back. read more

I took my wedding dress in everybody else wanted 3 to 4 hundred dollars to alter my dress on top and the length.. She altered my dress for 100 dollars and had it ready in less than 2 weeks... Her work is perfect ... My dress had 5 layers to it and pearls and bling on the train ... She did such a good job ... I'm planning on taking all my alterations to Amy @ Amy tailor shop ... I love this little tailor shop. It's a small business. The owner and tailor is also the cashier and I'm sure anything else that needs to be done in the shop. Regardless she is always available to answer any question or concern you may have and does a great job. I've used Amy for hemming my trousers. She does a great break in the cuff length. She also has done my mending. She sewed my daughter a great Halloween costume going only by my hand drawn design and some photos I left her. I recommend her. She is very reasonable and takes care and pride in her work. read more

I have had a few different jobs done here and have been 100% satisfied with quality and price. I brought a couple of custom requests to sew in leather to the side straps of motorcycle half helmets to block wind noise. The workmanship was superb. I have also brought a suit jacket for alteration after a bad experience with an Irving tailor, and again the quality was spot on. You can't go wrong with Amy's!!!!!!! read more

do not take anything valuable to this woman. she destroyed my beautiful wedding dress and charged me $270 to do so. she placed a huge silver hook on the back of my dress for the "bustle" that was tacky and noticeable and so cheap looking. she "hemmed" my dress by cutting the netting at the bottom and now it is completely uneven and awful. i cant believe she ruined my dress. read more
