My husband and I stopped by Happyplace Subs this week and loved the experience! The place has a fun beach vibe that instantly puts you in a good mood. Trish, the owner, came out to introduce herself--she's such a sweet and welcoming person. The sandwiches were a great size--we each only ate half and saved the rest for dinner. Prior to even ordering a lady rudely yelled from the kitchen that the wait time would be 30 minutes. Her demeanor even made the lady at the front seem uncomfortable. I get a place can get packed but she was giving off such a negative attitude that she herself turned away so much business. The service was anything but happy at happy place subs and I wouldn't recommend anyone give them business until they get more help or a different employee to make the sandwiches. Excellent service and incredibly fresh tasty subs. We stopped in for our first visit yesterday for lunch. The items on the menu are both classic and unique. I ordered a turkey sub with bacon and artichoke spread. Oh my goodness it was probably the best sandwich I have ever had. My husband ordered the pastrami and it also was very good. When I finished the first half of the sub, I looked up and my husband's sandwich was gone. I asked if he had two halves, which he replied he did. He said he ate it fast because it was so good!!! My dad has lived in Bullhead almost 20 years and has never been to this place. While my husband and I were visiting we went here! I got the Arizona sandwich and I need to go back and get another one before we leave! My husband got the chef salad and it is literally big enough for two! ( but he ate it all ) the owner was the one serving us and he was super nice! This is a small fun atmosphere place and don't let the crowded parking lot deter you.... My husband and I absolutely LOVE Happyplace Subs! The Longboard is my favorite of the 5 I've tried, but all the others are delicious too. Unfortunately, I crave it when they're closed and hate that I can't get one after 4pm, or on weekends! Mom's potato salad is also delicious! I normally won't eat any potato salad that isn't my own, but their's is so good that I order the large size x2 so I don't have to bother making it LOL. I'm fairly new to town and have been searching for my "go to" places for pizza, sandwiches, Indian, Mexican food and Thai. Yesterday was my first day and I came back the very next day. I had the Gringo yesterday and today I had the Arizona special. The owner greets you and takes your order. She's very sweet AND she has great sandwiches! There is seating inside, I had it to go. Don't forget to try the Mac n Cheese with bacon and jalapeños! (not hot). Yummy! I'm a happy camper, I've now found my sandwich go to! FYI, I can't stand tasteless Subway! YUK! This was my first stop in at Happyplace Subs and they definitely found my happy place. The surf/beach vibe is cool, complete with a wood surfboard as a table. They have a relatively small menu, which is fine by me as long as they do those items well. They do! I went with the Italian beef sandwich which was really good. Obviously high quality ingredients. They have a range of paninis also with some on special particular days. I plan to come back on a Sunday soon and try the ultimate pastrami panini. The folks working inside were super friendly. I didn't get a chance to ask but the gent making the sandwiches looked like the U.S. Marine in a photo on the wall. Happyplace Subs will be my go to sandwich place here. This place was just ok. The sandwiches were fresh but small and kind of dry. Still, flavor wise they were good just not mind blowing. They did put in a good amount of meat for the size of the overall sandwich. Two sandwiches cost $23 and took over and hour to be made, one of which wasn't correctly substituted as requested. To top it they were a bit on the rude side and very unorganized. All that and to still be hungry after, definitely didn't seem worth it. read more

I love happy place subs. And compared to Jimmy John's or subway there is NO comparison!!!! Trish fills it up with meat so every bite has flavor and it's not just bread. There are some really interesting and popular sandwiches, but my go to is ham and cheese. The service is always friendly bec it is a family business :-) It's a cute little place hidden in a very small plaza with a super popular barbershop and tattoo shop. It's a little street across 95 from Harbor Freight. The only bad thing is you are very limited on when you get to enjoy Happy Place Subs bec the hours are minimal during weekdays and nonexistent on weekends. read more

This was my second visit and my wife's first. I had their Italian OG cold sandwich again with soup of the day (green chili something - it was excellent!) and my wife had the French Dip with same soup. Excellent food! Seating area is small but very pleasant. There is a nice "feel" to the place. Service is great and staff are all wonderful people. If you haven't been to Happy Place Subs, you need to go. She has something for everyone. I had the Italian beef, Chicago style, with an Italian sausage stuffed inside, covered with mozzarella, served with au jus and a little cup of minced garlic in olive oil. Holy crap! It was outstanding. The wife had cotton bomber panini, that was also excellent. She gave us a little side of macaroni salad and potato salad (mom comes in and makes it). Best potato salad I've had (sorry honey). The place is small but the flavor and customer service is huge. If we lived here, we'd be here a few time a week! Don't pass this by.
