I showed up completely turned around and close to closing time. The staff attendant was incredibly helpful. He was patient even as it was so close to the end of his shift. I had signed up for my first car wash to be free, it was as to be expected of a free wash. It was little more than flashing lights and water spraying. Not a single speck of dirt was removed. I have been on the fence in returning and giving it another chance, as with the free car they gave away one of the most delicious air fresheners, as if they know how awesome that is, they may deserve a follow back read more

Meh. Probably fine for the $10. But I blew $20 and my wife's car was still covered in dirt on the back (see photos) because their wipers and equipment doesn't go there. My wife and I have been using Happy's since they opened. I have found the service to be great, the staff friendly and helpful. and the facility convenient. If you take your car here, you will get a thorough wash and blow dry. It is not a hand wash job, and it seems some of the negative reviews expected just that. I highly recommend Happy's. read more

Apparently they still have a problem getting the back of the car clean, but I mentioned that to the person I paid (verifying I could go through again if needed) and he said to ask the person at the front of the car wash to hand pressure wash the back. I checked the car out carefully afterwards and could not find any fault... really nice to see transformation of my dirty, dusty Subaru Forester! read more

Today I took happy's offer for a free car wash to see if it was any better than the last. After my last visit I was contacted and told they were still trying to adjust the equipment to fix problems with cars not getting clean, even though I've never seen anyone checking to see how the vehicles come out. Today I was met be more people really trying to push the monthly service but again didn't see anyone seeing how the cars were coming out of the wash. I went through and it did do a better job than the last time, but there were still several spots missed and overall it still wasn't that good. Maybe it's just my truck, but I would suggest you see how it cleans your vehicle before you opt into a monthly service. Personally I'll go somewhere else, and I'd recommend you do too. read more

I almost never write reviews. Only when something is amazing, or in this case absolutely terrible. There are two issues to address here, and I'll start by saying that I should have known better. I thought maybe other reviewers weren't on top of things. Or too picky. Or whatever, but it would be fine for me. I stand corrected. Let's start with the membership. We signed up and went through the "wash" (more on that later) on August 4. Lured by the siren's song of $1 for the first month. Not happy with the wash, I canceled my membership through the website the evening of September 2. Got confirmation that it was successful and a message that they'd call me if they had any questions. On September 5, $29.99 posted to my debit card. Death in the family meant everything else got back burner and I didn't go in person to get my money back. Then in October ANOTHER $29.99 charge. I should have paid better attention to the other mentions of having to cancel cards to get the charges to stop. As for the "wash"... it did okay on the sides of the vehicle. Not good, but okay. Looked clean from a distance. Did not take any noticeable amount of the bugs off the front. I mentioned that to the attendant on the second visit. He gave it a little "extra spray". No change. Still a bug graveyard full of the souvenirs of last month's road trip. Didn't clean tailgate much either. I can't imagine anyone pays $30 a month to have a car that looks like only the dudes were washed! read more

I went to the Albany location yesterday 3/22/24 at about 1:40ish, and I had the worst service I could imagine. The attendant at the pay station looked like he completely hated his job, and was very short with me. I think his name was Lucas. After the pay station, I was pulling up to the wash itself. The woman, who's name was Hannah, working at the entrance was on her phone, and didn't even notice I was there. She barely even looked up from her phone when she did see me. Once the wash was done, I had a car that was still dirty. The wash itself missed every crease on the vehicle, and the back was the worst. Overall, this was the worst customer service, and the worst car wash I have ever wasted my time at. If I could, I would give them -1 star. I will not be going back to any happys location ever again, and I recommend that you don't either. read more

When I showed up they gave me a water bottle and a wipe for my dash. Overall this was a great start and everyone working there seemed very nice. The reason for the poor review is the wash was horrible. I wish I wouldn't have even gone to this car wash. It was the worst cleaning of my truck i have ever recieved. It was cool that everyone was nice, but what I really wanted was a clean vehicle and that did not happen. read more

The car wash is not bad...very gentle, maybe to the point of not cleaning the topside very well. The vacuums are super. Also it's very easy and convenient. HOWEVER! Avoid the subscription service. They make it very difficult to cancel. It's easy to "suspend" a subscription for an indefinite period of time but then somehow mine got reinstated without notice, and my credit card began getting charged again without my knowledge or permission. Went thru carwash with a moderately dirty car...came out with a "less moderately dirty car". Was disappointed in the poor quality of the wash. No better than with the prior ownership, just more expensive. Note: Also used the oil change operation...they did a good job, but it was a constant upsell of additional products and services, to the point of very annoying. The bill could have easily reached a $1000, on a car with only 15,000 miles. A lot of the upsell was not needed in any way.. So much that I will not go back! You have been warned... read more

I came in about a week ago. Then I came in again a day ago. My car was really dirty and had soda stains on the sides. No one cleaned off the soda stains and they were just left when the car wash was done, lovely. When I went a day ago, still, soda stains not cleaned. All the employees, didn't catch any names, but in particular all the females who work there, are always, constantly, on their phones. Disappointing. read more

Been reading all the reviews and I agree with the not so good ones. Took my car in for the free wash when they had the grand opening (I seldom use a credit card to sign up for anything, especially for car washes membership). Well, car came out somewhat clean. Had to bring my door mirror back into position as it almost got torn off going through the wash. Then, realized my back wiper was dang near broken off (lucky for me it was not but had to elbow grease it back into place). Someone needs to tape it down prior to entering the wash. Nope. I will not be going back there. Waste of money. They should have a sign prior to entering that says "Enter at your own risk". read more

Don't recommend wasting money on the $15 wash. I had so much to wipe off after going through and both side mirrors were pushed forward by the wash. I could've done better with a hose at home but I was trying to keep my hands from freezing. They have people directing which is nice and the vacuums aren't too bad. Super friendly girls working there! I'd never been before, but the signs directing traffic were easy to follow, and there were employees working hard everywhere. They even do oil changes! Only lost a star because of the cheapest wash being $8. Still, I was very happy to receive a free car freshener and dash wipe with my car wash from the nice girl helping me. I have always been one who thought car washes were for people who didn't own a hose...and then I heard great things about our new Happy's, so I decided to actually try it (I am, after all, in my 70's, and MAYBE it wouldn't be as bad as I imagined! :) Oh, my gosh...it was absolutely the BEST! Zach and Sully were the 2 attendants I spoke with, and each one just exemplified "happy" to a "t"! The service couldn't be better. I finished the wash by using their amazing car vacuums, and I decided that this just inspired me to start being a clean car fanatic, after all these years! I bought the "frequent flyer" plan and am loving the option to go in whenever I need to! read more

I drove through and signed up for a membership during their promotion of .01 cent for the first month. I inquired about a fleet account since we own a small dealership in town and have dusty cars often. The gal took my phone number to have someone call me to set something like that up, but after a month of waiting (and not using the car wash at all, unsure of whether or not I had an actual account set up or not), I never heard from anyone. I paid for a few car washes until I realized that one of my dealer plates worked to open the gate, sweet! As my bank was being charged for the membership. I went through a few times with my dealer plate on our inventory (less than 10 for a couple month period), and one day I went through twice with two different rigs and on the second rig the guy who was there let me know that the membership is only for one personal vehicle, and that I'm rigging the system. Like, what?? I patiently waited for someone to contact me to set up a fleet account after not using the wash for an entire month, and some kid has the nerve to talk to me like I'm intentionally ripping Happys Car Wash off? I can't access my account online and have called 3 times to cancel the membership, to which no one answered. Don't y'all want to cancel my membership so I can stop taking advantage of you?? read more

The rating stars should offer a minus sign... Buyer Beware! Did you get the whole spiel North Albany's 'Happy's Car Wash' rep was pouring into your head? Did he tell you he needed your credit card number for the Free car wash because there is a 1¢ charge put on your card right away, which will disappear later, and "It's just for counting customers", quote, unquote. When I said I wasn't comfortable about giving my card number, he repeated the info about the 1¢ charge. What he DIDN'T tell me was that 1¢ charge made me a monthly car wash 'MEMBER', and if membership isn't canceled before the end of the month, there will be an automatic renewal charge of $29.99 each month on the credit card. There were no details in writing about any of this, and there was no signed copy of a membership agreement. I should have known better! And, by the way, the Free car wash was as good as what we paid for it - lines of dirt left on the back and one side of the car... definitely NOT HAPPY with Happy's. read more

Happy's is extremely convenient. If your car is extra dirty they allow you to go through as many times as you need to. I live in another town and only used the car wash one day. I thought I ended my subscription but discovered months later I was still being charged every month. When you suspend your account it sets you up to reactivate your account without a way to prevent it from doing that. When I finally realized I had months of charges on my card it was in the middle of the night when it wouldn't do any good to call. I wrote an email to the company requesting they end my account. I didn't hear back. A week later I wrote to the local branch. I received a response and a promise to help resolve the issue for which I'm grateful. The company needs to allow clients to end their subscription without having to go through extra hoops. If I lived nearby to Happy's car wash it would be an amazing subscription, I would use their service as often as possible. read more
