I enjoy shopping at harbor freight, they offer mid quality tools at an inexpensive cost. If I need a tool that I will rarely use I have no issue buying them at harbor freight. I really didn't like this store. Number one, it smelled weird, like burnt plastic. They didn't have anything I needed. I ended up going to Home Depot. I only gave it a try because my dad loves to go to here. I guess if you needed a basic tool very cheap, it would be the place for you. But nothing looked very well made. I feel like you would buy something for 1/3 the price and then have to rebuy it at another store for full price, at a better quality. I gave it 2 starts because the staff tried to help me find what I was looking for and when they didn't have it, suggested I go to either Lowes or Home Depot. read more

I like this place. Maybe it's the smell of steel and rubber when you walk in. HF is nothing really special but if you need a tool, and this is key, a tool you were contemplating getting or a tool you know you'll only use a couple times a year then get it here. I stayed away from here for years thinking it was cheap junk. A friend of mine said she loved it and to check it out, so I did and now I'm a fan. You do need to be careful though. Some stuff is cheaply made and will no doubt wear out before the name brand stuff. If you were a contractor and made your living using tools you may feel differently, but maybe not. I spoke briefly with a plumber who was shopping here. His take on the tools was, "Hey, when it breaks I'll get a new one. You can't beat the prices." I bought an air compressor last year that's running strong; probably half the cost of a Craftsman. Check it out. The staff are quite helpful too. read more

I know harbor freight gets sone flak for low quality items sometimes but I find so many items I don't need the professional version for and just for a job or two where I'd rather spend less than the box store done the road, Then there is the employees at the eatontown location , they are happy , do what they can to help and run a clean well organized store, I buy a lot of stuff. Sometimes I have to return stuff , they have always been very accommodating . I love the store it's like my adult toy store. read more

I was opposed to shopping here when they first opened because everything is made in China. Then I leaned that Craftsman is also made in China. As are most of the products at Home Depot. Now I buy most of my tools and smaller home improvement items here. The prices are unbeatable! Paint brushes that I've been paying $7-$10 dollars for are less than half the price here! I've bought a drill, drill bit set, generator, painting products, and quite a lot more here and have not been disappointed yet. It's not a big store. More like a local hardware store without paint and lumber. Also, no plants or garden center like the bigger boxes. But they definitely have most of what I need. read more

I really like this place. Granted some of the stuff is complete garbage. On the other hand, there are some real quality items to be had. Can't believe the Bad 'Customer Service. Store was not Busy at all Sunday,02/21/2016. Time was 14:55 P.M .Looking for a sale item, witch was, advertised. I asked the cashier wear would I find the saled item? his reply was , That I" Have to Look for the number my self. Instead of calling someone to Help me. After the Embarrassment, I walked to ask another CO worker for Help.I asked the second CO worker ,wear would I find the sale's item? second Worker's Reply was I Have to give the store a Chance. My reply was fine. Worker's Never took the time to give me the correct information about the Products.
