Last straw was a simple order of caulk, (6) quarter round, (4) furring strips and (6) 5/4 deck…read moreboards. They could not get this order correct and it was 30 minutes to pick up what was supposed to be ready. I got 2x2s instead of WHITE furring strips. It took 3 to pull the order. When i went back, Juan said he would call me as they had it in inventory but it wasn't physically there. Another long wait for that. I find a lot of inventory discrepancies at this place. At some point Loss Prevention will catch on. I'm sure investors will want to know where the profit from phantom lumber is. The Pro Desk was supposed to be helpful, but if you order anyway other than at that desk, they don't want your business. Ralph is not only rude and refuses to talk to you, but I later found out he refused to help my wife load lumber. She's 5' and petite and he appears at least bit more muscular than her. He has bad manners, is impolite, and at times downright rude. Unless you order from him so he gets credit for that sale. If I spend $2k in your store for outdoor furniture, you should at least be able to be courteous and point where I need to go, even if you aren't making a direct commission off if it. Current project is ~1,000 sq ft deck. Turns out Home Depot has a Pro Desk too but they value your business. Deliveries from HD arrive when they are supposed to (100% so far). Marshall Lowes was ~25% at best, with delays of over double the time quoted. HD is double the distance and still has better delivery. If time is money and you can't brook multiple delays on your order arriving at a job site, bypass this Lowes as it will cost you time, which is money. Marshall Lowes started declining 5-7 years ago and it has dropped too far to be reliable. The only is if you are already there and need a few items and do not rely on the "Pro" desk. Especially if Ralph asks," Can I help you?" He certainly can't or won't. Read Steve P's review also...

The folks that work there are some of the nicest people on the plant, 3. Just need one bolt? You can find it like in an old time hardware store. You don't have to buy a packet, just the one bolt you need. 4. Need something but you are still in your pajamas, just pick up the phone and call, they will tell you in a short time if they have what you need and the price. 5. Store is well stocked, 6. The place is super clean and well lit. 7. Items on shelves in a logical order. 8. Aisles well marked. 9. As a former merchant, I'm a huge believer in supporting local businesses first. Not only do they have beads and…read moremasks (including boxes of beads for those will be in the parades), but they also carry a wide selection of apparel in mardi gras colors---everything from funny hats to patterned tights. Go to Tubbs to get your purses, bags, sequined vests, sequined ties, sequined dresses, T-shirts, feather boas, wigs, and on and on. I thought these were way over-the-top fashion-wise, but I was wrong. Once were were at the parade route, the clothing items that seemed so outrageous at Tubbs hardly stood out in the crowd of partying mardi gras celebrants! Next year I won't be such a stick-in-the-mud (fashion-wise) but will be out front partying down in my funny hat and sequined mini skirt! Tubbs also has some lovely housewares and, of course, it is an actual hardware store, too. Just an all-round fun place for an hour or so of shopping!
