I visited for the first time today and was quite impressed. I'm used to shopping at Home Depot and Lowe's, so this was never really on my mind when it came to supplies and tools. My purchase was small, but what made the difference for me was the kind gentleman at the front register. Very knowledgeable and attentive to my needs. Most of all, he was kind and caring and made me feel valued while helping me and after ringing up my purchase. Went here to purchase a fan , we wanted a high power one for camping and they said they had them in stock. We drove over to Reynoldsburg, walk in and see the one we want. Pulled the available ticket and proceed to the register. The man at the register says he will have to check if they have it in stock. To my surprise when he came back, he did not have a fan and said the only one they had was the one that we didn't want! He offered to call another store located about 10 miles away but we didn't feel like driving all that way so we asked him if you could order the one we wanted. He said he could not order it because it was not a specialty item. I'm not sure what that means but we left without our fan. I don't think you should have pieces of paper able to pull a ticket for a product if you don't have it in stock and also why can't you order me a fan? Aren't I a customer? As we left the store I noticed the parking lot full of garbage where a different people had emptied their cars out. There was glass trash, McDonald's wrappers just everywhere in the parking lot. It made the whole place look very junked up. Needless to say we be buying our industrial size fan on Amazon and people wonder why people shop on Amazon? The associate who sold me the item was present and powerless. Item was a cash sale and less than 2 hours old, had receipt. Female manager would not refund and the police had to be involved. Anyway, the cash register employee got pissed at me for not wanting to provide my telephone number, if you can believe it. As I said, Im here to purchase these items not give out my phone number. In fact, give me yours first then you can have mine, how bout that? Anyway, she ignored me after that, made me bag my own purchase and slammed my receipt down on the counter. Everyone knows that to some extent you "take your chances" when you purchase anything at HFT. I have been a customer for as long as I can recall the discounter being in the Columbus market. I have had some good experiences and saved some money, but I have also been burned a few times with inferior products that failed immediately, or I was forced to replace far sooner than I expected. Well, today, my relationship with HFT ends. I purchased a submersible sump pump, as my basement had 8" of water in it for the first time ever, and I needed to gel it out ASAP. When I got the product home, I sliced the tape on the carton, pulled the pump about half way out, then realized that I had erroneously purchased a sump pump rather than a "utility" pump. I immediately drove back to the store, where I stood in line for another 15 minutes (adhering to all COVID regulations), and when I reached the cashier I was told they would not return or exchange the pump because it had been opened. WHAT???? I explained that I had not used it or even removed it from the box. It did not matter. I was flat-out refused. I just wanted to exchange it for a pump I could use for my emergency situation. Didn't matter at all. Be certain that I told the cashier (though I am aware that she is probably just doing her job) that this would be the last purchase I would ever make at any Harbor Freight Tools. I will be removed from the constant e-mails, the special buyer's club, and warn everyone I know that HFT is a greed driven, heartless, and unreasonable retailer. BEWARE. read more

Purchased an electric drain cleaner. Cashier said if a box is open they can't take it back. Get home box had been opened previously, item and guide were not in the storage bags. The cashier was specific about safety issues if the box was opened. I didn't want to try something that I wasn't even sure it worked. Took it back, refused to give me a refund. Told me I had to do it on their website. I told him that wasn't right when I only bought it 12 hours prior. Basically they would never take back an opened box, in affect saying I am lying. Asked to speak with Nic's DM, he refused to contact them, was an arrogant little prick. I have always found good deals at Harbor Freight. It's like a home handyman's or professional's toy store. They have a wide variety of products for the home, auto, garden, and much more. This new location offers all of the above with the additional benefit of brand new digs in a stand alone location. The other locations I've visited on 161 and W. Broad are both hidden in old plazas and easily overlooked. Frankly, from the outside they look a little ran down, and the neighborhoods they're located in aren't what they used to be. This location is bright and new and feels much larger. read more

This is a nice new facility and the staff was very helpful. The only downfall is that everything seems to be made in China but I guess that's why the prices are low. If you get there circulars you can get a free item with purchase. read more

I love the tools and the deals, but customer service from the manager at this location is horrible. Maybe he's had to many bad customers or it's what corporate tells him to do, but he has been short with me and many other customers when I have been in the store. To me, harbor freight is a place you buy a tool, but be warned, they are nothing like their competitors when it comes to returns, exchanges, mistakes, etc. I bought some extra tools I didn't need for installing a fence. Just some simple inexpensive items. I was in no rush to return. I tried to return 5 months after purchase of brand new, still in package, $5 items and it was like I was asking for them to move a mountain. I had receipt, etc. didn't realize I needed to make it such a priority. Like many DIY'ers, it takes a minute to complete big projects and then decide what you have zero use for. Don't buy stuff from HF unless you know it's what you need because they treat returns like the plague, even when they can just hang them back on the shelf. read more

I love this Harbor Freight. It's a brand new store with a big parking lot for ease of parking. This Harbor Freight has more of everything that Harbor Freight is known for. It's very well organized with friendly people to help you. Everything is very well stocked the last 4 times I've been there. I really like the Pittsburgh tools, they seem to be pretty good. You can take most anything back and get a new one with no questions asked. You can find very good deals and some other products that you would not find as other hardware stores. I really like this store and I would highly recommend it to friends and family. read more

I needed some "el cheapo" Torx drivers, and was looking for some place close, and low-and-behold, it's a new location fairly close by, fantastic! New store, so it's very clean, only there for about 5 minutes, I found it surprisingly easy to find what I was looking for. After checking out, threw me off a little, no easy flow to the exit after you check out at the second register. read more

My husband and I went into this store tonight so he could get some items he needed. First things first.. There was ample parking which is great! The store was very clean and each employee was very helpful! We went to the second register to a lady named Michelle Smith (I believe). She was extremely friendly and helped us get the best deal on some of our products. We had multiple questions and she never seemed annoyed...she just said, "hey, it's my job." Two negatives... Exiting the building was a bit confusing when checking out at the 2nd register and it would be great to not have to pay to be an IT member. read more

Harbor Freight has some decent tools for the home or car mechanic. I had my own shop for 4 1/2 years and I had a lot of their tools that I used daily and never broke any. Only tool I had to exchange was a 90 degree die grinder whose bearings failed. I just purchased 2 of the one and a half ton aluminum racing Jack's. Happy with them. read more
