I love their inventory and prices. Unfortunately I give them 2 stars because they won't look to see if they have a specific product and I live way out of town. and know I couldn't find what I was looking for on their website. Back when I worked retail in car parts for me to refuse to see if something was there was a fireable offense. Telling a customer to drive 20 minutes to the store just to see if they sell it is ridiculous. Times have changes I guess. read more

I have been in here a couple times in the last couple weeks, looking for a variety of things for around the house, and for car projects. I love the fact it's so much closer to my house than the Eugene store. Makes it so I support this business more often now. The store has a wide variety of items, from home and garden tools, to generators, to power tools/hand tools, to tool storage, and welding supplies. They have an amazing selection! The prices are great too. I've never had a complaint. The customer service is impressive as well. It's significantly better than the Eugene location. I had a question the last time I was in here, and the manager (I think her name was Linda, but I wouldn't swear to it. I just remember her name tag said she was the manager) was very helpful. I saw her walking from the back stock area into the store and I asked her where something was. She started to tell me which isle it was on and what section, and then took me over to it. She told me about several options, and said if I needed anything else to come and find her. She was friendly and helpful. The store itself is huge. It's also clean and very well organized. I was impressed by that alone. It is well-lit inside, every isle labelled so finding something is pretty easy. I like that because it's quicker for me to find things, and that makes my time use more efficient. Would I return? Absolutely. This has been a real ho to spot. Know some of these tools aren't meant to be used everyday to make a living but for homeowners, landlords they have the goods! After helping us load a heavy item to our truck, the employee dinged our truck on 7/7/22. I called to file a claim and an employee had me answer several questions and give information. I was on the phone with him for almost 45 minutes. He said he would call back within a week when the general manager returns from vacation. It has been almost a month. They should be honest in the first place and not pretend they are going to help with filling a claim and waste people's time. read more

If I could give 0 starts I would... Let me share with you a story about a terrible experience that cost me part of my finger, $1,260 in an emergency room visit, and a whole bunch of hassle. (This is written by my boyfriend but he doesn't have social media so I'm helping him get the word out) On April 12th, 2019 I went to the Springfield, OR Harbor Freight with my girlfriend to purchase a 56in black roller cabinet toolbox. Employees were immediately rude to us about the box fitting into my truck and made it very clear they were in the mindset that I was a fool and this box would not fit in my truck. I had driven 25 minutes to this store knowing the measurements of the box and my truck and knew this would fit. My girlfriend completed the payment in front of the very rude employee and the cashier while I drove around back with the truck. In back I found 4 employees, the supervisor, an employee driving the fork lift, 1 employee helping with the process, and this gentleman who was rude to me just watching over. This gentleman immediately began shaking his head at me and questioning how I thought they should load this. I told him him if he didn't think it was going to fit then he should probably go get a tape measure and measure the inside of my truck bed and the tool box. His terrible attitude continued. The supervisor made an excuse for his attitude saying sir we get people in here everyday that want us to load stuff in a truck that doesn't fit. I explained that I had already told them it would fit and even if they need to question this and re-measure that they don't need to be demeaning to a customer. During this process the box is loaded on the lift and the 1 employee helping cuts the poly strapping around the box with a hook razor knife. Unfortunately, my hand was resting on the box and when he ripped this strapping aggressively across the box to remove it, in the process he removed a large chunk of my left ring finger with it. My finger immediately started squirting blood, I let out a yelp of pain, noticed blood was pooling, and shook my hand in pain, which got blood everywhere. The supervisor said she'd get me something to clean the finger with and came back with a paper towel, 2 bandaids and an alcohol wipe. None of the other employees even acknowledged that I was injured. The employee that caused the slicing of my finger never even said sorry. I was still profusely bleeding everywhere and about 30 seconds had passed in time, and in this time all 4 employees shut the big bay door and the man door and quietly walked back into the store while I bled profusely. I had my girlfriend drive me to the front and I went back in to ask for the store manager who I was informed wasn't working. The supervisor told me there were more paper towels/toilet paper in the bathroom. At this point, because this wasn't useful, I left and had my girlfriend drive me and my truck home. We got 15 minutes down the road and it was still pouring like a water faucet and I was in pain so we decided to go straight to the emergency room instead. Only after an hour did the bleeding stop. The hospital staff was unable to stitch my finger back together because of how much of my finger was gone. Instead they had to fill my finger with glue and hope for the best. It has since caused me to not work to my full potential (I'm a mechanic). Also, because I'm a mechanic who works on a time per job basis, one less working finger means my jobs take me longer which in turn means I lose money. Feeling like this isn't right, I contacted anyone possible at corporate the very next day and shared my story. I did give a report to one gal I spoke with on April 15th but was told someone would call me back. Not until I personally went into my local Eugene store and told them the story did I get a phone call from a district manager asking to hear my side of the story. He then gave me another phone number for corporate that actually doesn't even ring and is only a answering machine. To this day no one from corporate has called me back and I continue to call asking for assistance with no response only messages taken. read more

Staff is helpful. Never a hassle. I've always liked the Eugene store but the Springfield store is nice because it's newer and cleaner. Both shops tend to keep the stores very clean and orderly but obviously there isn't any real wear and tear here. I wish they had this shop when I lived in Springfield it would have been amazing. read more
