I'm 81 and the staff is always available to locate the ice cream flavors we need for Coburg ice cream. I tried to like this place I really have. Every time I go in it is a disappointment. Today they had a managers special with tongs on a hook, a full rack of tongues on a hook marked with the price that was a manager special, when it rang up, of course that was not what the manager special was, and the person at the register claimed "someone was trying to pull a fast one". When shown it was a whole rack that was clearly labeled according to the employee mislabeled probably by one of their customers and they would not honor their mislabeling. Everything seems to be slightly overpriced for what you get and the attitude of the workers is one that is more concerned about their rules and their policies of how they ring things up versus serving their customers. They are perpetually correcting customers who tried to put a couple of items on the stainless steel counter for them to ring up. No, you have to leave them in your cart and they have to move them and they're really quick to correct you and not in a nice way. If this is the only place you can get these items and fine, but there's got to be a better place. I imagine I'll be shopping online after this latest experience. They have driven me out of their store for the last time. read more

This place is good if you're trying to mimic poorly made fast food. This is where a lot of the restaurants get their stuff. So if you need some gorgonzola....this is your place. I never made it over to the Eugene location as often as I would've liked, simply because it was a really long drive just for that. So I was super excited when they opened this location, as it's really close to my house, my husband's work, our bank, everything. Perfect to add to our errand list when needed, without feeling like we're going 47 miles out of the way. I come in here mostly for spices. It's literally the only place (I haven't looked too hard) that I know of that sells the Montreal Chicken Seasoning. I can find the steak seasoning everywhere, but the chicken is my go-to brand when I'm doing chicken dishes. Not a big fan of any others. So there's big bonus points there for me. I like that I can buy the bulk containers of spices, as they fit in my cabinets easier than smaller ones. I've been organizing my kitchen recently, so it was time to stock up and we made a trip in here. They have tons of other stuff as well. They have the coffee syrups I use. My brother always buys his in here, as they are cheaper than most stores. They have a great selection of meats and cheeses. I love the fact they carry Tillamook cheese. Again, bonus points from me there. I'm always watching prices on things I know I'll be buying in the future, but don't need right there. That way I can research it and find if this is the cheapest place or not. Sometimes it is, and sometimes it isn't. Just be an informed consumer and don't impulse buy, and you can save money. The customer service is good. I've never had a problem in here. I've never needed a question answered, or anything specific. I've only dealt with the cashiers, but I have never had a complaint. The line seems to move relatively quick, and the cashiers are friendly. Would I return? Absolutely! The location is perfect, they have items I use consistently, prices are good as well as the customer service. This was my first time at this location. I am really impressed. I usually go to the Eugene location for some things. I like buying in bulk for products I use at home the most. More bang for your buck that way. We have a full size popcorn maker that looks like you would see at a carnival or something, and this is one of the only places we can find the popcorn packages for it along with the bucket like you get at the movies. It tastes like movie popcorn. I also get the veri, veri teryaki sauce by the gallon jug here. Perfect for smoked chicken thighs on the traeger. You can also get either bulk rice, or yakisoba noodle for really cheap to go with the chicken thighs. Oh don't forget to add sweet chili garlic sauce on that list, with siracha and add it to your chicken thighs while you are at it. Great prices on bulk meats, cheeses, coffee, flavors for that coffee, and frozen foods. We also get the to go type of cups for coffee, like you get from coffee stands. We like to put them in our trailer, or use them on the go. My son also used to buy candy in bulk, and sell it to his friends so he could buy bike parts. (He used to race BMX) he would also buy clothes for himself. That was when he was in the 8th grade, he is 21 now. I love this place, and will continue to go for many years. My Granny used to do baking and would sell it up in Salem public Market, she would buy her product to use at the cash n carry in Salem for as long as I can remember. read more

Great place, but you need to be careful with what you buy. I'm not buying for a restaurant, just the family, so my view my differ to those buying in bulk, but there are just as many screaming deals and high quality products as mediocre ones that you should avoid. I recommend their lunch meat, cheeses, and sausage, because the quality is just as good or better than the best Boar's Head offerings around here (including Longs and Benedetti's). Also, the fruit and veggies they have up front looked pretty good. This location is weak on condiment variety compared to the other Cash and Carry in Eugene, but it's a much better location. I'll update this with some solid lunch meat and cheese brands once I finish this set and go back, but it might be a while. Might even bump it to 5 Stars once I sample the steaks I bought: Rib-Eye's for 8.50 a lb. read more

I love this Restaurant supply store. My husband and his son owned a local sub-sandwich shop and they bought most all of their products there. I use to go with him on his buying trips. He passed away a little over a year ago, the shop is no more but I liked shopping there so much, to this day I still shop there; especially for the meats. Very helpful sales personnel. Brand new store! They have great prices on restaurant supplies! Only drawback is that they close at 6 pm.

Finally had a chance to check out the new Cash and Carry. What a great experience! It is so much more organized than the other location which made it fell more upscale. Easy to find what I was looking for and what I couldn't find, the staff was eager and friendly to help me locate it. This store is closer to where I live, so I love the convenience. I saw a lot of great items for my family gatherings, which would save me time and money. Thanks for coming to the Gateway area! read more
