We stop at this location a few times a month. It's located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking available. This is a clean, well stocked store. Employees are friendly, helpful and welcoming. On occasion sale items will be out of stock on the floor, but don't hesitate to ask an employee if they have more in the back. 9/10 times they do. There's always multiple employees stocking shelves during our visits. They used to advertise sales and offer coupons in magazines, newspapers and on their website. They've changed that now and only offer coupons on their website or app. They also offer an annual membership for the Inside Track Club ($29.99) where you get exclusive deals, automatic discounts and early access. Depending on how often and the types of purchases you make, it can help you save money. They have a wide variety of items here, including various tools, hardware, lighting, generators, power strips, extension cords, plumbing tools & pumps, automotive accessories, tarps, packing blankets, welding supplies, etc. They have a full list of departments on their website. This is a great go-to for knicknacks and tools/handiwork items while on a budget. They frequently have coupons, and they can range from discounts on single items or the entire purchase. I also appreciate the coupons for free items that they occasionally have during the weekends. Can't go wrong with more microfiber towels! Admittedly, I mainly get things from here where it does not exactly matter whether or not it is an off-brand item, or if it doesn't need to last forever. Definitely, if you need an item for a quick fix, it is worth checking out the selection here. All the employees have been pleasant. I've returned a few items in the past that didn't suit my needs/didn't work well and the return process was ok. I go to harbor freight way more than I'd like to admit & I might be a regular at this point. Wide selection of products & hard to beat prices and new coupons all the time. It's lit! Plus, the people that work at this location are very nice, super friendly & will look you in the eyes and actually talk to you about whatever. I really appreciate the human element, friendly service and willingness to help. Everyone that works here seems genuinely happy and I just love that! When I come here, I know exactly what I'm going to get at the right price and for that, I really like Harbor Freight. With the right expectations, nothing will ever let you down. The store itself is pretty clean & the employees were nice, just not very knowledgeable. I went in to grab a couple tools and was a bit aggravated they didn't have either item I was looking for. What they do have is tons of new, low quality tools. There's no way to defend the fact that they sell low quality, cheap stuff. A few of their bigger ticket items I looked up online and they get EXTREMELY poor reviews. I knew going in not to expect much because of the average of 2 stars on here & that's precisely what I'm giving them. If you need something temporarily and not much bread in your wallet? This is the place. If you're looking for something you can use consistently for the next 5+ years....go elsewhere. read more

I'm starting to dislike this company more and more. I've been a customer for 15+ years, and was mildly annoyed when they got rid of the coupons that were long a staple of their business. Today I was in the store and the cashier asked if I wanted to purchase a bag for my items. I declined, but asked if that was some sort of new law. The cashier explained that he thought a law had passed but was suspended, "but our company decided to just run with it". How extremely irritating and greedy! If I ever have too many items to comfortably carry I will just ask for an employee to help me to the car. I will be assisting with a person's job security, and it will cost the company more than just giving me a bag that costs a fraction of a penny. read more

I love Harbor Freight, usually, but this store, sorta brought me down off my Harbor Freight high. This store is like every other Harbor Freight, they have a large (think Pep Boys size store) store with all the regular tools and workman gear. They have wide aisles and all the tools are pretty well organized, so for the most part, stuff is easy to find on your own. That's important at this store, where the employees seem more like first-timers with little to no tool knowledge. I spoke with several employees here and was underwhelmed with their tool sense. And then as I thought about it, it's always been the service that made me come back to Harbor Freight, I guess the other stores I've been to (in other states) just had a more helpful, knowing staff. Once you eliminate the service, the actual tools that Harbor Freight sells are a bit on the cheap side, and I mean 'cheap' not 'inexpensive.' Still, this is a tool nerd's wet dream with all sorts of tools you can't see at the big box hardware stores and lots of choices on the most popular tools (need a hammer? they have dozens of them). I do miss the grizzled old employee in the silly vest telling me the history of this or that tool, but it's still better than trying to get tools at Home Depot. I bought a thunderbolt magnum solar panel 100 watt system that comes with everything you need including two led light bulbs to get lights wherever you need them? At first the system worked great, but in a few weeks I noticed several of the leds in the bulbs were no longer working. Original I figured no big deal I'll just buy a couple new 3 watt led light bulbs that's equivalent to 25 watts like what came in the kit. Well come to find out not one other led 3 watt bulb or any other bulb will work in the kits! Apparently you can't buy the original bulbs in the kit either to replace the bad bulbs. So this kit completely useless at this point. This is one of those buyer beware if you buy this kit from harbor freight! read more

Tools. Tools are good, especially if you are a male because when you are a male the more tools you can amass the better. Why? You cannot quantify an answer for that, and if you are asking that then you obviously are not a man or need your man card revoked. Tools are good. The more the better. I think that in the case of Harbor Freight you need to know what you are walking into. If a thing in there is actually made in the United States I would be surprised. Professional mechanics, NASCAR Crew Chiefs, serious automotive restorers and Bob Vila do not shop here. Quality is not so much the spirit of the place than quantity at rock bottom prices. What is good about Harbor Freight is they have some things that are a real good value. Jacks for one thing, hydraulic trolley type or bottle jacks are cheap here and in my case they have lasted for a long time. If you have a gear-head to buy for then in December this is your Disneyland for Christmas stocking stuffers. If you're not abusive to your tools then they line of hand tools will do just fine for you. If you think that screwdrivers are pry bars and that rachets make good hammers then maybe you need Sears or a SnapOn Truck. read more

Call me crazy, but I really like this place. The employees don't typically know squat about the tools or how to use them, so I stopped asking. I love their super affordable prices for essentially the same quality as the big box hardware stores. They have brands with lifetime warranties no questions asked. I bent one of their screwdrivers, brought it in, and was given an entirely new package of screwdrivers as replacement. Don't shop here without your coupon and don't expect them to find a coupon for you. They also don't provide a military discount which I think is crap, but their justification is that their prices are already so low. Whatever. Still cheaper than with my discount at HD. read more

This is our go-to stop for inexpensive hardware & cheap tools. Big selection and all kinds of small gadgets you wonder how you ever did DIY projects without! I've never had issues with the service here and the staff has been helpful to assist in finding items. My husband and I stopped by this store yesterday to pick up some storage hooks. I found what I was looking for and went up to the checkout. The (rude and unfriendly) young woman who was at the checkout then said "did you have a question"? I said no and was a bit confused as to why she was asking me that when I was clearly there to check out..... She then directed her attention to a man that was standing about 15 feet away in an aisle and asked him if he was checking out. I had not even noticed him as he was behind me and standing so far away - and I saw no signs indicating that this was where the checkout line was. I'm not sure how anyone was supposed to know that the "line" was there. If she had been nice about it and simply explained that the man was ahead of me in "line", it wouldn't have been a problem. However, the way she spoke to me and handled it was extremely rude and snotty. I therefore left the hooks on a shelf and my husband and I left the store. I plan to spend a bit more on a higher quality product, at a store where the people are friendlier and more polite. read more

To the poops that think they are going to get top rated tools and the most knowledgeable employees on the planet at a discount tool store, well...duh... I've gotten a few incredible deals, my new rolling tool box with a finished wood counter, is nicer than the ones available at HD, the service is just as good, if not better, they helped me load it into my subie wagon, brought it home and for 300$ less than HD, for a better product, I love the place. They definitely have some items that are harder to find around town, and I'd rather buy from a local store than amazon when I can. The only complaint I have, is yeah, the recycled rubber from china, gawd knows what recycled toxic waste some of the goods are made out of, I feel sorry for the employees having to breathe that sheite. Anyway, thumbs down to all the little princesses and little princes out there that are so privileged they expect to get steaks for the price of french fries. This store is amazing. If you are looking for the very best tools and don't care what you pay for them then maybe Harbor Freight isn't for you. If you are an average joe and would like a huge selection of pretty good tools then Harbor Freight is great. I don't use my tools all day everyday but I do use them quite a bit. I have had no problems with any of my HF tools and I have bought probably half the store. Harbor freight has really raised the bar on cheap tools. They are WAY better than those found at dollar type stores and WAY cheaper than any of the big box stores. To complain about Harbor Freight is like buying a Kia and then complaining that it's not like a Mercedes. read more

Staff Needs Training! I found a nice drill press at Goodwill made by Central Machinery and sold by Harbor Freight. It was an older version and was missing the chuck key, so I went to the local Harbor Freight to try to find that and to buy a drill press vise and a missing closure knob for the pulley assembly. I walked in carrying this heavy old drill press and asked about those parts. The cashiers looked at the manager, Jacob, and I asked him. No one suggested any place I could put it down. Jacob politely and confidently assured me they don't have parts for it, and the drill press vises are out of stock until next week. Although Jacob didn't suggest it I had compared my drill press with photos of a current model that looked like it had many similar parts. So I asked where was that newer version of the same tool. They told me where to go in the back. Sure enough that was the updated model of mine. I went to the aisle they'd suggested and there were two vises on the shelf on sale. I saw one of their staff wandering by and asked him to point me to chuck keys. He asked on his mic and was told it was on the very long wall next to us, but he didn't know where, and he refused to help me look. I finally found it, and it fit my drill press perfectly. I brought my stuff to the front and asked for Jacob so I could tell him that vises were in stock and maybe get his help finding a knob. He offered no apology and said they don't have knobs and offered no way to order one. The first rule in retail is know your stock. The next rule is help the customer. Team members at Home Depot and Costco walk the customer to the aisle and help them find the product. They might even suggest a place to put something down. Another standard is to take ownership of a problem. The staff here failed all these basics. All of this was after I searched their website for parts. It didn't recognize my machine. Then I tried calling their customer service number and was on hold for 15 minutes with no estimate of wait time. So I emailed for the parts and they passed the buck back to the customer service number. So I lugged this cast iron tool into the store. This company is circling the drain. Added the next day, here's yet another reason not to do business with Harbor Freight. I called the customer service number given by the online rep who didn't answer my question but said that number would allow me to order a part. After a 5 minute wait I reached a representative who told me I needed to call a different number. After waiting another 5 minutes on hold and telling her the exact part number, she said the manufacturer doesn't offer the replacement part. The only offer one replacement part for a drill press that they are currently selling. The exploded parts diagram lists 73 parts. So ... if you buy a Harbor Freight tool, if a knob falls off, they don't carry a replacement. If something more important fails, they don't carry a replacement. It's like buying from them is taking a risk that a brand new product will be orphaned. I'm never buying anything from them again. read more

A total lack of concern/caring about the customer. When I was checking out there were 8 other people in line for the one cashier. She needed a manager to do a credit. He came out and did it then left. Never trying to help anyone. After I checked out and was leaving there were then 10 people in line and I could see 3 employees just stocking shelves. BEYOND UPSET!!! It has been a long time since I've used a generator, and that I just bought my first home which has a sump pump. I was going in to buy a generator to ensure my sump pump would be going even if the power were to go out. The staff knew even less then I did about them. Of course they don't have the one in the ad that was cheaper, so I ended up buying a 500$ one. Well I asked them if there was anything else I needed, and pretty much I was better off reading the box. Come to find out after lugging a 220lb machine home. There is no oil, no grounding cable... The staff need to know more about their equipment they sell, and perhaps labeling on the box would be nice! read more

Very poor customer service...My daughter went in on June 14, 2014 to buy her Dad a hand truck for Fathers Day and was treated rudely...There was several men up front, and the checker told her to go get the hand truck...It was on a display platform crowded in with many other hand trucks...Not one young man offered to help her as she struggled...She was in the parking lot several minutes trying to get it in her car, it was heavy and awkward. Well, I know a lot of their stuff is junk. I decided to buy a paint spayed to paint my house, barn, and interior of both, since we had a coupon for $109, and to rent one was just as much, and the rentals don't work all that good sometimes. I bought it on charge card, under my phone number since I am oregon resident, but am over in vancouver a lot. This is the only store I buy at. They have lost my information several times, I did not buy the insurance since I figured it would break after I was done or halfway done. I purchased it may 30th. I did not use it until oct, when I was ready to paint inside the barn. Primed it, test spray on 1 part of wall, new can of paint, moved to spray wall and nothing. It was getting the paint, but the gun jammed. You are suppose to be able to take gun apart....NOT. Ended up rolling the place. We have working on my house in oregon city, so did not have time to take back, then we were sick. I packed back in the box with everything brand new, took back. They could not find where I have purchased anything from their store...realllyyyy, or under my credit card. I go home, find it on my Visa card statement, but they will only take back within 90 days. They sell crap, and don't stand behind it. I left it there, $109 down the drain. I won't any of their crap anymore, I will spend more elsewhere. Crappy stuff, Crappy service, don't shop there. I have shopped at HFT for years. On June 11, I went in to buy the pole saw they had on sale. There was only the display one, so went to the front and asked a salesperson for assistance, he said he would be with me in a moment. Went back to wait for him. 5 minutes passed, I saw him head in the back, thought he was going to get my saw, few more minutes I hear a piece of machinery going. Go to the front ask another sales person for help, he calls over the PA that assistance is needed by the pole saw. 10 minutes later, still no one. Leave the store. Not a happy camper. Come home order the saw online. Get email saying I will be notified when it ships. June 22, still no saw, call, they say on backorder should ship on 28th will notify me when sent. June 28 get email saying it is out of stock (had been to store since and saw them there, but figured mine would be here soon) not expected till about 7/8....call and cancel the order. Which BTW is not easy, they do not have a number to push to do this, so you have to guess and hope for the best. They need to fix the customer service in the store and the online and phone service. read more
