Boy, what a difference a few years can make. This store has steadily gone downhill since I first moved to Vancouver a few years ago. This location has gotten really good at blocking aisles with ladders, pallets, forklifts, and generally inconveniencing or even endangering customers Their customer service has really hit rock bottom, too. I stopped in today to buy some water softener salt after verifying that they had it in stock (their web site said that the Vancouver location had 196 in stock), but there were only two bags on the pallets for the product in the store. One of the two bags was a taped-together plastic trash bag with a piece of paper taped to it stating that it was water softener salt. So, off I went to find an employee to ask for help, and found the spectacularly dismissive and flippant "Derek" who informed me that he "doesn't know that he'll have anybody who can get it down before tomorrow..because it's up on a riser somewhere". So, yes, this jackass couldn't be bothered to actually *check* that there was nobody to help, ask for help from a manager, etc. He was all too happy to make excuses and send me on my way. This level of horrendous dismissal of customers is inexcusable, especially when other locations have such excellent service (such as was provided by Misty at the Jantzen Beach location). Derek actually did me a favor, though. His ensuring that I'll never step foot in the Vancouver Lowes again made me look elsewhere for water softener salt, and I found the EXACT same salt at Wilco for considerably less than Lowe's advertises it for. So, if you need any hardware, literally, go anywhere else. Don't go to the Vancouver Lowe's. It is absolutely terrible. read more

I came here on 7/27/25 after receiving an instacart order. The customer wanted BBQ cleaning equipment on isle 26. Found the 3 items the customer wanted. I went threw the self check out line and had some trouble with the computer during self check out. The employee working in self check out provided great service in assistance me with the issue. I was shopping in Lowe's the other day and as I always do, I was trying to think of things that I had to have. I approached the paint dept asking if there was any paint that I could use in my shower because no matter how much I scrub it and bleach it, it still looks dingy. I was so surprised by this young girl, Genna, who immediately knew what I needed. Bought a Mayag washer. It doesn't drain well so clothes are sopping wet when done. Repair people claim there is nothing wrong. One even called me a liar. It shakes and moves across the floor too. Well I would love to attach the photos of the tall flames coming from my newly installed gas stove (propane conversion). Obviously, the stove was installed improperly (and is dangerous) by Lowes, but that isn't the worst issue. I can not get anyone out to fix the stove for a week....I was literally told not to use the stove but they will not get anyone out to re-install it properly for almost a week. Customer service gave me and my husband the run around for over two hours. Apparently new installations take priority over me being able to use my stove for a week. I'm probably going to have to pay $$$ to have someone else come out today and turn the propane off so my kids and I are safe. read more

This location continues to get worse and worse. Constantly out of items the website says they have in stock. Product in the wrong spot when I can find it. Employees are less than helpful. If I can even get help trying to find something they look at the hole on the shelf and say we are out. You tell them their website says they have it and all you get is the website is wrong. Still showing an item that says they have over 100 in stock but only have 3 broken ones on the shelf. I have told them multiple times in the past 2 months but still hasn't changed. The place is completely understaffed and many of the helpers don't care. They will promise assistance or call someone to help you, only to quickly leave and never be seen again. Rich was the only employee at the location who consistently helped people and essentially ran half of the store by himself. Lowe's needs to fork up some money and increase their staff or continue losing business. You have the capital, don't be cheap. read more

May 6th I went in to look for a micro & range. Found a matching set. Willing to purchase. But was told I needed to get the micro space measured by a separate party for accurate measurements, no problem. Paid, they measured. Now I wait. On May 13th range delivered. No micro. They said I hadn't paid for the micro, no problem. After being told 3 times that as soon as I paid I would get my micro delivered and installed. As I rushed to go pay so they would complete their promise within the week.. I get another phone call. They said they'll deliver but not install. Absolutely the WORST installation process. And it's not even a big job! Purchased a microwave. A couple days after purchase there were plenty of these in the warehouse. The problem was with the installer. It has now been ONE MONTH. The installer was supposed to be here between 8 and 10 am this morning. No where to be seen and when we called, we were told they are unable to contact the installers. SUPPOSEDLY, they will be here tomorrow. This is not a big job, I highly recommend you NOT use Lowes installers. If you must make a purchase from Lowes, get your own installer. And calling the store do NO good. None. All I can say is wow! This place has gone down hill in the last two years customer service wise. Wife showed up to do some paint, placed an order and then changed her mind. The paint wasn't filled yet so she was attempting to stop it before they placed the order. She tried to get a gals attention and she full blown put her hand up to stop my wife from saying anything. So my wife ran around the side to check with a guy to see if she could stop it from happening this guy told her to go bang and talk with the same girl who just shushed her with her hand. Ordered wood pellets and a water heater online on a Wednesday. They claimed that they would deliver the next day. Did not deliver. No contact from them. I went online to check, it was rescheduled for that Saturday. An hour before closing on Saturday, I called. They would not be delivering. It was rescheduled for Wednesday. No explanation. The manager said there were no notes on the file, no explanation for why they didn't contact me. As there were no delivery people there at that time, I would need to call back the next day. He said he would email that crew so they would not be blindsided by my call. REALLY. They don't do their promised delivery and a call from a customer would be unexpected. read more

So if you order online for pick up 1 week in advance know that there is a strong chance it will be screwed up. If you expect to buy stuff in the store and it's on a shelf it will take 2 hours for staff to get it down as you wait. They just sit around and hang out in the garden area. I guess when you buy $4k in fencing this the kind of service you will get. Just be warned. Even getting management involved they do not move any faster than that. Customer service is HORRIBLE. I went in today and purchased an item at self checkout and could not seem to find my way out. I was following some employees to ask where i can exit since the only one near me was the emergency exit. Girl with red/brown curlyish hair and glasses followed me and was screaming "MA'AM" "MA'AM" "YOU CANNOT WALK THERE" in front of all these people waiting in line and completely humiliated me. I told her "well i cannot find where to leave" and she just ignored me and walked away. Worst store ever! I ordered a washer and dryer and they said it would be delivered the next day. They told me one time, so I arranged my entire work day around that time. They showed up three hours early and were annoyed with me when I couldn't adjust my day to get there in time. I have tried calling and talking to someone for the past hour and each time I am coincidentally cut off. This store seems to need more attention from its leadership. I have had some good experiences (Anna in the paint section was super helpful and patient with my questions!) but I have also felt ignored or misled (when I explicitly said I didn't need "Fashion Bath" items but was sent to that section anyway before being redirected to the aisle I should have been sent to in the first place). The store is just a monster. I get it, it's a big-box store, but then have available staff who know where things are, or set up a directory that customers can access to tell you where things are stocked. There are so many staff milling about at the cash registers but not enough staff on the floor. Lowe's, you can do better. read more

76th Street Store. Is there a District or Regional Manager, maybe they would be interested in customer service and new business? Tried five times to get someone on the phone at this 76th street store. I need to spend thousands of dollars and nobody cares. The receptionist answered once and said she would page Mill Works. It rang and went back to the menu, I hit 8 and 1 as instructed and it rang again. I repeated this five times with no response. I then called the receptionist again and she put me on eternal hold. Interestingly, the Mill Plain Store has similar problems with no answer, then paging and no answer. Oddly, I was told maybe the one man in the store who can help me was on lunch at 5:10pm. They took my number, let's see of they call back. Home Depot answered and I they were happy to take my business. read more

This is by far the worst customer service and shopping experience I have ever had. We had ordered a vanity for our bathroom and we're quoted about $175 for installation, the folks installing it came out to measure and said it would be $700 to install. We canceled the installation, we went to the store to see if it had been delivered to the them, it had, we arranged for it to be delivered. I took the afternoon off to be home for the delivery, no one came, no one called. I called the store, and and explained the situation, the lady said they were busy, I asked to speak with someone in customer service, she said she is customer service and couldn't help me, they were busy, maybe someone in bathrooms could help if they answer the phone, they did not. Anyway, after being told the vanity is there and they have three in stock, including the one we special ordered, there was nothing at the store (even though we paid, we're told it was there and arranged for shipping). They ended up returning the vanity and arranged to have us to purchase the same vanity in Hillsboro that they were holding for us. Guess what, a nice long drive to Hillsboro and no vanity. No one was proactive in helping us. This was our first bathroom remodel, and we had trust in Lowes. We ended up going to Home Depot nearby and had the best experience with them, no problems, lots of people working and able to help, customer service department fully staffed, and friendly! So now Home Depot is our go to store!! Lowes didn't even try, makes me wonder how they treat there employees! read more

I used to enjoy going into Lowe's but now it seems like they are unorganized and they're in stock is not very good. I went in for several nuts and bolts and what I needed they did not have enough of and the drawers were a mess. It used to be you could go in there and find an associate within two steps, now there is hardly anybody on the floor. Also I don't appreciate having animals walking around doing their business on the floor while I am shopping. What a horrible experience from beginning to end. My disabled mother just made an interstate move, and needed to buy some appliances for her new house. Considering the lowest prices I could find for appliances was at Lowe's and this location is less than 2 miles from her house I figured this would be an easy at convenient place to get what we needed. After waiting quite a long time for a staff member to help us, we encountered a woman named Mia who was extraordinarily rude. I'm glad we had what we needed already picked out because I can only imagine how nasty she would have been if we had dared to ask her any questions. Another woman showed up who was much more pleasant and so I asked her to locate another small appliance. She said they only had the floor model available and I said that was fine if they were willing to bump the price. She agreed that was fine. She took off and we were transferred to another woman. We were told our appliance delivery would be between 8-10a on Sunday. Great. She then got really upset that one of the other women had told us we could have a floor model. She made me feel like I had done something criminal by asking and having a discounted price. I didn't think this was all that uncommon but apparently I had pulled some black magic. We get to the service desk to do all the financing stuff. The guy there was ok, but seemed really impatient that it taking a bit slower to do things as again my mom is psychically disabled. Also get a lecture about how she needs to get her Oregon residency stuff switched because if she lives here now she shouldn't be tax exempt (this is literally her first day in town). I asked if we could get some help out to the car with our stuff, he loaded it in a cart and then I was on my own. Well, okey dokey. And now to round out the crappiness I'm sitting here at past ten on Sunday wondering where my appliances are. Call the store where I'm flat out accused of lying about being told about a delivery time (it's written on my receipt!!) Apparently I won't have a delivery until between 5p-7p. Horrible service. Whatever happened to "can I help you". It's a simple phrase that you won't hear there. I went to appliances but was ignored by the woman at the service desk. I sought out another staff member but when explaining what I wanted I was interrupted. I left out of frustration when she couldn't give me the courtesy of explaining what I was looking for. Be careful when checking out carpet samples. Even if they tell you they can look up your return by your credit card so you don't need to keep keep track of the receipt. That is apparently not true (at least not all the time). They may end up saying they can't find any record of the checkout and not refund the deposit. read more
