Decent Home Depot location. Parking lot can get extremely busy on weekends. I frequent their garden center during spring and summer. They carry a wide variety of plants, flowers, shrubs and trees. Their garden center staff is knowledgeable as well. Their prices are much more reasonable than nurseries. We come here regularly for home and yard DIY project materials...from rock, bark and fencing to lumber, plumbing and electrical supplies. They have anything and everything you can think of at affordable prices. We've even used their tool rentals with no issues. Their employees are mostly knowledgeable; however, we have been directed to incorrect aisles for items. We also seem to see many employees when we don't need help and no employees when we do. Strange, but true. During our most recent visit, I noticed they've pretty much done away with individual checkout counters. It's all self checkout now. I don't mind self checkout, but what I do mind is employees barging in front of me at a self checkout station, grabbing the scan gun to ring me up and ask if I want to open a Home Depot credit card. It defeats the purpose of "self checkout", and can be extremely off-putting. They should allow customers to check themselves out and ask for help when needed. Overall a nice, clean location. They could improve some of their customer service practices. We will continue to shop here, mainly for their affordable prices, and one stop shopping. read more

As someone that does property management I love coming to Home Depot to get the essentials that I need to either fix something on one of the properties or getting something to make my garden look amazing. Everyone that I have talked to a this Home Depot is very kind and professional. A couple of days ago I came in to get some supplies for a flooring project that I had to do, and I asked the workers there if the can help me find it, and right away they walked with me and showed me where it was. There wasn't enough floor boards that I needed so they looked up the item found it got it from the top shelf and loaded it into my cart. They did everything quick and in a professional way, and professionalism is somthing that I love to see when I walk into a business. read more

Nope....nothing has changed. I arrived at this HD because they are the only big box store that had the paver size I was looking for. Online, they are listed in stock...over 300 of them. Drove cross town only to find a massively busy garden center with just two checkers and a line leading back to the store. Tried to find the pavers...not there. Flagged down a staff member who had to find the garden manager...then the store manager. They finally decided that the pavers did not exist. (How about taking them off the website?) As I left I could hear a message overhead about a "system issue" with checkout. I couldn't wait to leave. Used to be one of my favorite DIY stores...not anymore. Btw, I will not be forced to download the HD app just for the privilege of using curbside pickup. Can you get more customer-hostile? read more

I was looking for a DeWalt Combo Tool Kit priced at $129 in October, figured I'd wait until Black Friday hoping it would be priced at $99 and I would buy. To my surprise, they raised the price of the tool to $149, claiming it was a $225 tool in November. No Black Friday Deals on tools unless you need batteries. If I don't have the tool why do I need batteries? They have also done away with their Closeout Areas. Very Disappointing. read more

The service from the Checkout employees was phenomenal! Shoutout to Julien I think that was their name! Whoever was working the paint counter could use a little bit of extra training in customer service, I asked for a paint sample and was just standing by the counter like a creep for 5 minutes when he says your paint sample is here. It had been done just sitting there. He points to the side of the counter. Okay why wouldn't you just put it on the front of the counter near where I'm standing? When all it would take is an arms reach for you? The guy was unkind with how he spoke to me and then I asked if I could check out there he just says, at the checkout. Like?? Well obviously...The lady working in the paint section was kind and friendly and helped me right away. Wish they would do something about the people living in these sheds breaking into cars. Also wish they would do something about the... portlanders walking out with carts full of tools. Everything is locked up and finding an associate to open the gate so you can get your battery. So let's recap, people living in the parking lot, people walking out the store with thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, and us, paying customers wanting 5+ minutes to get someone to open the cage so I can pay $200 for a battery that cost $100 a few years ago. Home Depot was offering a $99 AC service through their contractor, Air Pro Heating and Cooling. I agreed to have them call and discuss the service offer. When they called, I immediately could tell that they were not interested in servicing my AC but to sell me a new system. Why would they need to know the square feet and how old was my home. I have a 4 year old house and do not need a new AC. Home Depot should check out their "contractors". I will know better than to waste my time with their special low rates. 2 years of fighting with Home Depot, Jeld-Wen and Kraft installation for custom ordered French Doors to be made correctly( 4 time made correct). Originally doors ordered and Kraft came to remove my oversized sliding glass door and install the French doors. Instead they ripped out the slider, cut my custom stone floor, gouged a huge hole in my siding only to find out the French doors are a 1/2 off square in two sides. Can't put the slider back in as they destroyed it and my floor. Nothing like measure twice and cut once. I fought with Home Depot, Jeld-Wen and Kraft. Finally Door installed and now no one wants to pay for the damage done to my floor or siding. Home Depot skates on responsibility but contracting services and they act like they are in with you until service is complete. Bullshit. Terrible Customer Service. This location seems to be more dimly lit, dirtier, and more dangerous than other locations. This location is closest to my residence, so I tend to go here more than the other locations. On several instances, I've seen rolling ladders and forklifts left unattended (for several days) in the middle of the shopping aisles, making it very difficult to shop if what you need is being blocked. The box of screws I purchased had more accumulated dust and dirt on the top than I though was physically possible. The parking lot is particularly annoying in that the two entrances are only accessible from one side of the street, and if you miss your turn, it is a LONG detour to get back there. This Home Depot was a joke. Went in for door locks, they were locked in a cage. We asked this women who was standing at self check out if she could unlock the cage. She called someone over to do it. When they came over she complained that she had to do it and said the other worker was lazy and could do it herself. She was pissed and my husband and I were extremely uncomfortable. We get to the checkout and the prices were wrong. We showed them the online price which was 100$ cheaper. They said they would call a manager over. Manager came and said she's not allowed to price match. So we went to customer service because they said we could purchase the locked online then and there and just take the ones we had at checkout. It wouldn't let us buy them online because it said they were out of stock at the store. I find it incredibly hard to believe that they can't price match. But beside that customer service was terrible, employees were terrible and everyone seemed miserable and cranky. My last time stepping foot inside a Home Depot, It's always a terrible experience. Asked 2 separate employees about items (different), and each of them said where it was (great) and pointed, vs taking me to the item and helping. I still struggled to find one of the items as the selection was so small, so having help would have been better customer service and saved me time. Check out area was hysterical. Great thing about home depot is that they open early and close later than other supply stores. They also have tools for you to rent so you don't have to waste money for a tool that you will use just once. Hello, The Home Depot representative only compensated me for $26.95 which hardly covers the $99.00 I had to spend to replace the perfectly good Ryobi blower I had when I bought a new power head that was not compatible with older attachments. The Ryobi Company Representative will not compensate me anymore money for them not being completely truthful about the non comparability of previously purchased Ryobi products. I also did not receive a Owner's Manual in the packaging for the Curved Shaft 4 cycle "Attachment Capable" (?) String Trimmer". After 38 minutes on hold a Ryobi representative also told me that they do not offer hard copy manuals anymore. Only downloadable ones. I will have to print out my own 45 page manual to refer to out in my shop. I will be posting this email complaint on line to warn other consumers that Ryobi is now owned by another company called Techtronic Industries (UK) and does not cover their older "Attachment Capable" products. Went in to buy 2 pallets of tile. 36 boxes on each pallet. First pallet came out fast and easy. When I returned for the second pallet 2 hours later. The worker seemed like she had something stuck up her @$$! Told me it would be at least 2 hours before they can forklift out a pallet full of tile. Thank God for the Home Depot on 192nd Ave! I guess I should have looked at all the BAD REVIEWS and low ratings first! Worst tool rental shop in town. Their equipment is simply not cared for very well. They don't take any ownership for making sure it's in good working order before it goes out the door. This has caused delays in projects which cost more time and money to complete. When returning an obviously non-working piece of equipment that couldn't be used, they try their best to blame the customer. This place sucks. The cement mixer broke before we even got to use it... while full of cement and water...! The 36" trencher couldn't cut soil with the throttle stuck on low. read more

There's a couple Home Depot's in Vancouver but this one is probably my favorite. It's definitely a large store that carries most items compared to the other Home Depot's. Pricing wise they are kind of expensive but it's a big box store and you're kind of paying for convenience. Still recommend them as a lot of times it's your only option read more

I do like Home Depot, but I have to share that we bought countertop material from Home Depot and then used one of their contractors to install. DON'T EVER USE PRECISION COUNTERTOPS! We were told 2 weeks which made sense because it was a very small job. It took 7 weeks there were errors, we had to cut a piece of the backsplash ourselves. We were under a tight time frame because of an appraisal needed to close the sale. Had to constantly call and push for them to finish. Terrible contractor! When I took my phone out of my pocket to check something, my coin purse with around $70 fell out and I didn't realize. I didn't know I actually lost it until several minutes later when I went to go see if it was still in my car.
