This quaint little place is located less than two blocks from the Steamship Authority Ferry landing. We walked to it very easily. When we first saw the tiny blue building we honestly did not expect much but left happy at check-out. The gracious ladies who work the front desk are extremely friendly and helpful. They answered every question and gave us great tips for getting around, special places to visit, and eating at yummy places on the island. They even took care to change the King size bed to two twins for my sister and I. We didn't even ask for this and it made for a great night of sleep! Peace, quiet, and extreme cleanliness really helped as well. The inn has super site spaces like a rooftop deck, an outside patio with BBQ grills with seating, and a common area with a TV. The coolest perk was a common kitchen with lots of space, appliances, and every kitchen tool imaginable. read more

The place is clean but old. Outdated and lots of 'icky' stuff- as my kids said. The bathroom walls were chipped and peeling, mold in the shower grout, the carpeted floor was filthy. The window a/c unit was held in place with cardboard and tape. I wouldn't stay here again. Very overpriced for the condition of the place. If you don't mind old and yucky then you can't beat the location - walking distance to the ferry, island buses, and lots of shops and restaurants. read more

This is a complete flophouse. The room we were offered had 2 single bed against the walls of the room. My wife and I were expecting a king bed The room smelled and we had to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to the room down a narrow hall This should also be investigated as a fire trap Needless to say we declined the room booked through interval international. Interval if you care about your clientele you should delist this slum We were fortunate to have the Mansion house nearby and able to get an excellent clean and comfortable room for our stay. Resort? What a joke. So desperate for cash flow. I purpose placed a cigarette in trash can. Absolutely there was no smoking in the room. Who would do that anyways ?They were right on it, immediately charged my credit card for $318.75. Are we greedy and desperate? The bathroom sink was clogged. Who dumps floor cleaner and water all over the lobby floor at 9:30 in the morning, when full of guests? Extremely poorly run. The place is a dump, dated how can you be a resort. An affordable, spotless, comfortable twin room and bathroom, in the heart of Vineyard Haven, overlooking a soccer field, with roof deck for cocktails, and extraordinary staff who assisted In recommending the best kept secrets for fun and delicious food. From Deon's a local hangout with Carribean jerk wings and amazing drinks, to Garde East, within walking distance, a 5 star waterfront restaurant, we used the savings of a modest $250 per night room to splurge in the heart of Vineyard Haven. When we were hacked, and the reservation was not paid to them, they found us the next cancellation in a no vacancy anywhere situation. When one of us had a fall off an electric bike, they were incredibly accommodating with Band-Aids and caretaking. They allowed earlier arrival, to accommodate our Martha's Vineyard Afro-American film festival schedule, in part by luck, because our room was vacated early but in part by intention because they got it cleaned by 11:00 a.m. just for us. Someone else may have seen us as trouble trouble though they saw us as valued guests. The guy singing to his girlfriend in the common kitchen, the couple sharing our barbecue patio, and the nearby stop & shop which allowed us to have a wonderful cocktail hour for almost nothing on that roof deck were all bonuses. read more

Upon arrival, we were given a key to a room that was still occupied. While checking in, we heard one of the other customers ask if they could get a queen bed or have twin beds moved together and were told "No". Then we were given a new room next door. Unfortunately, the room also only had twin beds. We noticed ants coming out of the bathroom sink. We checked the bedding to make sure there were no bed bugs. On the 3rdnight of our stay, we felt "itchy" and pulled all the sheets down and saw some sort of bug (not a bed bug) and some ants. Needless to say, I was not very happy, and neither was my husband. We checked the nearby towns and found an Inn that we checked into the next day for the remainder of our trip. When we checked out and informed them of the issue, they told us that they were sugar ants and the exterminator was coming If you can find any other accommodations, please do so. Convenient location to Main Street, Vineyard Haven. The bus stop to several locations and the ferry boat stops across the street. If you are on a budget or just want late night snacks a big Stop & Shop is also across the street. The hotel looks unassuming from the outside but the staff is wonderful. The rooms are clean and there is a large, modern kitchen with multiple stations on the 1st floor with access to outside picnic tables. There is also a deck and TV, game room. This place was a great location. Right across the street from the ferry. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room itself is like a hotel room. In the efficiency unit we had a king sized bed and a twin bed. A nice little kitchen and small tv. The common areas were great. A big kitchen with multiple stoves and kitchen supplies and place to sit and clean. Next to the kitchen is couches and a place to sit to watch tv as well. Would definitely recommend. read more

This is a great central location. Everything is right around the corner including public transportation. When the sidewalks roll up around 7, it is great to sit up on the third floor gem of a rooftop deck. Staff is all different since last year and they are doing a great job. Vicki the "Property Manager" was extremely rude and non-accommodating at all. I asked to speak with her manager and she refused, she said that was not necessary and hung the phone up on me. Her behavior was degrading and belittling. I wish I could give the place negative stars. read more

I enjoyed my stay here back during the summer of 2010 (last week of June). What attracted me the most was the price and proximity to the Ferry. It also helped that Main St. was nearby so there were plenty of places to see, shop and eat at. Note: Tisbury/Vineyard Haven does not have an active nightlife (at least not when I was there). I think it's a dry town? Anyway, that didn't bother me and my companion too much as we enjoyed walking along the streets that are quiet yet beautiful at night. Pluses: + Price (during peak summertime): about $140 per night on a weekend. I was also fortunate that I was able to book a room just a few days before (expecting the Inn to not have any vacancies on the weekend before the 4th of July). + Location: Right on Beach Road in Tisbury. NOTE: DO NOT TRUST GOOGLE MAPS's location for this inn. My companion and I walked a really long distance from the ferry to this other Beach Road address (East-side) only to find out that the Inn was much closer to the ferry (West-side)! Google Maps failed me majorly in this case. :-( The Inn is next to a firehouse. At least I walked up a good appetite but i felt bad for my companion. + Friendly Staff - helpful with local tips and eateries. Victor checked us in and suggested brunch at Art Cliff, a nearby eatery on Beach Road. + They do have a community kitchen for you to use and store your food if you plan to do any home cooking. + Our room was small but it didn't bother us. Minuses - I can't think of any. You may get bored at night since I don't recall seeing any bars nearby but for me, i'm not really into the party scene anyway so it suited me fine. I just wished Google Maps would fix their location pushpin for this place. read more

This is an old motel that is nothing fancy at all. We like to stay here because it is very cheap. If you just want a cheap place to sleep at night, then this place is great. No pool or anything for breakfast, just a comfy bed to sleep in. They do have a patio are out front that has a couple tables with chairs and a couple gas grills you can use to make your own dinner on the cheap ( stop & shop is 2 minutes away ) and they also have a community kitchen that you can use also. read more

We traded a time share with Interval for a week here and it was alright. Rooms are smaller than a hotel room and very outdated. Place needs to be refurbished, but overall our room and the establishment were clean and well kept. Rugs in room need to be replaced and toilet did not work right our entire stay. We stayed on the 3rd floor near the sun deck so that was nice. Place is very quaint, with a kitchen for cooking and two large gas grilles for BBQ's. We met some nice people who come back year after year and enjoyed talking to them. Location is great, walk to ferry, busses and stores. Front desk manager was not very friendly or helpful, rather intimidating, although the night manager was nice. Cheap price for rooms and a good deal for MV on a budget. read more

Sandra and her staff are exceptional. Harbor Landing is a beautiful boutique hotel. This hotel was originally designed in the 1970s and has many modern comforts that make you feel right at home. The hotel showcases a full gourmet kitchen with three stoves two refrigerators and more than enough accoutrements to prepare a feast for a king. The outside has two grills and ample space for outdoor dining. It also has a beautiful rooftop that is just the place for a late night cap. Many other guest are actual owners of the units however some units are leased out as owners transition from the mainland to this beautiful Martha's Vineyard. Sandra actually saved the day for myself and my sorority sisters when we experienced a snafu with our housing arrangements. Sandra negotiation skills and ability to navigate through the complexities of tenants and owner was graceful detailed and impactful...just simply amazing. Sandra was able to house our entire party as an emergency and also negotiate getting the rooms covered which was exceptional. Many thanks to her and her staff for acting in a professional and exceptional manor in light of a true emergency. read more

Incredible place to stay with a new manager Sandra who is a true hostess with the most ness. Rooms were clean and ours overlooked a beautiful park with a playground, great community kitchen with 3 ovens and 2 fridges, super close to the ferry and stop and shop. We walked to a sea food market and got a 1/2 gallon of clam chowder for 12 bucks came back and had a clam bake while are kids hung out in the adjacent room playing board games and hanging with the hotel guests. My favorite part about this stay was the warmth of the manager and all the staff, she introduced us to the other guests and we had much laughter. My 3 year old was homesick for our dog and she arranged a dog encounter with an amazing long haired German shepherd. We will be back again! It was amazing! read more

We've stayed at Harbor Landing several times over the years. It certainly is retro...not sure if the feel is 50's or 60's. Clean, comfortable, quaint, quiet, great location, inexpensive, nice people. We like it. No real amenities. But who needs them here? I mean this is Martha's Freakin' Vineyard! The whole island is a resort. No pool. No hot tub. You won't find a treadmill. If you want exercise you'll have to walk the beautiful beaches or swim in the ocean. It all comes down to what you're looking for and how much you want to spend. read more

This place is close to the ferry, an easy walk. The rooms are small, and musty, but may pass for some. It's not an expensive place either. The front desk woman, Vickie, was not friendly at all. Her attitude made as feel as though she couldn't care less if she had out business. read more

The previous reviews said it all as it regards the hotel itself. It is old, could use updating, cheap, but clean. The rooms are really small but it is not horrible. The two stars are for the very wonderful hospitality (and I do mean that sarcastically) that we received . Me and my party arrived very early to the hotel under the impression that we would be able to check in early. We were wrong, but nothing was an issue for us, we decided to wait. We arrived there before the front desk manager arrived. When she did arrive, she didn't greet us and after about 5 minutes we went up to the window and asked about our rooms. She saw that we had a reservation and then barked at us that check in was not until 3. Then proceeded to (in a very nasty tone) that "this wont work!"; referring to the fact that we had 5 people with us and there were only two to each of the two rooms booked. She didn't even bother to ask us if he was staying or not (which he wasn't). She didn't ask questions just ordered directives at us. Vickie McNamara needs a quick course in hospitality and customer service. There were a few more rude communications between her and my party and then we eventually left until it was time for check in. Maybe she had a really bad night or bad morning but her nasty attitude was a horrible way to start my weekend getaway. Every one in my party was cool calm and pleasant, there was no reason at all for the response we received from her. I will not be going back to that hotel again. read more
