Everything went well. I had the best experience with Harbor Party Rentals. I met with Ellen and for some reason went away thinking I made a reservation for a tent and heater. I called the day before the party and found I only had a quote( my error) ! I was happily accommodated with everything I needed and the team was amazing putting up and taking down the tent! Everything was going great for our last minute order a couple days before. Very friendly on the phone. Until we had to do a last minute 40 min drive to pick up a mistake that was made with the order. They did apologize, but the day of your event it's not ideal to be running errands like that. I wish I was offered at least a discount. Dropping off I was highly annoyed as all the workers were just standing there when I was backing up our car with stuff blocking our way of getting out. Ellen and Gaby were super helpful. My venue kept changing due to Covid and therefore my needs kept changing. They were very patient with all my questions and changes. We picked up on Saturday (they are closed on Sunday's) and my event was on Sunday. My sister didn't review all the items when she picked up so we didn't realize until it was about an hour before the event start time that we hadn't received some small plates. I called and Ellen answered right away. She went to the warehouse and was able to drop off the plates right before the event started. I will definitely be using them again! If I could give 0 stars, I would. The man that answered the phone was immediately rude and bothered at taking my call. He picked up another phone call while I was in the middle of talking to him and didn't apologize. In one 7 minute conversation, he quoted me 5 different numbers and then told me I was wrong each time. When he realized I no longer wanted his services, he rudely hung up on me in the middle of speaking. All while I had already told him I was planning a family member's memorial service. Happened today 11/26/21... Very disappointed. After reviewing the website I had high hopes for renting with this company. I just wanted to order 6 round table cloths for this first event I am hosting. I host often and wanted to find a local rental spot. I called as soon as I got out of work at 4:50 pm. I wish the sales rep just didn't answer the phone considering how rude she was. I said, "hey so sorry I tried to call earlier, can I place a quick order or see if you have 6 round table cloths?" She responded in an annoyed tone, "well we're all leaving her in 9 minutes, can't you just call tomorrow? This order can take awhile..." I just decided to take my business elsewhere. Sorry to waste your time. Too bad this was the experience. If she would've said something a little nicer, maybe "I apologize, our inventory will be best reviewed tomorrow, can you call then?" In a nicer not horribly annoyed tone, I would've totally called back tomorrow! read more

My daughter had her wedding at the Newland Barn. This was the first time I had planned a complete "do it yourself" wedding. Ellen was amazing! She gave me so much guidance and was patient with all the changes! She helped me stick to my budget at the same time creating all the ambience and elegance we were trying to create at this venue. I wish I had a picture of the bar! She suggested having it under a big tree - she lit it up with lights and a barrel bar and it was picture perfect! The staff was punctual and did a terrific job setting up chairs and tables and moving things around as requested. Ellen ensured I had all the right linens to go with everything and had terrific suggestions based on her experience setting up the barn. I thought her pricing was very fair and she is incredibly responsive to requests. Super easy to work with. They let me pick up napkins early so I could get a head start on prepping for the big day. I had another vendor flake out on the delivery of chairs -- after a no-show on Friday afternoon and incommunicado Saturday morning, I called Mike and was picking up chairs 20 minutes later. Generally they'd've been able to schedule delivery if they had a little more notice, but I was just relieved they had exactly what I was looking for, right when I needed them. They have a small front office attached to their warehouse where you can see samples of the chairs, settings, tableware, appetizer towers, and other equipment they have available.
