Cute little park area near the Bremerton ferry terminal and downtown. I had some time to explore near my hotel and the Harborside Fountain Park was an easy walk. The same designers for the famous Fountains at the Bellagio in Las Vegas designed this park. They built interpretations of an armada of battleships - 6 fountains spaced out. And at choreagraphed times, each fountain explodes with bursts of water from the top, one at a time, which is also symbolic of the volcanic activity in the area (think of Mount St. Helens and Mount Rainier/Tahoma as they are active volcanoes). It was a hot, summer weekday when I visited and there were some families with their kids enjoying the water in the fountains. It's a nice way to spend an summer afternoon by the water. Yay! I'm a fan! This is kid friendly destination is just off the Seattle to Bremerton ferry terminal and next to the Naval Museum. The fountain itself is pretty unique looking. Large, volcano shaped metallic features (about 5) simulating whale blow holes, surrounded by shallow pools. Intermittently these things blow water out the top to the delight of all the toddlers splooshing around the pools. I guess wading is allowed although I would think twice with all the tots with diapers marinating in the shallow water. A nice feature to the Bremerton waterfront. read more

The Harborside Fountain Park seems more like an ornately gardened playground very nicely designed, attractive artifice, but very little that is "natural." To an extent it is over-designed. But it's comfy, wheelchairable, great view of Sinclair Inlet. The best harborside fountain isn't here, though. It's on the big staircase alongside the harborside Conference Center, thin jets of water shooting all the way along the stairs in watery emulation of leaping salmon. Downtown Bremerton is one big embarrassing dead zone sad to see failing year after year, with no chance of restoration until the parking problem is fixed. Currently it's easy parking if you're getting on the ferry, or if you're in a police car, otherwise a nightmare. But if the entire downtown was as nice as that small area around the ferry with the boardwalk, conference center, and harborside fountain park, then Bremerton would be a northwest gem. Maybe someday. But never if it remains so unfriendly to arrival by automobile, and so eager to give parking tickets to everyone as one of the failed city's chief means of income. read more

Absolutely beautiful park, right at waterfront Bremerton but hidden away behind Naval Museum. We loved the ingenious design of water sculptures, reminding the chimneys of the ship or tops of submarines. Water pots over them and at certain time intervals it blows up thru the top like a giant water mushroom. Great surprise for kids as well as adults. Park has beautiful stone work, plants, tables for picnic and waterfront views. Made my day' read more

It's a cool park and has giant pieces of granite carved into the shapes of chairs. But if you sit on them a security guard will come tell you to get off. "You know these are sculptures, right? You know these aren't chairs, right?" Alright thanks for making it a great path visit :( read more

When the water sort-of exploded out if these giant fin-like blow holes my brother got frightened. The water park is beautifully landscaped and has an awesome view of the sound. This is a lovely diversion just off the Seattle-Bremerton ferry. read more

This is a beautiful little park next to the ferry terminal. The highlight is the 5 fountains that go off into shallow wading pools. Plenty of tables and chairs for eating al fresco and the kids seem to love playing in the fountains as the go off. read more

Nothing really special about this place. It's nice but it's really small and the surroundings kind of take away from the beauty. I expected it to be a lot bigger than it was. It's really small and the fountains weren't working when we visited. It's pretty when you get to the end and have a view of the water. It's located right next to the ferry terminal and the navy museum. read more

Since this opened a couple of years ago I have never gotten a straight answer as to whether or not the fountains are cleaned on at least a weekly basis? During hot summer months since kitsap completely lacks any type of free kid friendly water parks- this is my go to place. The kids can jump and run from fountain to fountain trying to figure out which will spout water first. They have chairs and tables- although not comfortable whatsoever for you to sit back and perhaps enjoy food from the local fares. It's not the easiest location to get to, not a lot of grass to sit on, there are public restrooms close by which is a bonus and they do light up the area during the holidays- however that is all lost on the simple fact the parking in downtown Bremerton is atrocious at best. No free parking any day of the week. The closet parking is 1-2 hrs I believe. Now if you are trying to enjoy the sun, watching the ferries come and go- then face the fact you have to pay for it by paying for parking. read more

Fun, hidden gem. My kids had a ball playing in these fountains on a hot day. Yes, the water they stand in is a little dirty...but, the water smells chlorinated. There are bathrooms nearby and a Coldstone Creamery across the street. Great location by the ferry! read more

There's not a whole lot to do here, but it's beautiful. It's a great place to come with coffee and read a book, or get some homework done.

love this place!! its a great place to relax during the summer and on the 4th of july a great view of the fireworks. it hosts many kids during the summer as everyone loves to be splashed by the eruption of water (except for my scardey cat Dog) its the location of many events such as the kitsap wine festival. at night the fountians are lit up and beautiful. wether your looking for a clean place for picnic of just a place to rest your mind the fountian park delivers a great time everytime I visit read more

This is a beautiful (small) park with lots of places to sit and enjoy. The only drawback I've found is parking and close access for those of us who cannot walk very far. I'm usually 'the driver', so drop my friends off at the entrance and hobble over myself. Have grabbed lunch (locally) a couple times to sit in the sun and just vegg. Of course, you can walk across the street to the fairly new Bremerton Bar and Grill (old People's Bank bldg)...GREAT food and they have a great patio that faces the water. read more
