If you attending a busy event or convention at the Gaylord, MGM, or National Harbor, the Harborside is a real hidden gem. We stayed here during MAGfest 2026. The hotel provided a shuttle which ran 24 hours during the event and was always there in a few minutes. There was only one time it was full and we just took an Uber because we didn't want to wait. It's about a 6 minute ride and the shuttle fits 14 people. That alone makes ithe hotel invaluable. It's much further and more expensive (if you are Ubering) to get to the Alexandria hotels. The hotel itself was decent. The staff were friendly. There were police/security vehicles with their lights on at night in the parking lot. The hotel is sort of isolated and right next to a Top Golf so it didn't feel sketchy, despite being in Oxon Hill (which is definitely sketchy). The other people staying in the hotel seemed to be mostly conference attendees. Parking is free and the lot is large (a huge plus). The rooms were quiet, clean, basic, and appeared to have been recently updated. There were a few cosmetic issues, no stopper for the bathtub, and the soap dried my skin out, but these were minor and easy to overlook because we weren't really spending a lot of time there. Clean and quiet are what really count! The free breakfast is mostly carbs. Your options are coffee/tea/juice/milk, bagels, pastries, toast, cereal, and fruit. I noticed that the hotel does not have the best reviews, but my experience today was very good and deserves recognition. I was attending a vendor event at the hotel. The food and beverage staff were very competent, friendly and attentive both at the breakfast bar and our event lunch. Food was well prepared and that sentiment was shared by many of the attendees. Our reunion event was important to our class, but my experience with Harborside's management and event coordination was very disappointing. At the conclusion of the event, the manager Suelyne Brown, yelled "Get out" on the microphone to guests as the evening was ending. The committee members who were under the impression a later stay was needed to close out, and cleanup had to quickly gather their items and leave the space. This was done publicly and in a manner that many attendees found humiliating and unprofessional. Additionally, at no point did Ms. Brown formally introduce herself to the reunion committee, explain her role for the evening, or review event logistics with us before the event. This lack of communication created a level of confusion and set a poor tone for coordination. A couple of weeks prior to the event, a request was also made for a committee member to tour one of the rooms included in our group booking, but we were told no rooms were clean or available to view, which was both surprising and concerning given the size of our booking. We also discovered only upon arrival that the Portum Lounge was closed--this was never disclosed during booking--leaving our overnight guests without any on-site option for meal service. When these concerns were raised after the event, the management response focused more on defending decisions than acknowledging the impact on our guests. This lack of accountability and empathy was deeply disappointing. I do want to note that the food buffet options were delicious, and the wait staff were courteous, attentive, and professional throughout the evening--an experience that stood in stark contrast to the conduct of the on-site event coordinator. Considering Harborside is often viewed as one of the only viable alternatives to MGM for large-scale events in this area, the level of professionalism and communication simply has to be better. Unfortunately, due to these multiple breakdowns, I would not recommend this venue for large or meaningful events where guest experience truly matters. read more

Ended up at the Harborside Hotel for MAGFest due to being unable to get anything in their hotel lottery. Parking is free with a large lot that only became filled up when another event at the hotel was occurring. Lobby area is basic, having the front desk, a small convenience area with snacks and drinks, the Portum Restaurant, and hallway to the event spaces. I ate breakfast several times at Portum, and the food was decent but not cheap. We booked a Luxury King Suite, which was large for even a suite. Bedroom came with a king bed and a dedicated television. The sitting area came with a pull-out couch, several chairs, full size mini fridge, microwave, sink, and a television. Floors were not carpeted and overall, the room was a little dark and did not have enough lighting. The closet was also large, but didn't have enough hangers, and there was no pillow for the pullout. Our rooms door stopped very little noise from the hallway. The bathroom door was a problem as it was barn door style, with a large gap that you could look right into the bathroom, and no lock. It was a large bathroom, with the shower having lots of pressure and hot water, but the ceiling tiles were old and rusty. The water coming out of either sink was cloudy at first and you had to leave it run for a little bit. You have to request ahead of time if you need housekeeping. One of the biggest oddities, was only one working ice machine for seven floors of guest rooms. The machine also appeared to need cleaning. The courtesy shuttle was a huge win and was one of the things that made the Harborside Hotel worth the cost, as it got us to National Harbor several times in a timely manner, and ran late into the evening. Overall, this would not be a hotel I usually stay at due to the high costs, but it met our needs for MAGFest and our group appreciated it. read more

This hotel reminds me of ones in the Middle East. Lots of open spaces with marble, in the middle of nowhere, lack of attention to detail. First, this hotel is nowhere near the National Harbor. If you want to walk the shops/restaurants at NH, it's a 45-minute walk. The only thing worth doing near the hotel is Top Golf, if you're into that. The lobby is a huge marble area that lacks warmth or coziness. You can not enjoy a beverage in the sparse lobby seating if you want, because every table has a sign saying you can not. The hotel bar and restaurant play loud, grating music. But, if you're not interested in the music, there is nowhere else to relax except in your room. The restaurant is bright, loud, and expensive. The rooms are large and decent. King-sized beds with 3 tiny pillows. A purely basic bathroom (a tub that's about 4 inches deep). The shower water pressure was strong/nice. The room was clean, and HVAC worked. It has a working fridge, and the wifi is good/free. TVs in some rooms are Roku-driven, and some are cable. Views are nonexistent - the highway or Top Golf. I do not recommend it unless other hotels are unavailable. read more

Ok, let me say initially I would have gave 3 stars but after the mess we had to deal with, I will say 1 star is being mighty generous. When we arrived the front desk was half way polite but I let it slide because I was tired and we had been traveling all day. Our room was near an ice machine, across from the staircase and near the window where people would come and look at Top Golf. Which is a newer attraction that is located right beside the hotel. I always inspect and clean my rooms before doing anything else. The bathroom is very outdated and needs major cleaning and upgrades. The sink stopper was broken, so I called front desk immediately to have someone take a look at it (didn't want to get charge for any incidentals). They had maintenance come up rather quickly. I don't all he did but it really didn't fix the problem bc the sink stopper still didn't work properly as the sink would fill up quickly and drain slowly. We were missing a glass sliding door to the closet. The tub knobs were old and nasty looking. Even after sanitizing and cleaning thoroughly they were still just ugh. As stated the bathroom is very dated. The beds seem smaller than most hotel beds but they weren't that uncomfortable to sleep in. It did get kinda noisy at night since we were located near the window and ice machine. We could hear people hanging out near the window. They offer free shuttle services to MGM, Gaylord and the outlets. You just call them prior to arrange pickup. Last call is 10:45 pm as services stop at 11pm. The first day everything went smooth with no problems or complaints. The second day is when it hit the fan and resulted in the low rating. As stated we hung around the hotel a few hours bc the weather was not the greatest. Once it cleared up a bit we decided to go hang out. The shuttle service picked us up and took us to Gaylord and later to the outlets. Ok after hanging out at the outlets for a few hours, we were tired and ready to head back. I called for shuttle service pick up and was placed on hold for about 5 minutes. I hung up, called back and was told the shuttle was headed our way and would be there in 10 minutes...10-15 minutes later no shuttle. We called back and was told the shuttle came back to the hotel to get guests and was headed back. Mind you the shuttle never showed up to pick us up. 25 minutes later we called back only to be placed on hold again and lied to again saying the shuttle was headed our way. Once again no shuttle! Call again, " oh he's heading that way it should be about 10 minutes". ONCE AGAIN NO SHUTTLE!! At this point we have seen several shuttles from other hotels come and go at least 3 times. I have witnessed people shop and leave! Oh did I mention it was freezing cold!! So we took turns standing and waiting for the shuttle while others went into the warmth of the stores. The shuttle finally arrives 1 HOUR LATER!!! By this time we are all very upset and ticked off. When asked what took so long, the driver gives a snarky reply which doesn't sit well with us. We arrive at the hotel to explain it to the front desk only to be dismissed and given half attempts of an apology. The manager on duty did nothing to assist us and never even talked to us about the situation. I understand totally how shuttles work and busy they are but just be honest with your guests and say "it'll be about 20 min or so he's busy and we only have one driver". Not keep lying saying he's 10 min away or he came and left. I am very disappointed in the overall experience and will not be staying here again. read more

Pt. 3 There are too few if any hangers. There are no luggage racks. The lighting is "off. There is no storage space in the bathroom. There is no lighted magnifying mirror. The toilet paper spindle is wonky and points downward so the toilet paper has a tendency to fall on the floor. There is not adequate storage space in the shower for your body wash and what not. The shower is laid out incorrectly. The showerhead is at the same end where you get in the shower as opposed to being in at the opposite end. We didn't have hot water for two days and we had intermittent television service on a TV that is too small for the size of that room. And there is no channel lineup guide. The elevators need to be vacuumed daily, and that trashcan in the empty ice machine room was never emptied by the time we left on Tuesday. I have no idea what is going on with the locks in the public bathrooms, but in the restaurant one stall was locked from the inside and no, it was not out of order. Same for the public bathroom just around from the lobby and across from the ballroom: two stalls were locked from the inside, but not out of order. This has to be a malfunction, because no woman in her right mind would crawl out of the bathroom on the floor to exit the stall with the door still locked. Oddly, there is a soap dispenser in the handicap stall? My first recommendation is hospitality and customer service training for all staff. Learn how to greet people. Learn how to answer the phone. Learn how to say yes and no and not uh-huh. Smile. Cut your fingernails to a pleasant business length. Muted makeup not Halloween makeup. The lobby furniture is too low to the ground. Everyone who comes to your hotel is not going to be 30 and under or able-bodied. Think of your customer who is 60, 70... 90. read more

The location, food and ambiance were acceptable. I was there on a Sunday as the band for the jazz brunch was winding down. Mercifully, I didn't arrive during the height of the performance because as good as the band sounded, the volume was ridiculous. I don't know how anyone could find a dining experience enjoyable while having to yell at people less than 3 ft from you at a table to be heard. The children who were there probably have hearing loss. I seriously doubt I will return any time close to the jazz brunch. read more

I visited Harborside Hotel after a day party in the MGM. It was not packed and it was around 8pm. Half the bar was empty and half of the tables were occupied. We sat down on the empty side of the bar and waited for an available bartender. Well, we tried to. Problem #1: there was only one bartender for the entire restaurant. Please let me preface that I totally understand the constraints establishments have with employees during the pandemic. I'm totally supportive and understanding. However, this was not that. They weren't packed at all. Since my friend knew the manager of the restaurant, he was able to alert them of the slow service transpiring. Nonetheless, we were able to get our order in after waiting 20 minutes or so. It took probably an additional 30 min to receive our meals. My burger was cold. The tots were hot. I was so hungry at that point, I just ate the food. I'm unsure if I have the desire to visit again. A lot of changes will need to be made first. read more

If zero was an option - it would be that. A sales employee was beyond inappropriate, rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. When asked what her name was- she HUNG UP. She raised her voice, would not let me speak and then had the audacity to say "you aren't letting me speak." This woman raised her voice at me for over 4 minutes straight. After she hung up, I called back and asked for the manager of sales - I was transferred, left a voicemail and never heard back. She did not like what I had to say, I called her out on the misinformation that was given. I kindly asked her to pull the phone call to prove my point she said "we don't have that." BS!!! I haven't even checked in yet and that was the initial experience. Stay far away from this place. If this is the initial encounter could you imagine what it would be like in person! Truly disgusting. Company paid for a stay here recently so I was excited to check out the place. Been in the restaurant/bar many times but never upstairs to the redesigned rooms. The rooms weren't all that memorable under previous brands/flags or management. It was "The Lexington" prior to it being a "Best Western" and who knows what all else. This property appears to be more in line with the high end image National Harbor is attempting to project over the last several years - even though this hotel is technically located in Oxon Hill. They're going for that Miami SoCal flavor. They did a good job. Service and decor is impressive. The prices reflect that too...lol. I didn't try the breakfast although it appeared inviting from the glimpse I got. Maybe next time. read more

The hotel was nice but there must have been a middle school field trip when I went. The floor I stayed on was full of middle school kids that you could hear yelling and running in the halls early in the morning and late at night. I notified the front desk but the noise never ceased. The front desk employees did not seem to care much about the noise. When I checked in they had me sign a waiver that stated that I would not be throwing any parties while I was staying at the hotel. I guess middle school kids yelling and running around the halls does not count in regard to noise issues. Also, when I tried to call the front desk from the room phone they would answer and hang up. The hotel was not near any public transportation access points. The only thing near the hotel was Top Golf. The hotel did offer a shuttle service but only to the national harbor, mgm casino, and the mall. I spent most of my money on uber transportation to get to and from the hotel. read more

Traditionally I stay at the National Harbor when I am in this area. I decided to give Harborside Hotel a try because there wasn't an additional cost for parking. They also included breakfast in their rates. I checked in on a Friday and checked out that Sunday morning. This hotel has a full club. Like. Club club. After a long day and night, I arrive to the hotel late Friday night to find that the parking lot was packed because of the club. As a paying lodging customer, I had to park very far in an area of the lot that was not well lit. I was completely annoyed. I did appreciate that there was a police officer parked in that area of the lot. I walk in the lobby and there were people everywhere. The music and bass was concerning. Actually, I had mixed feelings. I was so exhausted that I was concerned that I would hear the music and bass in my room. I was also intrigued. If I was not so tired, I would have checked out the club. I appreciated the option of having a bar downstairs. My room was on the 6th floor right across from the elevator. The music came right up the shaft and I could hear the music. The great news is that I was so tired that it didn't bother me. I was however bothered by the noise of hearing each person who got off the elevator. They were drunk, loud, running into walls, etc. Again, very annoying. I finally began to go to sleep and a fight breaks out in the hallway. I get up to pack my stuff. I called the front desk to let them know I was checking out. They offered me another room to try first. While they were working out where they were going to move me, you can hear security come upstairs and break things up. Edward and Crystal did an amazing job with expediting my move to a higher floor at the far end of the hallway. They were very apologetic and accommodating. The rooms are pretty nice. They have a sleek look to them that made me feel comfortable. The beds are high and comfortable. The location is in a key area to the major highways, national harbor, casino, outlets, etc. The breakfast was interesting. It was great to have the option to have a hot breakfast. The first morning I went, they ran out of food. The wait for potatoes, sausage, etc. was over 30 minutes. I offer them grace because there was a cheerleading competition. Food probably went quicker than expected. The next morning, they were out of hot food again. I ended up eating fruit loops and calling it a day. Overall, this is not my scene. I need peace and quiet. For me, it is worth paying the additional money for parking and food at the Westin, Gaylord, or Residence Inn at the National Harbor. read more

Overall, good hotel experience, but it was like staying at two different hotels. Lobby and restaurant were nicely appointed. Breakfast area (included) seemed a bit spartan, but there staff were nice and the food was pretty good. The rooms were a mixed bag. it was like certain things were changed out in a remodel and other things weren't. Some aspects of the room were dated. Staff, including the front desk guy Robert, were very nice and accommodating. Not likely to stay here again, mainly due to not traveling to that area much. read more

I am a traveling critic and reviews are what I do. My stay was May 7-9, 2024. I am appalled that racism, bias and discrimination is still a thing. Upon arrival, your overnight concierge (African American bald guy) racially profiled my partner and I. He automatically assumed that we were in the wrong place because a snoring man in the lobby had caught my attention first. Before I could say anything he goes on to say that the property was sold out of rooms. Once I got over the initial shock; I said that I had made reservations a hour prior and I'm just checking in. His face went from surprise to disgust in less than a second. I grabbed two cup of noodles and was set to go to the room. There was a pause after he handed me the room keys as I'm waiting for directions. He assumed that I had been there before and stated, "you've been here before, you know where the elevators are". I said, "sir no the hell I haven't and no I don't". His statement made my partner very uncomfortable because your concierge said it with conviction as if he had seen me before. He goes on to give us directions and we head upstairs to prepare our noodles, only to find out that there were no utensils. I called the front desk and asked if he had utensils and he said yes. I went back downstairs and asked why he didn't give them to us when we got the noodles. He handed me the utensils and walked away without answering my question. It's one thing to experience racism and discrimination from other races. It hits ten times harder when it's from someone of the same race. I am appalled by his disrespect, performance and audacity. His statement could have caused an issue between my partner and I. If I weren't so tired I would have left. To add on to this , the housekeeping staff kept knocking on the door while we slept. I'm sure they were aware of our check in/checkout time. When I opened the door she laughed and said sorry. But did it again. Nothing was funny about my exhaustion.. it would have been nice for them to show up before checking in because the table was dusty and there was hair under the top sheet of the bed. On a positive note; the location was excellent and the view of the golf course made it beautiful at night. The concierge by the name of Chiquita could see my frustration and exhaustion and went above and beyond to make our stay better. She deserves recognition and a promotion. If it weren't for her I would have left after the first night. We should discuss refund options. read more

They take this pandemic very seriously! So please prepare to wear your mask and sanitize everything that you've touched and about to touch. We picked this hotel after the West Virginia trip. We thought the location is close to Hubby's friend but then realized his friend lives on the other side of the town. The location is right on the border of Maryland and very close to Virginia. Although the location is quite isolated, the hotel itself is nice, modern, and elegant. The restaurant and lounge in the lobby are temporarily closed. Unfortunately and the sad part is that this hotel doesn't have a swimming pool! Something that I always look forward to is swimming, but the front desk staff told me they removed the pool. Why? The gym has better machines compared to most hotels. The machine says "Green" so let's check that out. I checked and the price is more than 5K per machine, so ok, forget about buying one for myself. We saw one or two guests. It was so quiet. Next to the hotel is a golf club and that club had many attendees. The room includes pretty much everything such as a fridge, safety box, tv, coffee maker (keurig!), comfortable bed and couch, and a clean bathroom. Very nice! read more

The customer service was exceptional. Our waiter brought us delicious dinner. Our room was very clean with a comfortable bed, and the cleaning staff was kind enough to retrieve and mail back my charging cord when I accidentally left it there. The shuttle driver was right on time when I went to the Tanger Outlet. Kindness is the best hospitality you can give. read more

This hotel has lots of potential because of its location and shuttle to and from MGM, Tangor Outlets, and the Harbor. However, they have not mastered the concept of service. First, I had no coffee or coffee creamer in the room, and was told I could come to the front desk to pick up the coffee, however they were out of creamer. This weekend was a major event being held there, Mckinley Tech Class of 74's 50th Reunion. No coffee or creamer, or tea and telling me to come down to get just the coffee, was a mistake. Room service went directly to voicemail, with no return call. Recording said mailbox was full. The television/cable service was non existent. No simple free or complimentary channels. When I ask the front desk for assistance or a listing of channels they offered, I was told to just surf. Also, hallways very dark. Please, pay attention to small details that make a huge difference. Stopped by here to enjoy live music and drinks in the bar per a family recommendation. TERRIBLE. All of the tables in the restaurant were reserved so we were sat in a back area near the restroom and were told there weren't servers for that area. We made our way to the bar to get our own drinks. 20 minutes for 4 drinks- overpriced and not worth it. We spoke with the manager and recommended that they let people know to call and register she stared blankly and let me know she had been working at the hotel for 3 weeks. She rolled her eyes and wasn't very helpful. This place has the potential to be great based on live music and just the location but I would keep going to top golf. read more

This hotel was great! The employees are so nice, the shuttle service was tremendous life saver. The breakfast was bomb. The bed was insanely comfortable and clean, I really wanted to bring a couple of those pillows back home with me. I just wish the gym had more room and more equipment, That sauna would've been nice to keep around too. When I get the chance to travel that way for fun... Ive been a regular at Harborside for almost a year now... the past few times ive been there (including tonight and during the holiday season) they have been packed to capacity. I am sad to know Portia is no longer there and will miss her (she was friendly, knowledgable, attentive and always knew thr drinks i enjoyed, when i needed my drink refreshed and my fav food to order off the menu) i will admit Jasmine and Boo are awesome bartenders. But i do miss Portia. Service was slower than udual tonight but it was SUPER packed in there. Sorry no pics to provide, it was so packed there were no seats. Also, i forgot to mention, there's a live dj on fridays and Saturdays.... i love this place! Only complaint, service is extremely slow om busy nightz (like tonight) and their bbq wings..way too wet...HOWEVER, i do love their thai chili wings read more

Very nice hotel! Room was very spacious and clean. They even had sanitized on the room to let you know it was cleaned along with the remote in a sealed plastic. The reason for the 3 star is the trash shuttle. They have a free shuttle that takes you to the harbor, MGM and the Tanger Outlets. We took the shuttle to the National harbor. When we were finished, we called the hotel for it to pick us up. We called 3 times before they came. It took an HOUR!! Mind you the drive is only 10 mins away. We were given the excuse of "it was traffic" which was a lie and "I came through twice but the valet wouldn't let me through". Which was BS. The driver never even apologized. I really like the hotel room but don't use the shuttle if you're in any kind of hurry or actually want to enjoy the room that you paid for.. read more

Horrible. Walls so thin everytime the door next door closed the walls of my room shook. Music and bass from bar blasting at night woke me up and kept me up. Unusable desk - so small, had to move the coffee maker and desk lamp off it to be able to place my computer. Never coming back and will spread the word. The worst. UPDATE: Was moved to a room on the 6th floor further away from the bar. Still heard the noise and felt the vibration. Staff was nice and helpful but still the worst place ever. read more

On the outside, this seems like a nice hotel. It's when you get to your room that things get weird. The hotel seems to be the victim of a bad renovation. The air conditioning is a wall unit that's at least 20 years old and has mechanical buttons. This gave me something around less hot. The bathroom. Oh, the bathroom. What happened here? So the shower is one of those built-in tile designs where there is no door. This would be neat, except this just means that water goes everywhere on the floor of the bathroom rendering it useless until it dries, later that day? Who knows. There are no shelves in the shower, so nowhere to put soap, nowhere to put towels. They were all just stacked on the sink, which would be fine unless you wanted to use the sink. You're going to need them to dry off the floor now so you can go back in the bathroom. The ceiling is still all that 70's drop ceiling you'd see in an office. It's solidly just ok. I wouldn't stay here again. read more

I really want to give this place a 5. They do get a 5 in the following area: music, bar, cleanliness of the lobby and the friendly staff working behind the desk. Maria in the breakfast area was awesome. That would be it for the 5. Once you leave the first floor the renovation seems to have stopped. 1. WiFi goes in and out 2. Cable TV goes in and out 3. Carpet in the hallway and elevator dirty. 4. Staff in the breakfast area had there own conversation going on in the corner and left dirty dishes on the table and never ask for the meal tickets. 5. The coffee station was out of mugs, cups with lids, and the tin can wasn't label. How do you figure out what is hot water, def caffeinated and such. Also, there seems to be a party atmosphere on Saturday . This cause a parking problem for the guests. They also had event at the hotel and still parking issues. If you choose to stay here read the reviews the picture has somewhat of deception in my opinion. Would we stay here again not sure. This was a lot to deal with for 5 days read more

DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!! (See pic) My brother had his wedding at the hotel on August 4th. The experience for our family should have been a great one. However, it was terrible-from the nasty, stained carpet, people smoking marijuana, no cable, and ROACH in my room. The hotel manager on duty was called along with the head of housekeeping. The manager said I would have to contact the office manager. Well, I contacted both Vincent washington and Natasha Parmes which yield no response from either. Very disappointed, I contacted them again today-finally Mr. Washington gave me a bogus story about him sending me an email, which did not occur. My family was not happy with the accommodations. This review is about the BAR/LOUNGE. I went here for the first time this past Thursday for jazz night and was pleasantly surprised. I've lived in the area for years so I've seen the various changes this hotel has undergone. I ate and drank at the bar. The bartenders were very attentive. We had a decent stay in DC at the Harborside Hotel. Wonderful interiors, very good service and some excellent complimentary breakfast. Very reasonably priced too for a luxury hotel. My only qualm was that I was staying on the 6th floor and two of the elevators were not operating, the hotel staff and customers had to share one elevator, making the wait sometimes unbearable. There are no stairs to get to your room, only an emergency stairwell. The issue is if you have the only means to get to your room limited it makes the overall experience displeasing. The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful, no issues there, but at nighttime the neighboring rooms had loud customers constantly waking us up, and no security to correct the situation, the issue actually got worse. Maybe it was a one time issue and I'm willing to give this hotel another chance if I happen to visit. read more

My recent experience at Harborside Hotel was great overall. Below are some highlights: The goods: The lobby is area is shiny, modern, super clean and welcoming! Staff service was mostly great, especially Alvin (front desk) and Andres (the shuttle driver). Very hospitable and always gave stellar customer service!! The room was clean, I like the white, soft sheets and pillows!! :) Bathroom was clean and towels were neatly folded. I asked for no housekeeping during my stay and they listened! Yayyyyyy! (Another review said they walked in anyway. Just let them know you don't want the service and make sure to place the "do not disturb" sign outside the door!) Breakfast was amazing! And the banquet/breakfast staff (all of them) were so sweet and hard-working. They literally acknowledged every guest that walked in every morning. Kudos to them! Good location! Nearby freeway entrance, restaurants, grocery store (Safeway, Wells Fargo, MGM, Tanger Outlets) Shuttle service to Outlet and Convention Center (Gaylord) was great too. I appreciated this service so much!! Improvements needed: For sure, elevator upgrade. Kinda creepy. Thin walls makes it a bit hard to sleep, I can hear people talking in the hallways and even from the next room. Room furniture was a bit dusty when I came in on the first day. Carpet was a bit dirty :( I couldn't bring myself to walk barefoot comfortably, so I didn't. Shuttle service (maybe at specific times of the day/night) to [DCA] airport would be amazing (would've earn the 5th star here) The air-conditioning/heater I couldn't figure out, it never got warm, just cold the whole time so I slept with it off all week. The ladies at the front desk during morning and day shift were professional, but short with words, not so welcoming or conversational to guests. :( Overall, I think the price (I had a double room for 4 nights) is a bit too high $$$ based on my total hotel experience. However, I would definitely recommend this hotel if you don't mind the price (close to $1000 for 4 nights) and all the negatives listed above. One of my regrets was not taking advantage of the Sunday brunch, Thursday and Friday events and eating at the beautiful restaurant downstairs. Vibe looked fun, good music and food looked delish! Well some you give it 3 stars but I kicked in an extra star because the DJ at the bar is on pont. No other hotel I've been in parties like this. I attended the wine festival and hung out with friends but when I came baci to the hotel I was surprised there was a party at the bar are. Good beverages and great company from all walks of life. Every one having a great time. The hotel was clean and nice and cheaper than the Gaylord. I was very impressed when my wife asked for napkins from one of the bar staff members who was taking out the trash and he took the time to stop, wash his hands, dry them just to give her some napkins.... If you're ever in the Baltimore more are consider this hotel. The staff treated us like kings and queens......oh, I forgot to mention they include a full buffet breakfast. None if that continental breakfast here.....! read more

I just recently stayed here for a week for work, so feel like I have a good idea of this places' plusses and minuses. This hotel is a newly renovated hotel that started life as a Clarion hotel. It's located in Oxon Hill near MGM National Harbor and of course, National Harbor Positives- * Very clean. They kept my room very clean. Also, the hotel bar and restaurant was very clean. The barkeeper made me wait to sit as she wiped the bar, and I couldn't see anything there! She was just that conscientious. *Mostly good food and drink. They have a complimentary breakfast that is good, with the eggs being an exception. Be ready to show the card given to you with your room keys at breakfast. The food at the hotel lounge is good too and creative. The Caesar salad I had one night had a very unique presentation. *The elevators are fast. I never had to wait hardly at all to catch one in the lobby. It's like they teleported to you. *convenient. Close to the highway and also National Harbor. Lots of parking Minuses- *Thin walls- I know the current owners probably bought an existing building and renovated and had no control over this, but the walls are really thin. You will hear louder cars from the road if you are on that side of the hotel. You will also hear your neighbor talking next door. You may want to get a room on the parking lot side to eliminate one of the sound sources. If you are staying here and want to stay up late talking, you might want to consider hanging in the lounge to do so to help your neighbors sleep. *heat seemed very hot- the unit in my room was an older push button type and seemed to make it sweltering. I ended up just turning it off and was comfortable. Other rooms have digital units, so it may have just been me. Others in our group mentioned the heat too though. *Fitness center was still being renovated when we stayed there. TLDR- in short, I would definitely stay here again, in an end unit on the parking lot side if available. Good value and clean convenient place. read more

Upon being double charged the room fee without explanation, I sought to fix what was obviously a simple clerical error. After speaking with three different people over the course of a week trying to resolve the matter, with each person assuring me the extra charge would be reversed, I finally received an email from an employee who insulted my character and fabricated a story in an attempt to justify the charges. To the potential new victims of these thieves, I tell you there's a lovely casino down the street which is in a far better part of town. You may even be treated like an actual hotel guest there. Some unlisted features of this hotel: 1. About a dozen "Lock your vehicles, Hotel is not responsible for stolen goods" signs littered about the property. 2. Frequent police cruisers patrolling the street in front of the hotel with their lights on. (If you know what this signifies, you understand the state of the surrounding area.) 3. Before my experience on 8/3/2019-8/4/2019, I'd given 5 stars. I booked a room for friends and I to celebrate my best friend's birthday at the hotel nightclub w/o worrying about driving home. One guest left b4 breakfast leaving 3 of us entitled to a complimentary breakfast. We got turned away from breakfast and told that we needed breakfast tickets. We went to the front desk to get tickets. I asked for 3 tickets. The clerk said I could only have 2 since I checked in with 2 people. I told her that nobody asked me how many would be staying. I asked her if it cost more money if 4 people stayed in the room; the room sleeps 4. She said it did not cost more but that since I checked in with only 2, I would have to pay for the 3rd complimentary meal. I asked for a manager as clearly that was dumb. She said she was the manager. The guest behind me overheard and stepped in and said "In order for both of you ladies to have a blessed Sunday, can I give this guest my breakfast tickets since I won't be using them?" Now this is the entire ghetto part... The desk clerk/manager said "That will be fine. I was just about to give her a free ticket anyway." SO WHY DID THE MANAGER GIVE ME A HARD TIME AND CREATE DRAMA AND A SCENE WHEN NONE WAS IN ORDER? SHE KNEW I WAS DUE 4 TICKETS YET I ONLY REQUESTED 3. SHE DID THIS TO EMBARRASS ME. This was on top of the fact that the shower had no hot water, there was a dead roach in the shower and we had no cable tv or regular tv in the room. GHETTO! Do better! read more

Just a heads up to everyone that you cannot walk to the harbor from this hotel. The harbor is a short drive away and the hotel does provide a shuttle service which is nice. The shuttle will also take you to the MGM casino and the shopping outlets. The staff is very nice, our room was clean, and the free breakfast was good. Be warned though that this is a very basic hotel. The outlets in our room were terrible, the TV wasn't great, the phone didn't work, and there was rust on the bathroom ceiling. The gym has only a couple of cardio machines and one cable machine. If you're just looking for a bed to sleep in this place will due but I wouldn't stay here for a vacation. read more
