From jewelry to crystals to succulents and art, there was something for everyone at the Miami Flea. They also had live music which was super festive and a bar with cocktails. The cocktails were from Mac's pub and super refreshing and tropical. Some of my favorite vendors included Martha of Miami with her Miami AF merchandise, Wagboss and La Succulenta. I left with inspirational jewelry from lucky bee, and a full heart from all the Local love that was going on that day. Aside from the shopping they also have a section for food. I didn't try, but the options were varied and looked delish. Parking can be tricky. There's a few cash lots around but I got lucky with street parking near by. The Miami Flea is a fun spot to support local! Shout out to all the small biz owners following their dreams and making Miami a truly unique place :)

It would be cool if they opened the application up to one-time vendors or pop-ups. I wouldn't really make it your main destination for the day, but just a short stop to somewhere else in downtown or Wynwood. I've only purchased food like coffee, macarons, etc. here. Never saw any stuff I actually wanted to buy. The vintage stuff vendor is pretty cool though. It's great for people watching and chilling because a variety of characters show up.

The art festival this year was awesome, 3 stages with different music and all the bands were great. There were a lot of food trucks & individual food vendors to choose from. However, we chose to sit and eat at a nearby restaurant so we wouldn't have to stand since we were with the family and dogs. The weather cooperated perfectly, and the Festival was a hit. Lots of people brought their dogs, and it was so nice to be able to see them all socialize. There were booths specially geared towards dogs with treats, toys, and accessories. The only thing sad was seeing dilapidated Sunset Place next to the festival, but that soon will get demolished and will be something beautiful again. This festival is very relaxed and the people that attend are also this way, adding to a wonderful overall experience.

It is perfect because you do not have to worry about seeing or being near cars and too much noise or traffic. After a long while of construction, Giralda is now completely pedestrian on restaurant row. There are so many restaurants on this street, and on the first Friday of each month the area comes alive with live music, outdoor bars and of course outdoor seating at all the restaurants. The new construction on Giralda is beautiful, and its a wonderful way to bring the community together to enjoy everyone's favorite things - good local food and flowing drinks (or maybe that's just my favorite). Thanks to Prism, there is live music from local artists. It's fun to listen while you dine, or just to enjoy with a cocktail. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation for dinner if you don't want to wait, as when I went recently it was packed! However, if you just want to enjoy some drinks and walk around - there are a few outdoor bars where you can get your adult beverage on. There's street parking around restaurant row, and parking garages nearby as well. I'm so happy to see Giralda transformed. Definitely make it a point to support this monthly event, as these lovely local businesses on this street waited a loooong time for this project to be completed! Josette S. posted the event, and this was my second time at Chef Allen's Farm to Table dinners, since I'd previously indulged at an Elite event a few years back. There is still free parking across the street. The dining area had various farmer market booths around selling vegetables, jams and a tasty cherry Italian ice. To a carnivore like me, salads are typically just the app or first course, but as a vegetarian meal everything was a salad. We started with a family-style plate of various (yellow, red, and roma) tomatoes and fried okra. I found out veggie dishes can be fried! The third course of roasted potatoes and red peppers along with a cool yet spicy red pepper hummus. This contained my usual veggie plates so it was easily my favorite! Main course was a piece of eggplant parmesan with just the right amount of tomato, cheese and a side of wild rice. I ate most of the eggplant "meat" but left the skin. The second course, other than the shredded carrots, was the one I could have passed on. Like President Bush, Broccoli wouldn't be prudent, not gonna do it.. Dessert was a rich, not overly sweet, piece of chocolate brownie. Though I said in was going to be a troll and have a burger afterward, I was actually satisfied! Chef Allen himself spoke the first event I went (during the elite event) giving a history of how each dish related to the dinners theme. However, he wasn't there at Monday's event so we missed out on that. Still, the manager and staff from the Books and Books cafe were very pleasant and informative. I'd definitely give the cows another break sometime.
