I purchased one of those old time plastic popcorn holiday decorations that were massively popular in the 70s. My mom had many of these for the holidays and I've managed to uncover a few of them for my house. It always makes me think of her. On this visit, I saw a very unique one that was a hippie love sign. It was a little out of my price range, but my kids insisted I go back and get it. I reluctantly agreed, and the shopkeeper was so nice to let me get it despite actually being closed. She told me these signs used to cost $2 a piece. I definitely paid a lot more than that! But am so happy whenever I see it in our window.

This laundromat was open on Thanksgiving, was very clean and had reasonable prices. The laundromat was very large and had regular/high efficiency washers and industrial dryers. The building is a bit older, but the machines are newer and well maintained. This place does not have a restroom, TV or WIFI, so come self-sufficient, especially if you are waiting there for your laundry. They do have snack/drink/laundry supply vending machines though. I was in and out and back on the road in a little over an hour. There is parking right out front of the laundromat and it is easy to get in and out of. I am glad went here, even though it was not under the best circumstances. This is definitely an excellent option to have your laundry needs taken care of.

There was some wetness around downstairs toilet and it took about 5 minutes to replace the wax ring. We were told that a person would schedule for the pipe repair. Replacing it was challenging ( we visited and obtained estimates from several other places) but Lawn and Leisure of 103 Douglas Court, Sterling, Va brought us warm joy with a new Regency Gas Fireplace. T.C. was our salesman and helped by personalizing the entire process. We were given many pointers that led to success. Our fireplace was delivered in ten days while other stores said it would take several months to make delivery. T.C. recommended Dulles Solid Construction, owned by Gary Pulino as the contractor and he and his team exceeded all expectations. No detail was ovelooked and recommendations were spot on! This made the many decisions of mantel, surround stone, hearthstone and fireplace height easier. Since our gas fireplace was direct vent, siding had to be removed outside and all inside bricks removed with skill. The finished product is beautiful and all stonework installed to perfection.
