Gas Fireplace Lights our World! After 30 amazing warm winters our gas fireplace finally died. Replacing it was challenging ( we visited and obtained estimates from several other places) but Lawn and Leisure of 103 Douglas Court, Sterling, Va brought us warm joy with a new Regency Gas Fireplace. T.C. was our salesman and helped by personalizing the entire process. We were given many pointers that led to success. Our fireplace was delivered in ten days while other stores said it would take several months to make delivery. T.C. recommended Dulles Solid Construction, owned by Gary Pulino as the contractor and he and his team exceeded all expectations. No detail was ovelooked and recommendations were spot on! This made the many decisions of mantel, surround stone, hearthstone and fireplace height easier. Since our gas fireplace was direct vent, siding had to be removed outside and all inside bricks removed with skill. The finished product is beautiful and all stonework installed to perfection. I met Tom Rother today who owns Lawn & Leisure in Sterling which is a huge store with an incredible selection of grills. Tom is also a Vienna resident and a super nice guy. They actually have a lot of grills in the store too and deliver next day. He took us back to the warehouse so we could see the box sizes. He has a huge knowledge of grills, so I strongly recommend coming here before buying online. They have Weber, Napoleon, Green Egg, DCS, and many more. They do outdoor kitchens as well and deliver full setups. They even have furniture, fireplaces, ride on mowers, tools and many other items I didn't explore. Tom also uses to own a landscaping company that he sold off but has lots of recommendations. Extremely expensive repair service on mowers. If you decide not to go with their estimate, they give you your lawn mower back in pieces. They did this to my elderly father and according to them they do it to everyone Let me make this real easy for anyone that's reading this: Due to the use of ethanol in regular gasoline, the weep hole on your carburetor clogs up. 1. Drain gas from mower 2. Look where your spark plug is now look down a little ways that's where your priming ball is there's a little plastic cover if you remove that you'll get to your carburetor. 3. It's usually two to three bolts to remove the carburetor. There's a little bowl looking in it that I call the shot cut that's what the primer fills with gas so that your spark plug can ignite it and get the motor running if you remove your shot cup you will get to the weep hole in the carburetor. Use an earring or something the same gauge as an earring and run it through the weep hole. You can put a little carb cleaner on a rag and wipe it out real nice. You can also spray the weep hole to get rid of any excess build up 4. Reassemble and fill with gasoline. It will start right up. The operation literally takes an hour or less. Yet they try to charge my father $700 for this. Oh no doubt since he's going to spend $700 on a repair they can give him a deal and sell him a $300 lawn mower for 500 bucks. Such a steal, right? I knew that I wanted to switch from charcoal to gas grilling, and my limited research pointed me to a "real" grill rather than one of the imported grills at the big box stores. I found Lawn & Leisure through one of the manufacturers websites, and I drove the hour to spend some time learning more about my options. I ended up walking out with a great grill with the help from the fantastic folks at L&L. I was actually sold a cheaper model than I thought I needed after their staff took their time to understand my grilling needs. Fantastic store. Great proprietors, friendly and helpful, other reviews are spot-on .... but they also REFILL PROPANE TANKS. Not "swapping" - REFILL. I bought my own tanks, I want to keep the tanks I bought - and I want them FILLED - not 3/4 filled. Tom puts your tank on a scale and fills it to its full, safe, capacity. This means fewer dry tanks, less trips to get a refill, and a better value for your money. What a concept. I scoured the web looking for somewhere that refills tanks - this is the only place I could find. read more

Recently purchased a Weber grill for my new home. Was unsure after going to Lowe's, Home Depot and etc so I knew I needed someone who knew grills and their capabilities. Luckily I stumbled upon lawn and leisure. I met Tom who was able to walk my through different models, how they'll work for my home and what I was interested in them doing. This place is hands down the best place to go to buy any outdoor items. We've been shopping there for nearly 15 years and have bought patio furniture, umbrellas, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, snow blowers and gas grills from them. Their prices on the grills and lawn equipment we've purchased have been the same price as Home Depot and in some cases even cheaper. If you're buying a gas-powered item they will fill it with gas and show you how it operates. All of the employees are extremely knowledgeable about not only the products they have on the floor but the manufacturers as well. We've often gone to the store and simply told them what we wanted and they quickly gave us several options, even pulling out catalogs if they weren't floor items. One thing you should know if you are shopping for patio furniture: If you're looking for the $199 patio set that you can get at big box stores, you will probably need to go to the big box store. They sell pretty high quality furniture and the prices reflect that. It is worth it in the long run, though. we bought our patio furniture over a decade ago and it still looks like new. After 13 years it was time to replace my 2003 Ariens snow blower. After a significant amount of research, I chose a 32 inch Ariens HydroPro snowblower. The decision where to purchase the machine was much easier. My previous experience with Lawn and Leisure in Sterling had been excellent and I ordered the machine with confidence from them. The cost was very reasonable and it arrived exactly when they said it would. The set up and delivery was exceptional. The delivery person was well versed on the machine and provided an excellent tutorial on its operation.
