When I bought my TV, it was gigantic, expensive, and was supposed to be a last hurrah before we started having kids. I.E., not something that we would be replacing any time soon if things ever went south. Well, halfway through December, I saw a white dot on the screen and got up to wipe it off. Turns out it was the TV making the dot. Did some research and found out it was the first sign of something bad happening that would eventually wreck my TV. The chip to fix the problem was pretty expensive, but I'm pretty tech savvy, so I thought I would give it a try. But at the same time I was torn, because if I screwed things up, I would be stuck with a very expensive mistake and I could almost purchase a new TV - again a tough sell in this household. While researching some more on the interwebs, I saw that some owners had been able to get Samsung to fix the problem, but the results were inconsistent because of the call center. I gave it a try and to my delight, Samsung offered to send someone over to fix my six-and-a-half year old TV for FREE. Adam came over from Gabe's as soon as the part came over and I helped him move the TV so he could fix it. While he worked, he told me some awesome stuff about home electronics in general, and we both reminisced about the good ol' days of TV's as many moons ago I used to work in a big box electronics store. He was very efficient and polite - I'm not sure I could imagine a better guy for the job. And the best part - I didn't have to spend a dime and I am back in business in the TV world. I would not hesitate to buy another Samsung product or to call Gabe's if I ever have a problem with home electronics or appliances.

Upon receiving the package, I found it did NOT contain what I had paid for, but instead an old generic cymbal stand in poor condition, and a low end Gibraltar stand. It's clear this was not an accident, and that some internal theft has occurred, as we received generic hardware. The store manager will not address the issue, leaving me to contact their corporate office. They sold me a 9000 series stand, sent a 5000 series, and wont provide any discount for their mistake/internal theft problems. Awful store, awful management, avoid this location for sure. Too bad since this is such a great market, but its just not worth the risk, especially given the sketchy staff.
