My daughter took her MacBook Pro in to be cleaned because it was overheating. ZMac cleaned it, ran tests and, unfortunately it was still overheating. Even though he did the work, he chose not to charge her for it because it didn't solve her problem. I would give zMac one hundred stars if I could. I brought in a MacBook Pro with a dead display. Other shops had predicted it was the motherboard- an expensive repair. I dropped it off on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend and needed it fixed by Wednesday for work travel... knowing that Sunday/Monday are not normal business days. They not only worked to get it done by Sunday evening, but more impressively, they figured out it was just a connection... a much, much cheaper fix. They could have told me it was the motherboard, and I wouldn't have known the difference. Bottom line, zMac was ultra honest and ultra accommodating. I have been bringing my macbooks to Zmac for years. They always fix things that I've been told were unfixable otherwise. They have saved me thousands of dollars and stretched the life of my mac products! In addition, I went in the store to buy a specific pair of headphones for a last minute meeting I had to take. CUSTOMER BE AWARE!!!!! They caused additional damage to my apple iPad and would not take responsibility for it - offering me no solution. So basically I took a woking iPad in for a screen replacement and left with a damage that was irreversible and that was it - the owner was ok with that. They are running a shady business there! Horrible place, I went in to get my iPhone repaired AND MENTIONED I HAD APPLE CARE, to which the lady acknowledged by saying okay. Repaired my phone within the hour and when I go to check out my bill is $135 for fixing a display and screen. I said again I have apple care so it should be like $50 at most. Had them replace the screen on my iPhone 12. Right away noticed the touch wasn't working great, but figured I would deal with it since I am planning on trading it in for the 15 soon. Second day I had the new screen I was holding my phone by the top speaker and the screen shattered. I was shocked as I didn't drop it or anything. Called to tell them that screen shattered without dropping and they said it was impossible and refused to replace. I told not impossible since it happened. Refused to replace and said I could pay for new screen, I said I didn't want one since they already gave me defunct screen. As soon as I got off phone with them googled screens cracking without dropping and found hundreds of reviews and articles saying is happens and common by where top speaker is. Horrible service and no help when sold me defunct product. Would not recommend!! read more

After Simply Mac leaving me a bad taste in my mouth (and pocket) due to a previous issue, the glowing reviews about ZMac caught my eye and I took my MacMini to perform a hard drive swap. I already cloned the slow internal drive to an add in an external enclosure, so all they had to do was swap them. A has meses up my fingers' sensitivity and swapping drives in a 2014 Mac Mini is quite tricky. Point being, took it there in the afternoon and it was ready the next day. They called and let me know if the status where if I took it to Simply Mac, I would have to do the calling and waiting. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!! I should've been going here FIRST for the past 15 years!!! My wife's 2012 MacBook Air needed a replacement trackpad. The Apple Store itself said they didn't have the part (and on a follow-up visit, did something that made the trackpad go from sorta working to dead). Other repair shops in the general area, including Murfreesboro and Cool Springs, said it'd take 3-5 days to get the part - understandable, but a pain in the keister. But ZMAC came through! In my case they were able to make the repair same-day and at a reasonable price (certainly a LOT lower than replacing the MacBook)! From now on they will be the FIRST people I call for repairs on our Apple products. Their service is outrageously good!!! read more

Z is THE MAN. I've taken iPhones, iPads, MacBook Airs, and MacBook Pros to him over the years and he's ALWAYS done a spectacular job at a very fair price. Most recently he migrated my old MBP admin profile to a newer refurbished one (that had some weird issues), and he did it perfectly in about an hour for a very fair price ($70 plus tax). As a longtime Mac user (nearly 20 years) I think of Z like the BEST independent mechanic I've ever had; I seriously won't take my machines anywhere else. If I can't troubleshoot my way through an issue using Apple discussions or Reddit, I just take it to Z and he fixes it. FAST. Also he's a super nice guy and it's a family business that should be supported. And yeah, I know the parking lot is tricky to get in and out of but it's absolutely worth it. My hard drive crashed on my iMac. I knew I could fix it myself. But who has time for that and wants to risk damaging an iMac. Not me. I called them up for an estimate, and I was surprised how reasonable the price options were for the new drive. They scheduled me in the next day. They were quicker than they quoted. Great! It's always better to under promise and over deliver. They set me up with an SSD, and since I had a Fusion drive, they left that in. Now, my computer is faster than before. I have bought many mac products over the years from Mac Authority, now Simply Mac. Not anymore. I brought my 2011 IMac 27" in to Simply Mac for repair as the graphics were non-existent and it would hang up on booting up. I watched as they hooked it up to the diagnostic and was told the issue was the motherboard. Since 2011 is now obsolete and the cards are no longer made by Apple, I was told that my only recourse was to buy a new computer. Several times I was told I had to buy a new computer. I went around the corner to ZMAC. Obviously, the issue was misdiagnosed. It was not the motherboard, it was the graphics card. Z at ZMAC helped me pick out a card to order online. I opted for a more expensive card from China. Since my MAC is now obsolete from 2011 it doesn't matter if I use 3rd party parts. Z at ZMAC fixed my 2011 2 tb 27" IMAC in 2 days. They ignored emails asking for feedback on the repair and refused any information by phone and weren't very helpful or pleasant to speak with after holding onto the laptop for days.
