The food is usually good, but on average the biscuit will be burned half then time. The service is good as well.

Go ahead, open the door and you will see big families, friends and what appears to be regulars all enjoying their meals and each other. Staff was extremely fun and made me feel right at home. This restaurant reminds me to NEVER judge a restaurant from the outside! Wow... had the steak ribeye. Fantastic! First time I have had a steak cooked perfectly at a restaurant in a long, long time! Onion rings, worth the up charge! Burgers...Amazing! Drinks, perfection! A lot of fun, a lot of food and great staff! I will be back soon and often! 5 stars!

For a two top we had to wait an hour to get an appetizer that came out cold, then another 45 minutes to have the main course sent out. It came out cold and they forgot one of the two dishes entirely. We were then told the order for the second person would be out shortly and waited another 20 minutes, after which we asked for the check and left. The wait staff was terrible, the bar tender was on her phone and not checking on people at the bar or taking on the task of pouring a beer, for which I had to wait 25 minutes after ordering while she was on her phone. When the bartender was not on her phone she was making an attempt at flirting with another worker in the building. Overall, I would highly recommend going anywhere else nearby. The only positive aspect here would be the environment. It was decent and clean. So I would say if you are interested in going here you should only go for the $2.75 beers during happy hour. Cheers, Steddy's. I will never go back for this overpriced miserable food.

We could not believe how smooth the creme brulee was. The torched sugar on top provided the shell you're looking for but was so thin and brittle! The best I've ever had. Now on to that kiss of air called pavlova. 1st of all the berries were definitely fresh. Each had the most perfect flavor, like you just picked them yourself. The merengue was so light.... You spoon it in your mouth and it just evaporates. How can it be so light, yet still resist your spoon in a way that deceives you into thinking it will be too sweet, and heavy? No, it's flavored air. Now onto the service. Very welcoming as soon as we entered. Our server couldn't have been better. Delightful to talk to, knowledgeable of the food and it's sources. Such a pleasure. We dine out frequently and this experience was much better than the last Michelin recommendation we visited. Excellent work Element! You are a gem!

I had to take home leftovers (which served me for two more meals). Since then, I've either ordered just the hamburger (sides) or made sure that it would be my only meal of the day. Very caloric. But SOOOO worth it. The burger, besides its size, is perfectly cooked and moist. You have topping options like chili, lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc. They also have a range of condiments/sauces at the counter for you to use during your meal. This is hands down the BEST burger in the area (much tastier than BGR and Jake's Wayback and WAY cheaper). The sweet tea is perfect as well. The sides I've had (fries, hush puppies, onion rings) have all been delicious as well. The decor is all Coca Cola. It's like walking into museum. It's very cute and interesting to look at. The business is family-owned I'm assuming. I've received nothing but friendly and prompt service. The outside of the Monk's Corner Cafe does seem sketch but don't be afraid to walk in! You'll be drooling before even going through the door because of the smells wafting to the outside. Warning: if you do use debit/credit, there is a small fee (I think 75 cents?). Just bring cash if you can. I honestly don't know why this place isn't more popular among Clemson students. I've made sure to tell all my friends about it and they've loved it, too. I HIGHLY recommend!
