Like all Amercian's we bought the perfect house but then you have to adopt a big box store as a new dependent to make it "perfecter". Anyway, we went to DQ after a day of unpacking boxes. I got a burger combo and the wife got the Alaskan fish sandwich combo. It was funny because we both got on an odd off-ramp about her sandwich not tasting like salmon? What? Why would it? I mean some salmon spend time in Alaska but all fish from Alaska are not salmon. We were tired. My burger was okay, a little overdone for me (but I am a medium/medium rare guy and fast food isn't cooked to order). The vegetables were fresh and the fries were pretty decent. She got ice cream, it seemed fine, at least it must have been because it was gone baby gone! The place was clean and the staff were friendly and effecient. I have never had a great sandwich at a Subway, but I have also never had a bad one. So this will always be a place to go for the comfort of knowing what's going to be inside of the paper wrapper. That is the function of American fast food chains, the best of them produce the same thing in every town across the country. The bad one's try too hard, have too many fad things on the menu, and make unforced errors. This Subway like most, gave me what I expected, at a Subway price.
