Well as time has passed much has changed. Mar-Val Sentry Market opened a couple decades ago, I guess, making it much easier to get a good selection of groceries on this side of the lake. Now if you want to make the drive to Lakeport you can visit Safeway. My how things have changed! Back to Sentry... selection is good, staff are friendly, store is clean, and most importantly the location is convenient for those staying in Glenhaven, Lucerne, Nice, and Upper Lake. Prices are a bit on the high side, but the convenience makes it worth the extra cost! I'm sure when I'm up at the Lake, I'll be shopping at Sentry, just as I have this trip and many before.

The workers are always friendly enough and are usually fast and efficient but sometimes it gets very busy in there and there are long lines. We always stop here for snacks and drinks on the way to see family in Clear Lake. There is plenty of parking, gas pumps and it's an easy on easy off from the main road. Also what I like is it feels safe enough, I don't get harassed by beggars and the parking lot is open and well lit.

We were unprepared for snacks or drinks but I found this on the map and came in to get supplies! They sell cold drinks, all the chips, and various sundries.
