I only got one picture because we got so excited when we got our food that we were halfway done eating before I remembered I wanted to take a picture! The only reason this one made it was cause i ordered an extra for dinner later! They also have a great salad bar, its not always up and running but if you get a chance at it...do it! We always look forward to stopping at Perry's when we are in the area. After our visit today we will never be coming back. The girls were extremely rude (one in particular). She deliberately held back our order and we watched as they fulfilled orders from 4 people behind us as we stood there. Then we were finally handed our bag and it was not correct. When brought to their attention, the "one" said "oh, it's sitting over here ... with a smirk". I have never been treated so rudely. And the sandwiches were terrible. On purpose? Moat likely. My husband and I were on a road trip checking out the area. We were starving but pushed for time and needed something to-go. The area did not have any fast-food, hangry was setting in when we stumbled upon Perry's Deli and stopped. Turned out to be an excellent choice. The staff was three younger people and they were top notch. Friendly, helpful, and quick. The sandwiches were fresh, huge and tasted fantastic. If you like deviled eggs - try Perry's. I love Perrys. I've been coming there for years. I travel from Santa Rosa to Lake County to photograph real estate and vacation rentals for my clients and always make it a point to stop in for my favorite sandwiches, deli salads and beverages at Perrys. The service is always friendly, professional and fast. Best in the West. My only concern is the sliced sourdough bread they've serving. Its substandard in some important ways. The quality is just not there. It's too thin, tastes cheap, and has a light sourdough flavor if any at all. I've ordered my amazing pastrami and other fav meats on this sliced sourdough hoping for a change and have been disappointed every time with this bread. Soft rolls and french roll are great but the sliced sourdough just doesn't cut the mustard. Perry's and indeed their patrons would be better served with a different brand/baker/vendor for this important main staple for any great Deli like Perry's. I'll still make my pilgrimages to their deli everytime im coming through but for now I'll ask for a different bread. All in all still love the deli, staff and overall quality. read more

Update: the business owner reached out to me both privately and on here and made things right. I really appreciate that. It doesn't change the initial experience but it does make a positive impact on my overall feeling about this establishment. After getting terrible service as far as 4-5 workers Including the owner or manger standing around while one new lady struggled to slowly make my sandwiches. After waiting an incredibly long time to have 4 sandwiches made I was told my order was ready and handed a large grocery bag with the drinks and chips I bought as well. I left annoyed but wasn't going to leave this review bc I've been here in the past and gotten ok service, never great but ok and the food is usually pretty good. After I drove the 30 minutes to my Father's house I went to get the sandwiches out for a rainy bday picnic lunch. When I emptied the bag I noticed only 1 of the 4 sandwich's was in the bag. I called and they told me they gave my sandwiches to someone else but I could come back. When I said it was a 30 minute drive for me to come back and I just wanted a refund. I've had a million sandwhiches all over the bay and the tri tip with bacon is probably number 1 on my list the bacon isn't rubbery bacon it's actually good the sauces are on point and I got in and out under 10 minutes. We keep giving this place a chance. Today was our last time. Ordered online, but showed up 10 minutes early. Staff got confused, but order was ready quickly. Sandwich was extremely soggy for just being made. The cucumbers appeared to be pickled cucumbers and not freshly sliced. The lettuce had dark spots and wilted for being just made. The tomatoes had that white foam starting to form, which indicates old. Sourdough roll was stale, which indicates old. Second sandwich was a French dip. My hubs said it was so-so. Meat had zero flavor and the bun was meh. Asked if he'd get that sandwich again and he said no. I used to love this place. Ate here all the time growing up... but lately, going downhill fast. 1. Walk in and NOBODY is wearing a mask, again. Really. There was about 5 people behind the counter. They have a large selection of what you would expect: chips, cookies, candy, water, sodas, beer, etc. They also have a full deli. You can can the usual suspects or one of the combos they made up (about 20 or so to choose from). The service is always friendly and usually prompt. (They can get busy.) Well exploring the area we saw Perry's delicatessen. We stopped in and grab two sandwiches. I ordered the number 28 which is a Reuben. It was hot and flavorful. The pastrami was Finley sliced and was not dry. There was just enough cheese and sauerkraut. I had the option of dark or light rye. I selected light. There was lots of meat in the sandwich. Not all Reuben sandwiches are good, but this one was. Hubby had the number 14. Again there was lots of turkey in the sandwich. The bread was freshly toasted and the sauce was very good. This place... you will absolutely love it and hate it all at the same time. LOVE: the food is amazing! The triptip hot sandwich is to die for. The pasta salads are really good. The green salad bar is awesome. Even the fountain soda has the crushed ice (my favorite). HATE: the gals that work there! Not only are they extremely slow.....They are the rudest staff I have ever encountered. They give everyone dirty looks, act like they hate their jobs and are not friendly at all. I was commenting to my daughter how rude the service always is and the people at the next table were telling me they were having the same opinion. Apparently, you can only get a job there if you know how to be "rude". The management/owner should really do something to uplift the spirits of his staff. Sadly, we have opted out of going there twice since our last visit because we didn't want to deal with the staff's attitudes. We went to Jolly Cone instead- yuk. Now, to top it all off they have paper straws- gross! Completely ruins the soda. BAD STAFF.......Great food! What to do?! Update: they are back to plastic straws- hoorah! However, the staff still needs some work! The gal taking our sandwhich order was very friendly but the gal at the register was extremely rude and should not be in customer service. Progress?!
